They broke a stud mounting my tiers, after already charging me $289 the told me it wild be an additional $80 to replace the stud they broke, claiming it wasn't their fault, they said it was who ever messed with the tier before is responsible so they didn't feel they needed to fix it, so we take the car to our garage and try to replace the stud, they messed up the lug nuts so bad 2 more broke... so by Marty's tiers standards it was their fault the other 2 studs broke... and for a little extra...the pressure in my tiers ranged from 30psi to 41psi so they didn't even check that. Just know they will try to get you if they can. OK, I agree. It had to be done, but you did not have to charge me the $80. You broke it. You fix it. And the tier pressure was way way too high in 2 tiers, you know what you did. read more

At their Nitro garage - Although I requested synthetic oil for the oil change they used regular oil. In addition, what usually takes approximately 1 hour to complete, they took nearly 1/2 of the day. read more

I was traveling through Nitro and got 2 flat tires from a late night accident on I-64. I had it towed to Marty's that night and they took my car in first thing in the morning. Took my car to get new tires and they had good prices... after I got my car back I noticed very 2 blain scratches around my wheels. One is fresh. The other I had a small dent & they just went ahead & chipped the paint off of it. Unnoticed we took our work truck there after for an alignment. It sat there for 2 hours and they said that they couldn't get to it after they said they could, and we had to come back and get the truck before closing or they was going to keep it. My experience with Marty's was average. I was pretty happy with the service overall, but a few things keep this from reaching for another star. First, a request for a quote on some cheaper, non-name brand tires was ignored. I was, however, offered some cheaper Goodyear tires than the ones I was originally offered. I had specifically asked for Goodyear initially, but upon hearing the price, I wanted to weigh my options. Second, I was sitting next door waiting for them to finish, so I saw when they pulled my truck around, but since they were supposed to call me, I waited because who knows, maybe they were busy? After about half an hour longer (I'd already been sitting there nearly four hours), I walked over and they checked me right out. They weren't busy, they just failed to notify their customer. But all in all, I was pleased with the work they did for me. They got me same day, on Black Friday no less, and had me good to go before nightfall. I couldn't have expected much more truthfully. They were honest on the phone about cost and when they could fit me in. In a pinch, I'd go to them again. read more

Years ago I was taken for about 500 dollars by them to fix stuff to get a state inspection sticker. This was confirmed by two other shops, they overcharged and replaced things that were fine. Apparently, I lost my good sense and went to them today because I needed a sticker. My reverse lights are out and for that reason, I understand why they couldn't give me one for that but they had my car so apart knit picking it that i was extremely uncomfortable. I asked the man to show me in his state inspection book where these things needed replaced and I got attitude. I told them to just drop my car off the lift, l was done and got more attitude. Let me be clear, I have no issues following the law or getting my car repaired for safety reasons but these people are out to take your money under the "guise" that they are following the law.
