The side of the driver's seat vinyl section in my car split open and Martin replaced it with leather, it looks nothing ever happened. Martin helped to match the color of my seats and found the right materials. The middle section of the seat is leather but the rest is vinyl, I chose to have it done in leather. It looks like new. I went to Martin with a seat I found in my backyard, heavily damaged from sun and rain. I asked if he could see if he could save anything from it but expected him to call to say that it was far too damaged. I waited before i decided to write this review. Since this place did a great job on my MBZ seat a while back ago, I figured this was the first place to go to when my headliner on my Porsche needed fixing. When I arrived, Martin took at look at the headliner and said he's never worked on a Porsche headliner before, so that worried me a little bit but he gave me a very reasonable quote. So, I was still going to trust him. But when I tried to make an appointment, he told me to come back in 2 weeks and we'll "try" and make an appointment then....HUH??? I told him I was willing to make appointment NOW but he said that he didn't know if the jobs he had going on now would be finish by then because he was waiting on a customer(s)...HUH??? I don't think Martin understands the concept of appointments and scheduling. This place is fabulous!!! After having called 3 other places, Martin was the most responsive and gave me the best price! He always answered the phone and accommodated my busy schedule. He was able to see me the same or next day. My seam on driver's chair was coming undone. It needed a simple stitching. Other places did not return my calls or wanted $365 to repair! Martin fixed mine for under a third of that, $100. Martin added extra foam to my seat to make it fuller, along with the stitch. The work was immaculate and made my car look new again!! I've gone to Martin for many years, but this time I asked him to redo a couch that I had picked up on the side of the road. He doesn't always do furniture because it takes longer than a car repair- just make sure to plan ahead and not want a quick turnaround as he gets really busy.. Either way, he was able to completely take it apart and add fresh new foam. He was able to help me pick out a cool material at a bargain rate too! First Visit: I brought a vintage motorcycle seat to Martin. He did not want to work on it but I had a great conversation and could tell he was a pro. He told me when I took off the old seat the pan would be rusty. He was correct. Second Visit: I brought back the seat pan, powder coated along with new foam and a seat cover. Again Martin did not want to work on it. He said the both the foam and seat cover were wrong and showed me why. He was correct. Third Visit: I brought back the seat pan, powder coated along with the same foam and a different seat cover I had found. Martin and I again discussed for quite a while. He felt it might work with some serious modifications involving trimming the foam and sewing. However we were both a little nervous of how it would fit the motorcycle. Fourth Visit: I trailered the motorcycle to Martin's shop so we could see how the new seat would fit on the bike. It was only on this forth visit that I left everything with Martin. I had a very confident feeling that Martin would do a great job. Fifth Visit: After hearing from Martin I showed back up to pick up the seat. I was BETTER than I expected and looked absolutely perfect. I am very happy. All of those visits and long discussions paid off as I knew they would. I originally went to have my center console (arm rest) replaced. I bought the material online for $8. I asked Martin how much would he charged me to install it over the phone. He said $35! Once I got there he saw the material & told me this is not for the right model. He could installed it no problem but it won't look good as the original. So he told me " I can make you a new one for $65 (vinyl) or $80 leather." I left undecided. Then I called him & told him let's do vinyl! He did it the same day. He was leaving but told me to just bring it over. He did a great job! We both speak Spanish so it was easy for both us to communicate. I must point out. Other places were charging me $75 to $110 just to install it. Sure you can look around & you will find out places for cheaper prices no doubt. I have to give credit where credit is due. Martin has excellent skills in upholstery. I am prepping a 2000 Vw beetle to sell, and the drivers oem seat was torn in several spots and worn out generally. I disassembled the seat and brought the seat cover to him. Patching the worn out panels only was not an option, so the entire seat cover had to be re-done. Martin helped me pick out some suitable materials to match the existing look of the seats and gave me a reasonable price. He worked his magic and completed the new seat cover within four days. He had concerns about my ability to re-install the seat cover given the numerous clips and springs involved. He was justifiably concerned, as I don't have much experience with the trade. After struggling with the the installation, I swallowed my pride and drove back to the shop and asked Martin for help. He corrected my installation issues, and the seat cover looks amazing. We had a tear on the driver's seat of our car. Martin showed me that he had material that was a perfect match. Before he could begin, our car required the cover below the dashboard to be removed and the wires to be disconnected, which caused the airbag light to be turned on. We picked the car up the next day and couldn't have been more pleased by the job Martin had done. The only problem was the airbag light was still on. Martin closed his shop and had me follow him to his nearby mechanic so the airbag light could be turned off by the auto computer. The mechanic was extremely busy and told Martin he would have to take off the cover and reconnect the wires himself. I followed him back to his shop and he got under the dashboard, unscrewed the screws to remove the cover and reconnected the wires. He put the cover back on and we then went back to the mechanic. The mechanic then connected the auto computer to an outlet on the cover and the airbag light turned off. I was very impressed by how Martin took care of this problem, free of charge, that was there only because of the make of my car. He could have sent me to have it done since it wasn't his fault. I later checked with another mechanic and was told it would have cost a minimum of $250 to have the problem resolved. I am glad I went to Martin, as he did an excellent job of matching the upholstery to the other seat so it looks as good as when the car was new. read more

Wanted to give a little update to my hubby's truck. I saw that this vendor had a lot of positive remarks, so I thought I'd give them a try. It's a tiny shop, family owned and operated. Went for the estimate and it was very reasonable. Had a new headliner made, along with the visors. Also had a section of the drivers seat reupholstered. It included adding some new padding. Martin was able to match the upholstery to the original. Now we're talking a couple decade old truck, so that was quite impressive. So I purchased a new set up factory style leather covers off Ebay and went to Martin's Auto Upholstery. It's located in old Santa Ana. Small shop....one man operation that I saw...maybe more when he busier. He gave me a price and I set up a day to drop it off. Dropped it off in the morning and he had it finished in the afternoon. His price was more than reasonable, he replaced some of the foam as well. As I write this it's been almost 2 years since he did the job and it still looks like he did it yesterday. Well I just bought an old BMW (88 M5, Yay!) and the front drivers seat needs some work. I needed my Toyota Camry 2005 roof/upholstery replaced. It was old and started falling apart in the back. I priced around and found that Martin's Upholstery had the best deal and had a good rating on Yelp. I had called ahead to ask for a quote and was pleased to hear it was going to cost me $180. I took my car in the next day and met up with Martin. He was very nice and caring. Detail was important to him. He had me match up swatches so that my new upholstery would match my visors. I color that had had chosen he didn't have enough material to cover my roof so I was given two options: (1) chose a color he did have enough material for but the color was a little off and I would get a discount or (2) he would need more time to get the color I'd chosen but no discount. I was in no rush so I asked for the color I had originally picked out. It took about 3 hours and the overall workmanship was unbelievable. My upholstery looked brand new and the quality was excellent. I was so glad I decided to come here. Martin took great care of my car and I would highly recommend him!!! Went to Martin to get my Infinity G35 seat repaired. It was pretty bad. A quarter of the side seat was ripped in half. During my appointment he showed me several shades of black material that would coordinate with the rest of the seat. I appreciated that he asked my opinion on the color. He did amazing work! It blends perfectly with the seat to the point people can't tell that I had the work done. Not to mention he is extremely personable and kind.
