I am totally in love with their Macarons. You can buy a piece for only 28 pesos. It has a crunchy exterior, but the filling is light, soft, and chewy. They have five different flavors, which are chocolate, vanilla, mango, strawberry, and even green tea (I have yet to taste a green-tea flavored macaron). They also sell my favorite soda, which is Lotte Chilsung Cider. It is a carbonated lemon-lime soft drink that tastes just like Sprite, but so much better. I can't explain its taste; you just have to try it for yourself. Whenever I need to buy cakes for a special occasion, this is also one of my go-to places. You should definitely check this out!

Though I don't think that's a bad thing. I actually like it. I also like that their macarons are vibrantly colored and I can really taste the flavors. Aside from the usual chocolate, strawberry, and vanilla, they have green tea and mango-flavored macarons at less than PhP30. They also have premium flavors like cherry, blueberry, maple, and even grape that are just about 30% more expensive, but still relatively cheap given the taste and fine flavors. My favorite flavors though would be the basic strawberry or chocolate. My Dad on the other hand likes the soboro the most. The soboro is bread with a crunchy coating that tastes lightly of peanut butter. Being the peanut butter lover, my Dad would have two of it as snack or even have it as dessert before he has his cup of coffee.

Their icing tastes like heaven, like literally tastes like clouds. It mixes well with their chiffon cake, and the inner filling through the layers. They also come with adorable accessories such as ribbons on top and also two lang candles to use or to keep. I've been hearing about Conti's a long time and I've already seen many a friend, workmate, and…read moreorgmate carrying a box of Conti's goodies, but it took me some time to really try it. Maybe because I had regular places for desserts or a quick pastry in ATC. And the Conti's branch here was nice, though not as cozy and inviting for me as Cafe Mary Grace, for example. But one time, I wanted to try something new and I found myself in Conti's with a friend. We just had dinner and I was craving for cake. The waitress at Conti's immediately recommended Mango Bravo, which was apparently their bestseller. It's this white tower topped with mango and with chocolate sauce running down the sides. The cake is light and sweet. Another time a friend bought me chocolate mousse, and it was nice and sweet, but I found the taste too rich (a bit nakaka-umay) after a few bites. The Mango Bravo was more addicting. But Conti's is not just known for sweets but also full meals, and many I know swear by their lengua. I'm happy right now with just the sweets, though.

I stumbled upon this place when I was near broke and found myself only capable of buying a piece of ensaymada from their stall. I did not regret that purchase. Their ensaymada is so soft that if my teeth were conscious they would've fallen asleep from the softness. It's just a normal ensaymada done really well. It's soft and has a tremendous amount of flavor. Try it for yourself so you get what I mean.

Of course there are a lot of bakeries selling awesome cakes, but Cara Mia's is something else. I suggest you try their Sea Salted Caramel Crunch, it's made of light chiffon, mocha and some caramel crunch on top. It only costs Php 95 for a slice, and a whole cake costs Php 695. Not bad eh?

There are plenty of places out there to get cake, but few are as great in terms of value as Banapple Pies and Cheescakes. I got introduced to this by my sisters who are so sweet. They come home sometimes carrying desert with them. That one time they came home they had this simple looking chocolate cake. I ended up eating a slice more than I should. They told me that the cake was from Banapple and that you could only get it from the North. I am so happy that they decided to open a Banapple Pies and Cheescakes here in the south, at Alabang Town Center no less. What I love about Bread Talk aside from the delicious array of bread and pastries, is how the customers order. I have always been curious on movies about American cafeteria's and so I have been wanting to know how it felt like to walk down a line to get and pick your food. This boutique bakery doesn't have the exact process as no one places your choices on your tray but you do it yourself. I sometimes find it funny when it's crowded and some people "fight" over the last pizza bread or cream cheese tart. It's also fun to see how the bakers make the bread as the wall is glass and you can look into the baking area. If you haven't tried their bread and you happen to pass by, try the pizza baguette, cures of golden flower and a personal favorite of my family, the floss. I'm drooling just thinking about it, haha.

Their beef salpicao covered in garlic is really good. The beef is nicely cooked and the oil is just right. They are proud of their truffle pasta, whose aroma alone is enough to make you turn your head and take notice. What I don't like about Sweet Bella is that their furniture is kind of dated. I know that furniture is expensive and you can't replace it on a whim, but all it takes is one quick look to see that the chairs and tables are old, with some even peeling. A little diligence regarding this would be better in my book.

Loved the interiors of the place and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Happy to know that they offer soy milk too! I got a soy milk latte that was prepared well and they didn't rush preparing the coffee. Coffee itself was roasted well and not too acidic. Will go back again when I'm in town.
