Things stated off well, Veronica had an introductory phone call with us that went well and she offered some good suggestions. However after that the communication totally broke down and she pretty much ghosted us when we had questions about our tax return. As someone using a CPA for the first time, I found myself wondering why am I paying when I feel like I am trying to figure this out alone (basically felt abandoned). We asked some basic questions back in March, she responded once, and that was it. She then emailed my husband that she's been on a trip to Japan. Going out of country right during tax season as a CPA is a choice and that's fine, just COMMUNICATE WITH US. Anyways on Sunday, 3 days before taxes were due, we still had no reply so we just relented and submitted what she had prepared. Anyways, just disappointed. Not going to her next year.
