She even offered to travel to Napa ahead of time to view the venue, and this familiarity really helped so that she was able to capture the architecture and feel of the location. On the morning of, she was there early and ready at the perfect spot. After the surprise of the proposal, she spent about an hour taking our photos around the winery and inside the tasting room with suggested poses and pre-determined locations. She was extremely efficient, and we felt that we had plenty of time for everything. She sent a handful of photos less than an hour after we were done, which we were able to share with friends and family. After a few weeks, she sent the full portfolio (over 500 photos) and everyone agrees that they were beautiful. She captured the proposal so incredibly, was extremely easy to communicate with, and highly professional. I would highly recommend her work to anyone needing a wedding or engagement photographer.

From the get go she took on this challenge like a champ. I only had a little bit of time before my wedding and had yet to find someone who I felt shared my vision. After a friend recommended Dawn, I looked at her blog and immediately knew I had to have her. I felt instantly comfortable around Dawn she is super sweet and full of energy (something I was lacking at times.) We got the package deal for unlimited coverage of the wedding which included an engagement shoot and bridals/groomals. She brought a second shooter along for the bridals and the wedding for maximum coverage which was really awesome since I know how hard it is to be in two places at once. She took hundreds of photos and then edited them down to a large gallery of shots to choose from. Choosing was the hardest part because there were SO many amazing photos and all were high-quality with attention to light and details. When we made our selections, Dawn did final edits and was responsive to our thoughts and requests. She worked efficiently and was great about communicating. We have friends that went with much cheaper options for their photos but we are very happy with our choice. I brought four outfits from home, but ended up borrowing from the studio one amazing piece. Along with shoes and jewelry this studio was stocked. Christina the owner and photographer was so talented. I never felt rushed. She did not seem like she was in a hurry. She made sure I was positioned to be the most flattering and would help me adjust things as needed. Once my session was over, she explained to me the process for getting my album. She gave me options for the cover and let me choose the photos I wanted in the album. Along with that came a flash drive with all of my photos taken on the day. Within two weeks my album arrived at my door and it is beautiful. I would recommend this studio to anyone who might be afraid to do a session like this. I was never uncomfortable and I'm not normally photogenic. This was a great experience!
