Agency refused to release a Disney Cruise placeholder they had done no work on, which would result in us losing a 10% discount. Disney confirmed that the agency must initiate the release, but the agency has refused to do so and has not provided any documentation or flexibility to support their decision. In addition, regarding our current Celebrity cruise booking, had I not personally reached out to Adam, the available discounts would have been missed entirely. Because I followed up, we were ultimately able to receive a 30% refund and an onboard credit. I've also had to follow up on several other important items that, with our previous travel agencies, would have been proactively managed without needing reminders. It's clear that MMT's level of service does not align with the proactive, client-centered support we've come to expect. The owner has refused to release the placeholder even though it's not a booking. They have done no work so it's not like they will lose anything. Kari Dillon's suggestion is to cancel it which means we lose our discount. Do hint homework if yon choose to engage with this business. read more

We found our perfect travel agent! Apparently there are several agents so this review is solely referring to Becky Brown. I have never used a travel agent before so I'm unsure what other's expectations are. I had a date and location in mind and I needed a great rate with advice from someone who's been there. Becky helped guide me on how many days I should spend at Universal FL and at each park at Disney World. She provided me options that met my needs including: early access to the park, park hopper tickets, close proximity to the park, dining and reservations, Genie+, resort offerings, and transportation to/from airport and transfer to my next hotel. I was able to save additional 5% by using Target Gift cards. Switching credit card payment methods was easy and using a secure website to input my information put me at ease. Communication over email was prompt and if I needed to speak with Becky over the phone, appointments were easily obtainable. I received responses from Becky checking email late and night and early morning and she was always pleasant; to me, this meant she enjoyed her job and was hard working. Twice she stayed on the phone for hours with Disney which was excruciating long during the government lock downs. Our trip went as planned. We were picked up at the designated time, received the suite we expected, visited each theme park we asked for, and had multiple dining reservations ready for us. Everything went smoothly thanks to Becky. I will recommend her to anyone who needs to go to Universal FL, Disney World, Disneyland, or Cruises. read more

Once you join the page you are welcomed with a message about how they can save you money if you book your vacation with them and also this message in the Welcome To The Group Post -(" Have you already booked your Universal Vacation? No worries! We would be thrilled to take a your package and see if we can save you money. We are experts in finding our clients the best deal available. If we cannot save you money we would still love to offer you a gift card just for letting us help you with your Universal Orlando Vacation! ") So we reached out to inquire as to what other add-ons we could get and any tips and tricks for our stay upcoming to Orlando that we had already booked and paid for our trip I was contacted by Jennifer Travis through instant messenger who seemed very nice and I can explain that we were coming to universal for the opening of epic universe and we'd already booked and paid for our trip and was just wondering if there's anything else I could help us with because all we have is the hotel and the park tickets so she offered to have an agent reach out to me through email and I agreed after back-and-forth with the agent, She was not listening to my questions. All she wanted me to do was provider with a copy of our pay trip so they could transfer it to their agency which I told her several times I was uncomfortable with that and we were looking more for add-ons or other experiences. We could add to our trip since we had not been there for 20 years and then she stopped responding. So I sent another email after three went unanswered, providing her with the details of our trip that included what hotel we were staying at the dates of travel and what Park passes we had received with our package. She responded that there were currently no discounts during our travel time available unless we wanted to stay off property. I responded no because we got a benefit of early park entry by staying on property so then I asked how we were to go about getting the free gift card for letting them try. That request went unanswered so I've then went to the Facebook page where they had posted the welcome message that prompted me to contact them, and I asked the question there after that. I received another email promptly from the agent apologizing for any misunderstanding that only their clients get the gift cards if you book through them only and she gave me a $10 Starbucks gift card for my troubles. I responded that wasn't necessary. Wasn't looking for something for free. A simple honest explanation would've been just fine and I also let her know that after I posted the same question on the Facebook page not more than one minute later, I was removed and blocked from that page which made my feelings of concern. Be a bit more justified because why would they remove my comment and block me from the page so that Nobody could see that you in fact have to provide your information to them if you've already booked, which does seem a bit shady. I am providing screenshots below for confirmation of all of this, so I would be very wary of this company, especially providing them with your current information if you already have a booking. Update: they have since contacted me again trying to explain away my negative experience that they work off commision and say its not a shady prcatice. Believe me i do understand that of their commission, they ignored my request about any other services they might be able to help me with, However the Part that disturbed me the MOST is they DID NOT have to Remove and Block Me from the Tips and Tricks Group page just for simply asking the question since i was not getting a response from the agent through email, I only received a response through email AFTER I was removed and Blocked... So that is the reason i referred to it as "SHADY" becasue if they had simply answered me through email i would not have had to ost the question on the Facebook Page which would have also clarified it for anyone else, ALSO when you remove and block someone just for asking a question then it does look like your trying to hide something. read more

Our agent was very nice and responsive, but did not pay attention to detail. Our names/birthdates had to be corrected for air line reservations which included a lap child whose name did not appear anywhere in the itinerary. After numerous questions, I was reassured that it was normal and would not cost us any extra time at the airport. This was not the case and we spent way too much time at the counter for both departure and return getting the child added to the flight. Add to this, the fact that we travelled to Mexico for a family wedding at a resort and upon our arrival we received the news that NO children were allowed at the wedding which was set at the neighboring adult only Secrets Resort. We used the travel agent because she (Jodie) was arranging the entire event for our granddaughters wedding. How can she book a wedding at an adult only venue and book travel for these wedding guests with children at the same time? Needless to say there were many tears and unnecessary emotions due to this error. On our return I received an email to review the trip from Marvelous Mouse, which I did, honestly but kindly. I'm going to respond to Kari's message. In no way am I criticizing Jennifer only operating on business hours nor the way she runs her fb page to not allow other travel agents to promote their line of business. My main complaint in terms of communication is lack of flexibility. She can only do emails. No phones for instance, even during business hours. She won't take anyone if they're even entertaining talking to other agents (I.e., when I told her I was talking to another agent but haven't committed and asked her what she had to offer that's better. For instance other agent offers on board credit and offers same level of service. She can't even sell herself to some degree). She just simply said based on the fact I booked through Costco before and was shopping around for travel agents, "I wish you best of luck but I'm going to step away out of professional courtesy." It's like going to a service person and asking what they can offer vs another service person and just getting the "talk to the hand" attitude instead of a willingness to discuss and help. Also she bans anyone on her fb page even if it's as simple as emailing her like my email below which is just expressing disappointment. As for miscommunication, I have already reached out to her over email (since that's only way since I'm blocked even from her fb business page) and even called Marvelous Mouse to speak to a director and voiced my concern to want to clear up any miscommunication inviting her to talk with me. So far, she has not reached out to even want to talk. I've been told she is an independent contractor and works for no one but herself so she can do as she wants. This isn't the type of agent worth working with in my opinion and you shouldn't either fellow reader. read more

I received zero help from our travel agent. We booked the Disney east bound transatlantic cruise. We were assigned an agent that specialized in European travel, as our cruise ended in Barcelona. But all she did for us was book the cruise. Every question I asked, I either was given incorrect information (such as her saying there was no where on the ship for us to store our wheelchair and have access to it, which I disproved by calling DCL as that sounded discriminatory), or she just didn't help at all (such as when I asked about a recommendation for what to do with our luggage while we wandered Barcelona, she offered no suggestions). We got no perks, and come to find out a lot of travel agents offer onboard credit and send gifts to your room. We didn't get anything, and also got no help from having a travel agent, so I will never book with them again, and I do not recommend anyone else to book with them. read more

I just completed my third Disney World trip with Becky Brown and she has been absolutely fabulous each trip. Our first trip with her was our honeymoon and she worked hard to make sure we had a special trip and has made each trip since just as awesome. She has successfully gotten just about every dining reservation we have asked for. She is extremely prompt in her email responses and happily answers any questions and will make any changes requested for trips. She keeps us updated on package deals that comes up and will apply said deals to our trips. She makes herself readily available for any assistance needed during trips as well. I have recommended Becky to friends and family and they both have found her services just as great as we have. I will continue to recommend her as I come across anyone who is looking for a new TA! I am also currently using Angie Petersheim for our Disneyland trip (who came recommended as a better Disneyland TA by Becky). While we have not gone on the trip yet, Angie has already been fantastic. She had our packages booked the day I reached out to her, already spent time on the phone figuring out differences between rooms and CA resident discounts for us. She also helped me decide which room to go with for the trip. I can't wait to continue working with her for this trip. Based on my experiences with Becky and Angie, I can imagine that any agent within Marvelous Mouse Travels would be just as much of a pleasure to work with! read more

Booked Moon Palace Cancun with Cierra. Our room and payment were not confirmed. Had trouble checking in and checking out. Got moved from the Grand to Sunrise (kid friendly) for our adult vacation. Cierra never responded about the change, only the "accounting error". Paid way too much to not have ALL of the amenities. If you use this agency don't get stuck with Cierra. Owner responded to review asking me to prove all of the correspondence and then never got back with me or apologized. read more

I can't speak for all of the Travel Agents at Marvelous Mouse Travels because I only used Jennifer Self as a Travel Agent. She did absolutely nothing to help me and my family with our Disney Cruise. I did everything. Only thing she did was put in our cruise date and stateroom we chose for our travels. I screenshot and sent her our selections. That is the extent of her doing anything. I booked and secured my own reservations on the ship, I stayed on top of my own deadlines such as online checkin. She never gave quick responses and traveled and stayed away from her emails more than she was accessible for any quick responses. Leading up to a few weeks before our cruise nothing except telling us to prepay gratuities. We had to rely on another travel agent that's not associated with MMT that was kind enough to help us and actually checked in us prior to our sail date and immediately after. Jennifer could care less. When I finally did hear from Jennifer Self, it was about a week after my sailing asking me to share photos in her group and leave a good review for her. Then a follow up email asking me if we did a placeholder. I expressed we did with the other travel agent that prioritized us and was more personable. I also explained why we chose not to use her in the future because she offered no real help to us, I did everything myself. Didn't see the use of having her as our travel agent. She was defensive and explained she sent multiple packets on a variety of Disney Cruiseline Information. If that's the extent of her skills being a Diamond Disney Travel Agent, no thanks. Now that we have experienced what a real Travel Agent actually does on behalf of Disney, we'll never look back. Besides, Jennifer went out of her way to ensure she'll never get our business again. Upon me emailing her directly instead of sharing publicly our dissatisfaction with her lack of assistance she proceeded to block me on Facebook and remove me from her VIP group she asks her clients to join. Not only do her reaction to constructive criticism shows she's unprofessional and lacks basic customer service skills, she's very immature as well. Steer clear of Jennifer Self. She is so knowledgeable and takes care of every little detail. We had trip booked through Melody in February of 2016. My husband ended up having a stroke at the end of January. Two stars are due to Disney, not to Marvelous Mouse Travels agent who was excellent. During the last year we have been at sea all over the world for a total of over three months. Never got sick with or without mask mandates, because the ships had hand sanitizers strategically placed, for example by elevators and stairs. Disney did not do that and either because of this or because our cabin was not properly sanitized (I suspect the latter because our steward was very lax and generally unavailable- we did not even see him for three days), we BOTH felt flu symptoms on our last day and when we got home and tested, found we were positive for Covid. Because this was after five days had elapsed, there is no question we got it on the ship. So much for their safe travel assurances. Now we have to self isolate in misery so I hope you can understand that we have to question whether the money was worth it. We will never go on DCL again. read more
