This review is for Samuel Huang who stopped responding to emails/messages after requesting a review of my taxes. Upon filing taxes, I had requested an amendment and he ignored my emails. I later received an IRS letter stating that I owed more than what Samuel had written on my tax form. Every year I usually file my taxes using TurboTax, but this year I decided to go to a tax preparer instead. I saw Sam and had a great experience. He was very patient and took the time to explain everything clearly to make sure I understood. He was extremely helpful throughout the process and made it much less stressful. We were referred to a new tax person to file our taxes jointly as newlyweds. Mary's office is in a shared building and faces the back of the road. You can park on the street or there is a lot that is directly underneath her office. She's on the 2nd floor. When we walked in, we were hesitant on the appearance of the office. It was older and when we were acknowledged Mary's helper mentioned that our appointment was mixed up and we had a later time than we initially came in with. The lady went to talk to Mary and noted the miscommunication. Mary approved for us to come in and start our taxes. It was the first year that my husband and I filed jointly as a married couple. We have properties, write-offs, and business expenses that we needed an expert to look at to be sure we were on track with our finances and everything was legit. One thing I didn't know is that Mary has a dry sense of humor. I didn't realize it at first and just thought she was a smart ass, but as we got comfortable with each other, she was super nice and very helpful. She made recommendations based on our dual income, and did our taxes within 30 mins. Very painless. We filed electronically and we ended up getting our refund shortly after our visit. Don't bother making an appointment. You'll pretty much just be making an appointmemt to wait. I went in with an appointment, yet people without appointments were taken before me.
