I'm not a person who usually leaves reviews but i as just so so happy with Maryanne's work that I really felt like I must! I brought in a vintage engagement ring that my partner and I found while antiquing. I loved this ring but not the style of the band. I went to another jeweler to get it altered and they really didn't execute the vision I had in mind. I brought it to maryanne and she understood exactly what I wanted! She helped me decide if I wanted to alter the band or replace it and then she made the changes beautifully. Plus it was $200 cheaper than another quote I received. My sister and I spent a delightful time with Maryann, a week ago today while visiting Philadelphia. We only had eyes for her and straight to her shop we went, no distractions! She has lovely jewelry in her store...however I took my husbands rather beat up watch I had bought him as a present years ago to be cleaned and have the crystal replaced for his birthday. It originally had an anodized green face...it came back with a black face which, honestly, I hate. She never communicated to me that she needed to change it, why she needed to change it or if there were other color options available. The price was fine for the cleaning and repair. read more

Maryann made me a custom engagement and wedding ring and it is perfection! When my husband and I went looking for engagement rings, I had a vision in my mind of exactly what I wanted and the end result was so much better than I could have ever imagined. I knew I wanted an old mine or European cut diamond, and although Maryann does not carry antique diamonds, she was able to source a few for me within our price range. I was back in her shop in less than a week (she moves fast), and fell in love with one of the European cut diamonds she had. From there she created my custom band which was probably different than anything she has ever done, and her execution was flawless. I can't remember the exact timing, but I remember the whole process taking much shorter than expected. My wedding band was just as unique, with more intricate detail. I was going for an antique Victorian look and she nailed it! Not only is her work extraordinary, but she is sweet and super helpful! If I was being indecisive about something, she would help me out and I trusted her opinion because she has great taste and is really knowledgeable! I highly recommend Maryann Ritter Jewlers for all of your jewelry needs, but in particular anything custom! She will make whatever you are visioning come to life.
