Such a cute spot! If you are ever looking for a custom gift to give to someone (or for yourself!)…read morethis is the place to stop at. Handmade jewelry, candles galore & specialized small batch food items, like tea & hot sauce. Some of the items are a little over priced but over all the place seemed affordable! Walked away with a chai tea concentrate that I'm excited to try!

This was the first Brooklyn gift shop I went to when I first intentionally looked for a gift shop…read more I was already along cortelyou when I remembered this place existed. I needed some small trinkets for a friend's daughter and they delivered. I appreciate that it delves into different topics despite its small space such as food and related accessories, drink accessories (ex: corkscrews/drinking glasses), clothes and home design. Nine times out of ten I can get a gift for a friend from here that is unique. There are items there that are made by Brooklyn/nyc artists. But depending on when you visit, there are not too many things that are NYC/Brooklyn themed (there was an ash tray, a puzzle sets, magnets, & keychains when I visited off the top of my head). To my knowledge, there is not a website that shows all they have available without visiting but I would recommend looking at their Instagram to see what new things they have plus to see what events they are holding. It is relatively cramped even when you are one of two people perusing the store. Every time I visit, there are new items to look at. This of course means that some items you may have seen previously are gone. But they do have items that you are sure to see when you visit such as Breukelen Rub spices, Mike's hot honey and the street sign magnets that I love (I have multiple). If I am looking for a gift for a friend and I wanted a twist, I would come looking here. Is there a guarantee that I will find what I want? Not necessarily but I will have fun trying

Ordering process and shipping and delivery updates from Mae at Unlimited Furniture were really…read moreappreciated. She followed through from order to delivery, calling to make sure the product was handled with care, and that we were happy with everything. The only reason that I gave 4 stars is because the website listed the item as "in-stock" at the time of purchase. The reality is that it was not in-stock and took over 2 months to receive. Luckily we were willing to be patient to get the pieces we wanted. The quality of the pieces were very nice and worth the wait.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel other customers deserve to know about my experience…read more I ordered a shelving unit from this company because the price was competitive and they advertised free shipping. As an interior designer who has been purchasing furniture for clients for more than 21 years, I have ordered from countless vendors and have never experienced a return policy like this. When the shelf arrived, I realized it wasn't the correct match for a unit my client had already received. Since my client wanted a matching pair, I immediately requested a return. The item was not damaged--I simply needed to return it because it wasn't the right piece for my project. What happened next was shocking. Although the company agreed to accept the return, they deducted a 30% restocking fee ($338.10), round-trip shipping charges of $636.58, and the associated tax, for a total deduction of $1,042.91. On a purchase of roughly $1,200, I received a refund of only $162.98. Advertising "free shipping" feels very misleading when customers can later be charged hundreds of dollars in shipping costs if a return is necessary. Had I known that returning an item would cost me over $1,000, I never would have placed the order. Every company has the right to establish its own return policy, but I believe customers should be made aware of the true financial risk before purchasing. In my opinion, this policy is unreasonable and far outside what I've encountered in over two decades of buying furniture professionally. Unfortunately, because of this experience, I will not purchase from this company again. I encourage anyone considering ordering from them to read the return policy very carefully and understand exactly what it could cost if your item doesn't work out.

Actually if Jesus returned and said, "Hey maybe no full time carpenter this time around, maybe I'll take it easy and just frame art" - then that's who'd Dennis would be bc that's the qualitative level of his work. And what's better is he prices his work like CRAZY EDDIE - his prices are just INSANE - it's almost like getting it done for FREE! I had 5 copies of an 8x10 that I wanted to frame and give as gifts. I live in Red Hook so I went to the closest - "Make a Frame" over on Atlantic Avenue in Cobble hill - who priced me at $174.00 for just one - and no discount on five!!! At those prices maybe they do have Jesus framing, but some how I doubt it. So searched Yelp again and found Brooklyn Art who priced me at $20.00 each!!!! INSANE! Why would I pay $154.00 more - on each one! - over at M.A.F.? I doubt there would've been that much of a qualitative difference noticeable to the eye. Just take a look at the pic I've attached - a beautiful job! I got all 5 done for $100. Great quality and turn around was just as insane. Dennis had done in just a few days. I'm sure Van Gogh would give his left ear, if he still had it, to have his works framed at Brooklyn Art - and you should too, but Dennis only takes cash & credit cards so the good news is you can walk out with both your ears, however if you go to that place on Atlantic avenue it could cost you and arm and leg - HEY OH!
