Melt n Dip is a hard five stars. We were walking around on a Friday night and wanted a sweet treat. We spotted the Melt n Dip. My wife and I split a crème puff dessert. My youngest son had a huge hot fudge sundae (I was envious) and my oldest son had two scoops of gelato in a cone. The workers are extremely friendly. The ingredients are top notch. As it always goes, my wife and I had some sweet-tooth cravings late in a Friday evening and we tried to search for dessert spots that were open. We ended finding Melt n Dip on Yelp, and I'm glad we did. The location is in the heart of downtown, with an interior that is nice and cozy. My wife and I ended up ordering the waffle, which came with white and milk chocolate, along with a Belgian waffle and a variety of fruits. The fruits themselves were very fresh and the chocolate was amazing! The waffle melted in your mouth. The combination was just heavenly. The seating inside could be a little better; it was a little tightly squeezed together but we didn't mind. Overall the service was pretty good. It did take a little while to get our order, but I am happy we went here. We will be visiting again soon! read more

The menu is amazing and almost too many options. Staff was plentiful and friendly especially for a Sunday night in the financial district. You can taste any of the options and you should because they are all so unique!! Delicious and would absolutely go back to try something else ! Would have gotten a 5-star but they were or had some kind of Febreeze cleaning product that was so incongruent and masked the amazing waffle cone smell you'd expect. read more

Been looking for the Dubai chocolate EVERYWHERE. We were walking down the street and I happen to notice the sign on the window that said they have the Dubai chocolate, I instantly came inside. After seeing it all over TikTok I imagined in my head what it would taste like because everyone was hyping it up. I sent my partner to get me a birthday dessert one night during my birthday trip to Toronto, and he grabbed me something from Melt n Dip. I'm not sure what the item is on the menu, but it was a cup with white cake and I believe caramel gelato. It was literally the best thing I have ever tasted dessert-wise, and I am so sad that there are no locations near me back home. He got the cookies as well, but had serious fomo when he tried mine! Such a delicious treat and if I ever manage to travel close to one of the other locations, I guarantee I'll be grabbing something. Went here to satisfy my midnight dessert craving and I was very impressed! The crepe with melted Belgian chocolate was out of this world and I have to say I'll be back again just to try this out! Also tried their fudge cake that was more of a sundae with whipped cream and nuts but I wasn't as happy with it as I was with the crepe. read more

Was walking through Toronto downtown and found this hidden gem . I wish their name board outside was bigger and easy to read . I didn't notice it was an ice cream shop till I came really close . I actually thought it was a local general store . Ice creams were great . Loved the banana split and strawberry ice creams . Kids liked their scoops of ice creams too. A small upstairs dessert spot on Adelaide. There are about 10 tables inside, and can fill up pretty quickly. We came here on Saturday night around 11:30 since it was one of the only dessert spots that opened until late. I got the pistachio croffle which I thought was delicious - heavy drizzle of chocolate and sauce over a crispy croffle with a dollop of whipped cream on the side. They have a lot of gelato and other dessert items. Would definitely come back here if I have a sweet tooth craving. read more

Melt n dip definitely does something to fill that void of late night dessert spots in Toronto, and it fills it well! Located in the heart of downtown, melt n dip is famous for their three huge chocolate fountains that you'll find served on all of their desserts. Whilst quite a small seating area ( gets busy very fast!) , it's cosy and warm and everything you'd want from a dessert spot. I went for the melt n dip waffle : a fairly large waffle served with banana, kiwi, strawberry and Pineapple and absolutely smothered in all the types of chocolate. Being a self acclaimed connoisseur of chocolate (I'm from the UK so surely that immediately qualifies me?), melt n dip definitely delivers with their absolutely lush Belgian chocolate. Everything tasted divine, and it quickly made up for the fact that the staff did forget about our order and take about 40mins to make it. As I said, very busy. The serving on paper plates ruins the charm of a nice dessert, but the quality of the dessert is truly yummy. Will be coming here again! read more

I really went all-out with my order (at a friend's suggestion), going for the Lotus waffle (though with a different ice cream because the Lotus was out). I was very happy with the texture and flavour of the waffle. Naturally, less extravagant/filling options are available as well! Presentation-wise, I appreciated the flourish, though the paper plates *really* detract and makes the whole atmosphere feel cheap. Unfortunately can't leave a review for the food because I never made it that far. Service here is awful , I arrived and stood at the ordering area waiting to at least be greeted . The only worker I saw was 5 feet away cutting fruit but couldn't be bothered to help. After 5 minutes of waiting for a simple I'll be with you in a second , I decided to leave. Don't get me wrong, the desserts are good, but I can't really say the same about the service. The employees are so eager to go home at the end of the night that they are rushing to get you out of there, and there's no attention to detail. And don't be fooled by the midnight closing time - if you get there past 11:30 PM, they won't make you anything. If you're lucky, they'll let you grab a ready-made slice of cake or some ice cream, but no crepes, waffles or milkshakes. You also aren't allowed to sit down and eat what you've ordered past 11:30 either, you've got to take it to go. Not that there's a lot of room to sit down anyway, the place is pretty small and usually busy. Anyway, I don't know about you, but if I see that a place closes at midnight, I'm expecting them to be open and serving until midnight but the employees want to be out of there by then, which doesn't make sense to me. You should just change your closing time to 11:30 then. I've gone twice for a late night sweet craving and gotten the same treatment both times, so I don't think I'll be going back for a third time. Not really worth it - there are better places. read more
