The "predator" review is spot on. I took a chance on this doctor in desperation to address extreme anxiety. I knew it was an "off-the-board" kind of treatment, but decided to give it a try. My exasperation with the "official" medical establishment is one factor that led me here. TL;DR: turns out it's basically homeopathy, meaning lame, unconvincing sleight (and I mean VERY sleight) of hand combined with meaningless psychobabble. Along with two assistants, she went through a procedure that is supposed to find all the bad stuff your body has problems with: She has you hold your arm up and resist her pushing on it, while putting pressure on some part of the body or resting a bottle of some substance on your stomach. When something is "good," you "successfully" resist her pushing. When it's "bad", she waggles your arm back and forth too quickly for you to adjust and push back and says "that organ is weak." It's kind of like you're a human Ouija board, LOL. She kept asking if I understood if I "got it" how one thing was strong and one was weak based on this, and I said, "uh, not really, it just seems like you're changing how periodically you push and pull." She testily said "NO. If you don't get this, we can't continue." (and of course the payment has already cleared the bank) After a few minutes of this, I'm thinking "This is nonsense." I figured I would be polite and wait til they were done and then just never come back. I occasionally asked clarifying questions, and she seemed to think her answers had some kind of logic to them, but nothing she said made any sense. At over an hour in, it was getting difficult to not roll my eyes. She went through the same routine with the bottles of vitamins I brought with me. Presses bottle to my chest, waggles my arm. "Bad." Another bottle. Waggle. "Bad bad." She read the ingredients of my Vitamin C & Zinc bottle, telling me how bad it is, and then suggested I "give this to someone you hate." :o That's what you call "professional." Then she pulled out some "gene chart" that any layperson isn't going to know up from down, throws out some impressive terminology, and said we need to test my genes. It will take from 15m to an hour. "ANOTHER HOUR?" I said. "Well, only if your genes have problems." I am not a rude person, and do not like confrontation, but at that point I abruptly sat up and said "I need to go." I got up and went to put my shoes on and collect my belongings from the table near the door. "But, we're not--" I told her this was absolute BULLSHIT and walked out. The three of them stood there with mouths agape as if this has NEVER happened before. This is "health care" for the hard of thinking. It is not often I feel compelled to write a review, however, Dr Medwar and her team deserve this! First off, I am a registered nurse and believe in western medicine because that is what I was taught. I thought eastern medicine was mmmm a hoax! My daughter and son in law gave my husband and I the gift of life when they gave us gift cards for the initial 3 visits for evaluation. I decided to go in with an open mind. Not going to lie, my husband and I were a bit skeptical during the evaluation phase but decided to follow through because it was already paid for and we felt we had nothing to lose. We are both overweight and in an unhealthy state at present. My husband's diabetes was out of control. In just four short weeks we have both lost 15-20#'s! My husband's diabetes blood sugar has gone from 250-350 on massive doses of insulin down to 80-130 on less than 1/3 of the insulin he was taking! I use to nap on my days off just to get through the day. I am now sleeping less overnight and no longer taking naps! My energy level is that of a younger woman. I cringed a little with the price of the supplements but they do last for the initial "detox" period. So, you can either pay for prescriptions to treat bad health, or you can get in her program and pay for great health and wellness! "Doctor" Medwar is a predator. Despite the mostly good reviews, the experience I had with her was of one with a charlatan, someone who tries to scare you into complicity when you are at your most vulnerable. I came to see her about general fertility questions, a private and scary topic. She started running tests, explaining nothing about her methodology or the yielding results, other than one quickly printed out graph with no labels on the axes. Her excuse was that I was late for my appointment (I was 3 minutes late and waited in her waiting room for an additional 15 minutes until the front desk staff stopped chit chatting). I had written out my entire history in my carefully prepared paperwork, including the treatment I was receiving through my actual MD doctor. She didn't read it, so she acted shocked when I mentioned it near the end of our appointment. She abruptly stopped what she was doing and said she couldn't treat me if I was working with my regular doctor, and that if I didn't cancel the treatment with him that was starting the next day and work with her (pay for appointments and the multitude of supplements that I could only purchase directly through her), I would MISCARRY. Yes, you heard me correctly. She threatened me with a MISCARRIAGE. And added the caveat that she also couldn't guarantee anything after the 4-6 months of treatment that she was recommending I do with her. I left in tears. I'd paid for a 3-pack of sessions, so I hesitantly returned for a second round of testing. For the record, the "testing" is her having me put a finger on different vials of vitamins, foods, and minerals and then bouncing my other arm up and down to see if that thing is a "problem" area for me. The thing is, all my regular doctors can explain the purpose of everything they're doing in a very clear and understandable way. She couldn't. She knew I was unhappy after the first session, so I felt that she and her assistant were going out of their way this time to tell me how "amazing" everything was. I watched her ask her assistant about some of my test results from the first session, and then magically the test results from the second session aligned with those! What a coincidence! By the time I came for my "results" in the third session, "Doctor" Medwar had completely checked out. I don't know if she knew that she'd screwed up this relationship or if she saw that there were no dollar signs in the future for her coming from my direction. She was short, dismissive, and despite the fact that we had plenty of time left in the appointment, she abruptly cut me off when I had a brief, unrelated question and told me I could book another appointment if I had more questions. The experience was one of the worst in my life. I think that "Doctor" Medwar builds her business on scaring uneducated patients into compliance and spending lots of dollars. She shuts down in the face of patients who have legitimate questions about her witch doctor methods - because she has no answers. For the record, I got pregnant happily and safely a few months later without her or anybody else's help. Glad I didn't delay this joy and fill my body with her nameless pills. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Medwar for the past 10 years and in my opinion, she is an excellent holistic doctor. I originally saw her for chiropractic treatments. Physical therapy and exercises were only making my back issues worse. After a thorough exam, which included x-rays, I learned that I have moderate/severe scoliosis which affects my back and hip alignment, gait, and overall health. Although my scoliosis cannot be reversed, ongoing chiropractic treatments and targeted exercises help me to keep my hip/spine as aligned as possible. I've been seeing Dr. Mary Medwar since late 2010. I was discouraged that physical therapy and exercises were not helping my sciatica and sacroiliac issues, so I asked my friend about Dr. Mary Medwar. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Medwar. I started seeing her for Nutritional Response Testing (NRT) in the summer of 2018. I had been very sick for a few years at that point and had literally traveled the world to get better. Prior to summer 2018, I went to Germany for cavitation surgery, Seattle, WA to work with a Klinghardt Naturopath (who had recommended I go to Germany for cavitation surgery), I had also gone to healing services in other states. I was truly at a bottom that I cannot describe, only if you had been there would you understand and I would *never* wish it on anyone. Travelling to Seattle and Germany had significant good impacts on my health and I would highly recommend anyone who is chronically ill with "mysterious" issues investigate dental issues (cavitations, decaying "composite" fillings, safe amalgam removal) as a major culprit. Note Dr. Medwar both understands, identifies and refers out for dental health issues as a major impact on well being, I just happened to "find" her after I had done half of the dental work needed. She worked with me (referred out) on final "clean up" of old composite fillings that were seriously negatively impacting my health. *** Make sure to have the proper detox support going prior to any dental work ***, so important! When I arrived at her office through what I can only describe as a miracle given to me by Jesus, I was still very sick. The work with the Klinghardt practioner had hit its "natural" end. Dr. Medwar logically brought me through testing for numerous issues from metals, bacteria, viruses, mold (I had been diagnosed with mold illness as well prior to this) to MTHFR (I had been diagnosed with MTHFR deficiencies as well prior). She discovered numerous issues include MTHFR issues, metals, fungus etc... Over the course of the next few months my health increasingly became better. Some things were overnight, such as energy returning when the right methylation supplements were in me and other things took longer. I also had to get more dental work done to get bio-compatible fillings put in where old composites had both failed and were not compatible. One year later I am in a completely different place, Dr. Medwar saved my life. Am I still recovering? Yes, but I am in a completely different place since 12 months ago. On top of this, I have 3 out of 3 of my children seeing Dr. Medwar for NRT and chiropractic. 2/3 have suffered with auto-immune disorders, anxiety, OCD etc... and we are amazed at how well they are doing in a short amount of time, particularly with the proper methylation support and dietary corrections (sensitivities to corn, soy, gluten etc...) The great thing is that each program is unique to the individual, there is no "cookie cutter" approach in the NRT methodology or how Dr. Medwar approaches healthcare. On the soft side all I can say is positive about Dr. Medwar and her staff, Sheila, Wendy and Susan, they are all extremely caring and loving. They are special people to be able to help people who are recovering from numerous illnesses. I've entrusted my health and my children's health into their hands. Is it a straight path? No, there are hills and valleys. For me it took decades to end up where I did and it takes a while to recover. For my kids it is quicker. You have to be realistic and (this was hard for me until I hit bottom), *trust*. You also have to be diligent in following her recommendations, her plans are particularly crafted week by week, month by month based on what your body tells her what it needs (drainage, detox, support etc...). You can't take a salad bar approach, "I'll have this but not that", it is a wholistic, ever changing plan, just like your body, mind and life itself. I have been a patient of Dr. Mary Medwar's since 2012. To me, she is absolutely the best chiropractor and is incredibly knowledgeable about holistic medicine. Initially as a chiropractic patient she was able to correctly identify the severity of my scoliosis via a complete set of x-rays at a time when other chiropractors and physical therapists were guessing and unable to determine or relieve my increasing pain and discomfort. The pain was bordering on debilitating. Dr. Medwar has been the person to offer targeted adjustments and exercises that have helped me to find a greater level of comfort. Although my condition cannot be reversed, periodic adjustments have offered me an improved quality of life. After several chiropractic visits I began a Nutritional Response Therapy (NRT) program which helped me to detox and improve my health from the inside out.
