Except "maybe next time wash it by hand". It's dry clean only which is why I brought it there. So, lesson painfully learned. I was very specific about the details--monogram placement, font, and even requested that my name be done in all lowercase. Unfortunately, every item was done incorrectly. The monogram on the scarf was placed upside down (so when worn, it read incorrectly), and both the sweatshirt and pajamas were embroidered in the wrong font and not in lowercase as requested. When I brought this to their attention, I was told the original items could not be corrected and would need to be replaced and re-embroidered. To their credit, they agreed to repurchase the items. However, when I returned to pick them up, none of the items had been embroidered at all--and the pajamas provided were not even the correct pair. At that point, I requested a refund for the embroidery services I never received. I was told the employee present was unable to process a refund. I had to insist on getting something in writing stating that I would be refunded, but I have little confidence this will actually happen. I have not received a phone call, email, or any other communication to try to rectify the issue or send a refund. I've since filed a dispute with my bank. Between the repeated errors, lack of attention to detail, and inability to resolve the issue properly, this was an incredibly frustrating experience--especially given that these items were meant for a special occasion. I would not recommend this business based on my experience. The level of inaccuracy and lack of follow-through here is simply unacceptable.

I go every two to three weeks, do over nine loads that I can wash, dry and fold in less than 1 1/2 hours for less than $25.00 in a relaxing environment. Why would anyone want to spend their entire day doing laundry at home, running up their electric, gas and water bills when you can go to Delken Laundrymat and have the chore done in less than 2 hours?

I explained the situation - the comforter was still wet and badly stained, including stains from a previous lifetime - and requested that it be dry cleaned and the duvet be laundered and pressed. The cost came to just under $100. When I picked up the items yesterday I was thrilled beyond words. The comforter was folded and packed into the same type of carrying bag it came in years ago (great for summer storage) and the duvet was pressed and hanging over a heavy-duty hanger. Not a hint of the stains anywhere, both exactly as fresh-looking as new. I just finished the 20-minute ordeal of replacing the comforter into the duvet - well worth the effort and out-of-pocket to have everything beautiful as new. Thank you, Dependable. I don't know who I was texting with in the end. They quoted me $100. The two workers arrived right on time, were very polite, and did a beautiful job! However, they spoke no English and used a phone app to communicate. (You speak into the phone, they read the Portuguese that's generated, then they speak into the phone and it spits out English. Who knows how accurate it is.) I lived in a foreign country for 6 years and while I wasn't fluent, I had basic proficiency in the language... admittedly I worked in an industry where people spoke English, but for day-to-day things I was glad I could read and handle basic conversations. (This was pre-smart phone.) I'd love to hire Rose's Cleaning for their organizing service, but can't imagine how you'd do that with someone you couldn't talk to. They get good reviews for that, so maybe I'll try it. I'm skeptical but interested. If all you need is cleaning it probably doesn't matter that you can't communicate without a phone translator. Their work was beautiful and they were punctual and polite. All of that is great. I'm glad they could fit us in!
