    Double Cheeseburger

Loveeeee it here! The food is always hot & tasty, and the staff is always nice & helpful. I order my food, sit for about 10 min, then everything is ready! Tables are clean and the ambiance feels like a mom + pop burger joint. I get the salt & vinegar french fries with a double cheeseburger-- add bacon and caramelized onions. Y'all DON'T forget the Marty's sauce!! Get there and freestyle if you want, Everything hits! 10/10 yall! I would eat everyday, if not for summer being so close

So glad they opened an outpost around the hood. I've been at their Central Ave location. Much larger and more space to sit down. Regardless, service and food were excellent. We were there when a whole bunch of fire fighters were ordering. A sign for a good spot. Lunch and dinner recommended. Outpost makes sense as well for the location and home delivery service focus. Either way, if you are near, go support them so maybe they can open a larger space for the hood. Marty's gets a recommendation!

Great burgers and amazing fries with fast and friendly service. I would definitely come back, small inside with limited tables but super cute.

*reviewing on food only, by delivery. Everything was packaged really well! Drinks were all sealed and in cup holders. Didn't dine in, though driving by it, you can see it's definitely smaller than the other Marty's locations. Food was good! Nothing mind blowing but happy to have a smash burger place in the Journal/McGinley square area! The fries were a little greasy/soggy but I think that's more of a delivery consideration than a Marty's issue. Really enjoyed the spicy chicken sandwich as well! Nice heat level, crispy, cooked well! Rise n Shine burger comes with a fried egg and Taylor ham (no runny yolk like I was hoping for but still pretty good). Milk shakes were good too.

Tastes kind of like Culver's Butter Burger. It was pretty good. Salty. And, the special sauce was kind of good.

The ambiance is definitely no-frills and definitely reminiscent of an old-school diner complete with their friendly service. As I said, despite it being called Boulevard Drinks, the hot dogs are the real stars here and should definitely not be missed. Go with their chili as a topping. The knishes are also good. I would definitely recommend Boulevard Drinks. There is a reason it has been here for ninety years and is definitely a Journal Square destination. Five stars all the way.

Now 2026 the hotdogs and the toppings are slightly different but is just as great as back in the day The pineapple drink was definitely much better in the 70s but back then the drink was stored in a stainless steal tank and the pumps were on top and they poured from the spout. But do to the dept of health it was no longer aloud to be pumped from the tanks But the drink is still really great. I love this place. Out of three hot dog places this one survived and thank god. Service is always great, ambiance its a hotdog place its perfect the way it is. Back in the day you used to get a drink and hotdogs 24 7 always had crazy people at night always action. Very entertaining trust me. Everyone stopped here before heading to Lowe's theater grabbed dogs and ate before the Godzilla movie started or a Disney movie or a martial arts movie. I can tell you every seat me and my mom use to sit in movie theater $1.75 movie ticket I miss those days alot but when ever i want to go back in time i just go grab a dog and a drink sit and go back in time 55 years as a customer and still going to get my dogs and drink. I remember nick and Raymond they were great friend of my dads they use to work there. This place is what makes the square the square without it; it would just be a dump.

While food took awhile, we were no in a rush and the employees were friendly. The crif burger and New Yorker were too basic for me, but I enjoyed the elote topping for the elote dog. The tots were a nice side to pair with your meal. There's nothing like some hot dogs and burgers before/after drinking, so it's a smart pairing being next to all the bars. Would I come here solely for the hot dogs and burgers? Probably not. But it works great together with PDT.

The crif is pork and beef, New Yorker (all beef) and veggie option. I did a New Yorker (all beef) $4.75 with sauerkraut ($0.75) and the Spicy Redneck which featured a bacon wrapped crif dog with chili, coleslaw and picked jalapeños. Both satisfied the hot dog craving I had. There are also tater tots and burgers available. The bread was a bit stale, hence the 3 stars and the bun split on my New Yorker making it messy to eat. The woman behind the counter was friendly and suggested I try the dog featured this month- featuring a fried pickle or the Tsunami which has teriyaki sauce and pineapples. I would stop here again if in the area, but for basic dog a cart will hit the spot.

A short walk later, I found myself at Destination Dogs, a place I had seen in photographs that suggested capaciousness. In reality, it is smaller.  This is not a complaint, just an observation.  I remember once hearing something about the contents of small packages. At 12:30 the place was full. Packed with humanity and appetite. I was seated quickly, as if someone had anticipated my hunger in advance. From the bar came the sound of construction crews discussing their midday rituals. Apparently this is where they come on Fridays, to repair themselves while they repair the city. It explained everything. Service was swift and attentive, a minor miracle given the crowd. I began with a Scotch egg, an item that seemed to have wandered in from another story entirely. I ordered it for that reason. I had always imagined my first Scotch egg would be eaten in an English pub under low ceilings and older regrets. Instead, here it was. Perfectly crisp, warm, and generous. The universe does not ask for permission. Then came the main event. The menu is an atlas of hot dogs. Domestic. International. Proteins in tube form arranged like possibilities. There is even an invitation to build your own, which I accepted. I attempted to recreate a favorite from Crif Dogs, a thing called the Spicy Redneck. Bacon wrapped dog. Pickled jalapenos. Coleslaw. Simple in theory. Destination Dogs improved upon it in every way that matters. The bacon crisped with purpose. The jalapenos spoke clearly. The coleslaw behaved. The hot dog itself seemed proud to be there. All of this, plus a 16 ounce beer, cost me about twenty five dollars with tip. A small price for order in a chaotic universe. Five stars. Not because perfection exists, but because this comes close enough to make the argument.

It was delish but it could be improved with more or larger pepperonis. Also the sausage to bun ratio was off. Either make the sausage bigger or the bun smaller. Bottom line, you'll enjoy your food and beer.
