In 3 days she already did 3 art projects and has rolled over from back to belly. To say this place is amazing is an understatement! Also Tricia who is the director is so accommodating and kind, and Miss Rosie is so amazing with my daughter. All of the teachers have been amazing and loving with her! He loved their songs and knows all the movements to the "wheels on the bus." He learned to eat with a fork. They also follow a structured routine that children find comforting because they know what to expect during the day. Each child gets a lot of individualized attention - the teachers get down on the floor and play with the children. This was important to us because children learn through play: making cars move, opening boxes, stacking blocks, etc. The teachers were genuine and they were engaged in developing each child's curiosity and creativity. We recently had to move and were sad to say goodbye to this magical place, but we feel so lucky that our son got off to a great start there.

What an incredibly structured and consistent daycare. I truly do not want my grand kids to grow older so they don't leave, that's how much we absolutely love the family that runs this welcoming warmhearted and beautiful daycare. The way they tend to children and any parent concern is mind blowing. They properly feed and genuinely attend and teach children here. Kids literally cry cause they never want to leave at the end of their day. And in the morning when my daughter and I drop off the they express so much freaking happiness to see the daycare employees. It's Never over crowded or messy, They are super clean, especially now with Covid Pandemic. NEVER have I witnessed the kiddos come home with any scratches or hurt or any funny stuff. We absolutely love it there, and so does our daughter. The teachers are wonderful, evidenced by the almost zero turnover I've seen since we started. The Tadpoles app is a great way to communicate, and you know what they're eating/drinking, when they have diaper changes or use the toilet, when they nap and for how long, and receive photos and videos throughout the day. In addition to the daily Tadpoles updates, there is also the opportunity to sign up for phone calls with the teachers, email teachers directly, and there is a monthly meeting over zoom (recorded and sent with presentation deck after as well) to keep you updated on everything happening. They also make it easy to connect with fellow parents by sharing parent contact info, having designated WhatsApp threads for each classroom, and hosting social events (including adults-only events). I have also been impressed with the curriculum and amazing programs. This year, my daughter had music class, Spanish class, soccer lessons, and yoga lessons! She absolutely loves doing her yoga moves at home and telling me the Spanish words she knows! What I find most helpful though is the guidance and support on when and how to hit certain milestones, including support on starting solid foods, when to switch from bottle to sippy cup, when to switch from sippy cup to open cup, etc. Right now, my daughter is in the beginning stages of potty training, and her excitement for the process started because of the encouragement happening at school. He was introduced to a wide variety of subjects like - art, music, soccer, chess, crafts, phonetics, reading, writing, technology, yoga, exercise, dance, social study... They have an excellent schedule for summer and equally engaging curriculum for winters. My son comes back home talking about concepts he has learnt in school and looks happy on most days. He has always been ahead of the curve in doing things by himself, reading, writing... He also got through the G&T exams based on what he learnt at Sunshine. The principal, teachers and staff are professional, kind and really hard working - they teach kids to be independent, self reliant and confident. The center itself is very clean, hygienic and feels brand new (for the last 4 years). My only complaint was quick transitions from one class to another which brought in instability when my son was young. But it settled down when he turned 3. There was a high turnover rate in the initial few months but we have been seeing same teachers for the last 2 years and that makes us and our son very happy. WE HAVE BEEN VERY HAPPY WITH SUNSHINE AND EXTREMELY SAD TO MOVE ON.

Our one-year-old has been enrolled since late-2020 and in just a short amount of time, we've seen so much growth that we directly attribute to her days at KA! From increased language and physical skills to the importance they place on teaching patience, sharing, and independence, our little one is thriving. Paige, Cristal, and now Anissa make such a meaningful effort to reinforce values that will help our kiddo develop, both emotionally and mentally. They've also helped us with several big growth milestones and transitions. The teamwork and communication is really helpful. Beyond the educational benefits, KA is unfussy and grounded -- sometimes a rare find in lower Manhattan. Everyone we've met is empathetic and supportive without coddling; there is structure without rigidity. We were immediately attracted to their leveled, non-reactive approach to big emotions. There are also toys, dolls, and books that represent everyone! And, probably most importantly for a bunch of babies and toddlers, they make the days FUN. You are also kept up to date on any plans, policies, changes etc. The place is clean (back when you could go inside it), they keep individual items well segregated as well. They have an awesome gym room for the kids to play around in. During my kid's time here he learned to talk, learned his abcs, numbers, saying sentences, was potty trained, and well socialized with lots of other kids. Our profile. We are a working couple so needed something that is flexible, well located, and low drama where we could get excellent care. Kiddie @ Tribeca fit those needs well. When we raised this concern and suggested that she either get another staff member or perhaps keep the kids in a more confined area so they can be watched closer, she decided to expel our son. Good place for early learning and development, not so good for close observation and safety of the children. I guess you get what you pay for!!
