They have a great selection of healthy foods, pastries and bulk items. I buy their fresh no salt no sugar Peanut and Almond butters. And I really like it when my favs are on sale. They often9/30 have new products so I don't get board. Their sit down restaurant is top notch with hot and cold choices. And soups are super. If a product I want is out of stock they will call me when it comes in. They have redisters in back and front of store with sampling and tasty food ideas to add to your purchase. Also, to go sandwiches and ready made cold and full meal meals.

It smelled like patchouli, sandalwood, and palo santo. I liked the variety of vitamins and other natural products in the store, including their selection of spices and herbs. The cafe is located in the back with seating inside and outside. My husband ordered the Harvest Salad and a soup and I had the Tuna Salad on a wrap with soup. Both of our meals were excellent and what we wanted for a healthy lunch. The Thai soup was flavorful and delicious, the tuna salad was light and fresh, and the harvest salad was fresh and the mix of the Gorgonzola cheese with the apples was very good. Bonus to them for grinding it for me as well. They also had meats in a cooler for sale from nearby 8 O'Clock Ranch. The employees were very friendly and the inside space reminded me of an old pharmacy. They had plenty of people to help and overall I would recommend stopping here for fresh local grocery items or just to check their inventory out! Every town should have a store like this.

The produce is fantastic and is monitored by the amazing and friendly produce manager, George. The facility is clean; the employees are helpful. This year some new front end associates came in; AJ, Nate, Juan, and a sweet girl who's nametag I can never see.... They are so well trained, and so kind. And, today I even scored a GF brownie - delicious. Prices definitely reflect the quality, which I won't complain about - it just makes it a more occasional stop for me.

There were wooden crates in front of the display empty except for the top one which had the same rotten beans in it. I saw what I thought was an employee from the produce section and I said "your beans are rotten." His reply was " a lot of them in there are". Why would a store like Farm Boy dish up the last of their rotten beans instead of discarding them. I was very disappointed that a store that prides itself on its produce would actually charge for rotten beans let alone expect people to buy them.

First one laughed when we mentioned a dairy allergy. Second told us that our 10 items was too many for the 8 item line, 4 of which were the same item. There were 2 other cash open each with a line of 3-5 with at least half full carts. Cashier doesn't look at general direction, doesn't talk to me, almost threw items on counter, then after I paid under his breath come again...turned looked laughed not in this lifetime. Original review: So Almost Perfect is a chain with several locations. Prior to my visit to this Brockville location, I had only ever been to the Toronto location. I would say that the Brockville location is comparable to the Toronto location. Almost Perfect is a grocery store outlet. They sell items that are "almost perfect" like mis-formed chocolate bars, or broken cookies. They also sell items that are approaching their best-before date or discontinued products, like things in flavours that didn't sell well. Their prices are cheap, cheap, cheap. I got some kale chips that usually sell for $6.99 a bag at Loblaws for only $3.33 a bag (the "best-before date" was 3 months from the date of purchase, so not bad at all). They had lots of Udi's gluten-free breads going for $10 for 3 loaves. They had Annie's organic gummies for $2.99 a box. Inventory changes regularly, so it's a surprise with every visit :) This location is a stand alone store (not in a strip mall). There's an attached parking lot with free parking. Staff are super nice and helpful. They only take cash or debit. No credit cards. This place is awesome. If I lived in Brockville, I would go every week!

What I love is the selection of fresh, local produce at great prices. The vendors are mostly very cheerful and friendly folks, and I enjoy making my weekly trips to pick up whatever is in season. I don't pay much attention to the craft/baked goods or jams and jellies - although they all look fantastic. They are not really up my alley, but if you're interested, come check them out. This market will never be the biggest, nor the most varietal, but what it does offer is great local food from local people. In fact, I'll go as far as to say I prefer the simplicity that some of the other reviewers seemed to be disappointed by. There are no frills here, and that's just the way I like it.

Needless to say, come Spring and through Fall Wendy and Rick are busy people. Good thing they have an adorably floppy Basset Hound riding shotgun on deliveries. Anyway, the store is out in the boonies. But if you're around the area/looking for a country drive it's a great place to stop in.
