After the service, I asked for a receipt and was told it would be emailed. A day later, I still hadn't received anything, so I sent a follow-up email--no response. I had to drive all the way back just to get my receipt. When I finally got it, the receipt was vague and unprofessional. It didn't break down the cost of parts and labor--instead, everything was lumped together. They charged me $100 to replace an engine oil drain plug cap and "diagnose" the issue. I looked up the part on the dealership's website--it costs just $12. You do the math. This kind of lack of transparency and excessive pricing is unacceptable. I wouldn't trust them again. And I just realized the receipt had actually been created that same day ( the day I drove back)---meaning they didn't even prepare it after my service like they said. That's incredibly dishonest.

So I wanted to share to help someone else find a good mechanic. They will not rip you off like a lot of those other places. Services that I have had so far: oil change, car check, tire rotation, new wheel bearings and some other stuff around this done, they have fixed my tire on another occasion and most recently helped me to secure something to my car for a fraction of the price another place was trying to charge me. You can't go wrong. Not to mention their waiting room is very comfy and has large cushioned seats while you wait. They also have a fair price on gas also. I have used them for my car now for several years and couldn't be happier with them. Most recently I had a friend visiting and her car literally died on the turnpike. Had it towed to Sabo's. They did their eval which, unfortunately for my friend, was 4 pages long. Basically, the car was 23 years old and needed to be scrapped as it could not be repaired due to no longer available parts anywhere. While charging a modest fee for the eval, Sabo also stored the car for 2 weeks and called around to see what my friend could get for scrap. No charge for the storage and facilitation.
