Finding Mary was a blessing. I had moved from Henderson and no longer had a dog sitter that would now come to Rhodes Ranch. I got referrals from my prior dog sitter, searched yelp, Facebook and nv pet websites for dog sitters in my area. They either lived to far for my comfort or charged way too much money for what I needed. Mary came to my home for the initial visit. I knew right away she was the one. She is super sweet with the dogs. I showed her around, we went over her rates and she provided some paperwork for the dogs needs and wants. She lives in mountains edge area so she does not charge mileage rates if you live near there and rhodes ranch is included.. Yippee! We went to our out of town trip and she provided photos each day. Fun stuff too! She took the dogs on walks and made sure they were fed and taken care of. She even caught my lab jumping in the pool to cool off after a walk. It was hilarious! When we got home our mail was collected and everything was in place. She left a log chart of the time she got in and left and what was done that day. It also showed if they were eating good, etc. She text me the night we got home to make sure the dogs were doing good. They were doing great, they were pooped! Sadly you cannot trust Mary. We thought we could and she comes off like you can but when we went on our vacation she did not stay with our dogs for as much time as she said she would and that we paid her for. We have cameras and were able to track her comings/goings. When we spoke to her about this she was very defensive and stated if we didn't send her the camera logs then we were lying. She also stated we were harassing her. She said she could have come 1x, collected the money and never came back so we should be happy she came back all week . Trust me-we paid her well over $1000 for our week vacation. The only thing she admitted to is that she was moving that week and had a lot to deal with with her move. I told her she should have been honest about her move being the same week as our vacation but she was more interested in the money than doing the right thing. Sadly the animals suffered. Please do not use Mary-your animals deserve better, much better. In response to Mary's response: I also have all the text messages. I would love to see the message you claim you sent me telling me you were moving that week. It doesn't exist. Here is part of what you texted when I said something to you about it "I took your pet sit long before we even decided to buy a house so it was pure coincidence that me moving and your vacation fell at the same time. I would have felt awful telling you last minute to find another sitter so I tried to split my time between both. I am sorry you felt that I failed at that. I will admit that there were a couple of times including the first day that the pups were left in their kennels for longer...." Hmmmm.....doesn't appear you told me before our vacation that you were moving. More lies. I have no interest in going back and forth with you either Mary but I do want to let people know to be aware and to protect their pets. read more

Mary is awesome. I had never used a pet sitter before just family and even then I would worry about my pookies. I was also afraid of letting a stranger be in my home without us being there, but after speaking with Mary in person I felt a little better and now coming back home and seeing how happy my little man was and how well she took care of him speaks volumes in my book. I have no idea what I would do without Mary. During the holidays I went back home to Kentucky and left my two elder cats for two months. I felt terrible leaving them but it would of been to hard on my cats to travel at their age. Just got back from Cancun and Mary took care of my furry children for 5 days. I cannot say enough about Mary. She was the best!! My mom and I were in Vegas for work for a few days( from Denver) and we felt that we needed to bring my mom's dog who is a 14 year old Bichon Frise. He's blind and a little slow, so he needs extra love and attention. We love him so much, that we were really having a hard time trying to figure out who would watch him while we attended meetings. After getting a referral, we spoke to Mary and instantly got a great feeling. She came over to the hotel room and met with us and Polo and we all hit it off. I moved to Las Vegas in August and was in need of a pet-sitter, I was referred to Mary's Crate Escape by another pet sitter in the area who was booked and not taking anymore clients. After calling Mary twice, she responded to me via text then eventually called, I asked her if she served the area where I lived, she replied yes, Mary stated she was not available for the dates that I needed services however she would be available to provide services in the future with advance notice. Due to illness in the family I had to travel in November, I again contacted Mary in an attempt to set up a time to meet with the hope of setting up pet sitting services for my beloved pets. I called once with no response so the following day or perhaps the day after, I text Mary, I received a text message from her stating and I quote "I thought I told you I did not serve your area, I can't help you" After speaking with Mary initially I found her response to be short, in addition she had never told me that she did not serve my area. Mary and I went on to exchange several text messages, a lot gets lost in translation via text which is why I asked her to call me which she did not instead she sent text messages that were not consistent with what she had originally told me. After my initial review Mary responded, what really bothered me about her response is that it was not true and it involved my mother. Mary claimed that I was asking for caregiver services for my mother, this is not the truth, although my mother is dealing with a serious illness, she lives in Central America and has never lived with me in Las Vegas therefore it would be impossible for me to have asked for such a thing, in addition I am an RN and have been for over 20 years, I have access to caregiver services any time I need or want them. What I didn't have in Vegas was a pet sitter, I did however eventually find one and she is wonderful. as a retired Army Officer I am of the belief that everyone is entitled to respect and the highest level of customer service, bottom line I did not get either with Mary's Crate Escape. read more
