Visited this restaurant several years ago and tried the Mac and cheese burger with fries. It wasn't bad from what I remember and it was part of a weekly special they had. Service was fine and the restaurant itself is nice, a bit dark but I guess that's meant to set a certain mood. Parking is limited so that could be annoying but if I'm ever in the area and craving a burger, I'd probably go back! Side note: I found the pic from 2018 so I'm not sure if they still offer this

Pretty good place! Burgers were good, they had a gluten free bun option which was great!!!! Skip the regular fries, they're cardboard. Other wise good meal that satisfied the burger craving.

We had been here for early lunch around 11:30am Disinterested hostess, average food and ok ambiance Burgers are for $15 or more and come with no sides! Portion sizes are Ok, infact the burger buns are small like in Mac or Bk. May be its time of the day that we went here, but our experience was less than average!

A really good burger bar if that is the mood. The challah bread burger (the Meltdown) was different, but flavorful. Sweet potato fries was the cherry on top. The nachos were just ok- could have did without them. The place itself is not huge- so you may run into wait time depending on the time you go. Service was pleasant, and music was lit.

Bottom line is the burgers are delicious. I had the Mon Cheri with sweet potato fries and my husband had the ghostface killa with onion rings. Both were so good and the service was exceptional. I would definitely come back and try the other burgers, even the chicken sandwiches. The place is on the smaller side, but they were quick with seating us on a busy night.

First time here.. Unfortunately I did not order a burger but I did take a few bites of my husband's and it was amazing. Extremely juicy and flavorful. J did order the chicken Caesar salad which was delicious. Lots of chicken!! Nachos and Disco fries were very good also. Next time will definitely get a burger.

This burger bar left me wanting more! Looking for a solid burger spot I somehow found this place in crunch time with a minute to go in the game. AND, I was amazed by what this place offers. The super kind staff and helpful server I couldn't have asked for any more to top off the nice menu items. I like to order more than I can eat to really judge a place and not one item I ordered was bad. Solid wings, solid fries, solid pickle chips, solid lava cake, and super solid burger! BTW, I am a pickle chip fanatic and I reallyyyyy liked the way this spot made theirs. With a side or dill sauce it was a nice compliment to the Mac & Cheese burger. This picture perfect burger was flavorful in every way. Every item that made this up was a flavor burst in each bite. I am also a wing fanatic and these wings were moneyyyy! So when a place can make a great pickle chip, wing, fries and burger then you know dessert should be the finale... and what better than chocolatey, melty, gooey, warm lava cake with a cold scoop of ice cream! Come check this place out, you won't be disappointed =]

It was a very solid burger spot. It really reminded me of something from a bar, but not in a bad way. It was pretty cheap too for the burgers and would be a great happy hour spot! Service was fast and my boyfriend and I were out in about an hour. Which wasn't a bad thing considering it was like 8pm when we got there. The main room is more set up like a bar and had lots of tvs. I could see this being a good sports bars when football season starts or even baseball. Overall would come back if I needed a quick burger fix!

My husband and I were here last Saturday the night before the Jersey City half marathon. He had particular dietary requests and left. Banke burger was a good compromise between what both of us are craving. I love that you can customize burger and their veggie burger was really good and seem to be freshly made. I ordered mine with avocado, cheese and garlic aïoli. It was really tasty and I was starving so I eat at all. I also ordered a side kale and Caesar salad for four dollars. That was also delicious and I scarfed it down, but had some help from my husband. Also had a glass of rosé to wash it all down. It wasn't too crowded or too loud for Saturday night and our server was really nice. It was a short walk back to our Airbnb and is in a nice, safe location in downtown Jersey City.

However, recently I came in and this isn't normal service and I hope it changes. Maybe I met a fluke new bartender that knows nothing about pouring a proper pint. But I bought a specialty can for myself and a pint for my boyfriend. Initially, I asked if they had any red ales or ambers, brown ales and he said we have a lot of nice stouts and porters. My boyfriend is definitely not into dark beers (i wish) but any moron would know an Amber or red ale anything what I mentioned isn't pitch black and sweet as syrup. So I looked at beers on tap for him. He poured me a Czech beer and the foam head was 4 inches at least thick. I was told it's an "experience". And when my boyfriend was also considerably upset he said "it's an experience". I paid $9-11 for an experience of missing half his drink in a smaller sized pour of a normal 14-16 oz mug. He gave back the drink because he was so unhappy with it and he did nothing to remedy the situation. I get you let drinks settle but that's not how your pour a pint at least not in the USA. He asked if it could be filled the remained and he said absolutely not. lol. Ridiculous. Hoping things get better here because I love craft beer spots and they are a dime a dozen but not when they shaft you. Also please bring back the jammy peanut butter sour.

A good change if you're looking to drink there, maybe less ideal if looking to grab some to go. Regardless, would still recommend as I always find at least 2-3 specialty options I like!!

Seila was the bartender and she was just so nice and friendly. Since I was the only customer, we talked for the entire time. The bar is tiny, with a tiny bathroom but the vibes are great. There's dim lighting and the light fixtures are so pretty. It looks like alot of decor are from antique shops. I had the Cameron Obscura cocktail as recommended by Seila. It was fizzy and sweet. I also had this amazing plum shochu that was perfectly sweet. I'm adding a photo of it to this review. I had edamame as a snack for $7. They have some other light snacks here like chips and popcorn too. I really loved this bar and it is similar to their other bar Yakuni. The owner is really good at creating cozy and high quality bars. Would certainly come back. A hidden gem on a sleepy East Village street.

You just couldn't ignore a place with this kind of name. Door (and window) was shut, so upon walking in, it was dimly lit and a little too warm but it cooled off some once we settled in. Seating by the window was taken by a couple, but the bar had some empty seating. It took a moment for the lone bartender to greet us, then she went back to talking to a guy in the middle of the bar. When I was finally able to get her attention again, I went with the Carlifree, which is hibiscus tea, mint, yuzu juice, and club soda. I don't think I ever had anything yuzu-based before in my life, but it works here. The hibiscus visually dominates in a pretty shade of red, while the mint is the alternative refresher. I probably drank this a little too quickly, but I enjoyed what I had. Restroom in the very back is similar to being on an airplane. Even I felt it was a tight fit, and I'm small. Service could have been a little more attentive, especially for one person behind the bar, but she was friendly when you had her attention. Drink selection seemed decent by the crowds they seem to get, and I'm glad they offer zero-proof options. Unique find here that I'm happy I was able to try.
