In my experience everyone that works in this facility is honest, fair, they want to help people and they want them to be safe. This is the first and ONLY mechanic shop that I have been to as a woman where I wasn't treated like I was a dunce or less than. The employees here explain things in a way of informing you not persuading you or intimidating you with fear that if you don't complete the job something extraordinarily bad is going to happen. They give you realistic expectations on how much more you can drive until you need to really get it done which helps people that are on a budget. I think the prices are higher on average but the amount of service, attention, and thoroughness you get the price is very fair! I recommend this place to everyone I know especially women because I know how important it is to feel safe with mechanics and not like they are trying to get over on you! NOW this company is owned by Benchmark in Winston Salem who specializes in leasing used autos (John no longer owns the company and Rick, who was a great mechanic no longer works there). Apparently Benchmark bought out 1st choice auto to fix their cars, that they ship to Winston. That is fine. However, if that is your business, you should not take walk in business to do auto work. Spent close to $900 and the only thing I have to show for it is two new front rotors and a break pad. Two other issues (majority of bill) has not been fixed. Went in to see if they would do anything, and the new "branch manager" Mark Hobson (owner of Hobson performance vehicles down the road in town) told me there was nothing that they could do.

Too far from any dealership we located the nearest auto repair shop and thankfully DK Hardee was only 8 mins away. They sent an amazing tow guy for us (shout out to Nathan Hedrick of Valley Towing) and got the car up on the lift the minute we arrived. Mike, the service advisor, was friendly, reassuring, and attentive to our needs. His team was incredibly thorough with their assessment of the car -- repaired what they could and made sure we would get to our destination (and back home to FL) without any problems. We were in and out in 40 mins and with the tow and service, we paid only $120. Can't say the same for the care, service, and estimate we got from our dealership when we got home. So grateful to Mike, Nathan and the team at DK Hardee. It's nice to know there are still really good people in this world!

I had a terrible experience at this shop. I went to Chris for a labor only brake job for rear…read morebrakes & rotors (I bought my own parts prior). I was quoted 158 for this job the day prior over the phone and I confirmed at the start of the appointment if that would be the price. My brakes were in poor shape, missing a brake pad on one side and the mechanics spent an extra 15-20 mins working on my cylinder. At the end of the job, Chris informed me that they got air on the line and would have to bleed the brakes. (I've always had my brakes bled at the end of any brake job so this is standard for me to have done whenever I get my breaks done. They told me this would be an extra 120 dollars at the end of the job. My father is a mechanic and said that price was a little high just to bleed the brakes and was very familiar with the procedure. He told me "go call your dad and ask him to send you more money." When I asked if they could take 20 bucks off and knock the price down to 100 from 120 he asked me to tell him how old I was which I thought was rude and uncalled for. I told him I was 30 and he proceeded to say "wow you look 18" and said "one day you're going to have to learn that everything in life isn't free sweetheart." When I went to his office to pay he also said I'm going to have to buy him lunch because they spent extra time working on my car than they planned. Disgusting behavior. I would not recommend this shop to any woman (or really anyone) unless you want to be taken advantage of and upsold. They ended up bleeding one brake so my car would be somewhat drivable. My interior dashboard was also scratched up when I got my car back from them.
