I had asked Mr…read more Martinez to complete caulking and to fix up a patch in the ceiling that resulted from a leak from the upstairs bathroom in my condo. Three weeks later, my tenants reported that the leak had returned. A plumber and a separate handyman identified the problem as stemming from Mr. Martinez's failure to properly caulk the bathtub. When I called Mr. Martinez up about fixing the problem, he had the audacity to tell me he would provide an estimate of how much he would charge me to re-do the work. He refused to accept any responsibility for his job and refused to come back to the condo to fix his mistake. Although he promised he would refund me, several weeks later, he still has not. As a result, I have to pay another handyman to re-do the caulking and to re-patch up the ceiling that was Mr. Martinez's job to do right in the first instance. I would not be writing this review if Mr. Martinez had simply erred in how he fixed the caulking, and then came back out to fix it without charge. But it is his refusal to take ownership and make the situation right that is unacceptable, and is something that anyone should be mindful of before you do business with him.

Then they kept insisting that they needed an up front payment to finish the job. I fell for that trap and paid them a portion up front. They simply disappeared after that. I confronted them at their house and they claimed they finished the job! They disconnected the sprinkler system and did not let me know. Some of my plants almost died because of this. They keep promising that they will come back on some date and then not show up. I am now about $3000 poorer and in the need for a new contractor!
