The fredonia Mary's isn't the same people and clearly I think some of these comments are about the fredonia one. Anyway, I walked in and asked for a menu, which nailed me as new. The regulars and the owner, Kevin, were wonderful to me. It reminded me of Philly and I felt at ease amongst loud, generous, happy-no-nonsens, folks. Got a turkey and provolone sub. Good almost sweet oil/vingar mix. Delicious wheat bread. Think cut turkey slices. Good amount of cheese and thick cut toppings. I prefer my onions sliced super thin but hey, I can't complain about the peppers and other veggies. After a not so fun appointment and the terrible state of our democracy, I left here feeling like there was good in humanity and neighbors and neighborhoods. read more

In an area with a TON of competition the Dunkirk Mary's never let me down. The wings are always crispy and pizza on point. Love their BBQ wings and Chicken Finger Pizza (add bacon). An added bonus is their delivery drivers have always been professional. You aren't dealing with a 20 year old who will quit/get fired next week. After living out West in WY & CO & TX for 1 1/2 years I was craving a good NY Pizza. This place hit the SPOT! My large pep @ gr beef thick pizza was phenomenal! Here's the thing, the food is delicious, subs are obviously made with high quality meat and bread. However, my girlfriend has dietary restrictions due to problems with her gallbladder, and we asked for the condiments on her sub to be on the side instead of on the sandwich. When we got the food, her sandwich was slathered in mayonnaise, completely soaked into the bread and dripping out of the sides. Delivery took and hour and a half, and on top of it they only sent two out of the four drinks we ordered. I love this place, eat here almost every time I come home. The Sicilian-style (sweet) sauce is my favorite, plus the cheese, never greasy. I usually ask for less cheese and for my pizza to be extra browned. Never had their subs, wings, salads or pasta -only pizza- in 30 years. Their service is terrible and the food is very poor I can't believe Little Caesars pizza has a hole pizza for just $5 bucks and great service with nice and pleasant workers that want to serve the customer. U can fool a person once but u sure can't do it a second time. Anyone thinking of this place should consider other pizza places. The man who served my order was so friendly and kind. I had left wallet at home and he waited for me to return with the cash The food was excellent. My sister's tuna sandwich was the best she has had in a long time and she is a lucky eater. The wings were so tasty that i ate all ten without looking back. Small deli that deserves more space and some tables to eat there! Next time I am in Dunkirk. Mary's is in my list of must go to places. read more

Why I'm giving it 3 stars..... Being gone for 5+ years I couldn't wait to get the famous Mary's deli pizza when I arrived home. I being a mother was a little scattered on the phone while I was talking.... so I understand the irritation from the other end of the phone. People are probably professionals ordering from this place so maybe it's annoying to get questions during busy hours but a typical restaurant is happy to answer any questions that are being asked - guess not this one. Totally understand busy/tired/or anything else ....but still customer service is always an *extra star*. I called at 7:32 and got my food at 8:4and I could of picked it up since I'm not that far away. so now - guess whose irritated? During the phone call, I simply asked what sizes and prices for the pizzas were because I did not have a menu on hand and on a little budget. I then got a rude and aggravated response. I felt like I called a stranger and woke him up from a much needed nap. I then stated I wanted"Buffalo wings" being in the south that has phrase has grown on me - I know it's simply just "hot wings/wings" so the response being "I don't know what that is." "Umm, hot sauce?" "We only have hot, medium, and mild." (In an aggravated tone) Ummmmm.....did I call the dunkirk Mary's delis? Sarcasm is funny when you laugh or have a cheerful voice. Lastly, I said let me get my card or do you take cash and got hung up on. The best part of all this the driver arrived stating they didn't take cards. - Ha! Wish I knew that before; so in that 1 hour and 40 minutes I could of grabbed cash. That should be stated as you hang up since this is the last restaurant on the planet that doesn't take cards and typically most people don't carry cash... We all have bad/busy days but there's no excuse for a restaurant to be so rude and condescending- the reason they have 3 stars is because the food is good (even though it was luke- warm by the time it arrived) but I guess I'll just get my wing and pizza fix elsewhere. read more

Hands down the best pizza in Dunkirk! I've been to all the local pizza shops in the area and if your looking for quality pizza then I would definitely try this place out. If you like a sweeter pizza sauce this is the place for you. The crust is really good as well. The nice thing about the pizza is they don't load it with cheese, so it's more on the lighter side. Their pizza sauce is on point, and they have some of the best wings in the area (I personally enjoy the butter garlic and honey mustard.) Home made pizza is very good, NOT gas station pizza. The wings are fantastic! Our favorite is garlic parmesan! A great place to get a party pizza with wings. The BEST SUBS IN THE AREA PERIOD! Hot or cold! My favorites are the Italian Roast Beef Sub and the Italian Stallion Sub! The subs have so much meat on them I usually get 1/2 of a sub. The ITALIAN STALLION has so much meat on it 1/2 of a sub must weigh a pound! Two people can easily have it cut in half and both have plenty! We go there often. Things that take time like wings or a party pizza we call the order in and then pick it up. We usually get subs a go to the Point where there are plenty of picnic tables overlooking Lake Erie.
