My wife called to order a pizza and recieved one of the RUDEST, UNPROFESSIONAL, ABRASIVE, and DISMISSIVE customer service experiences of her life. It made her so upset, we had to cancel our order worried the pizza would be spit on. Based on the quality of the employee, this was 100% a legitimate concern. All my wife did was ask for extra sauce on the pizza and was told "I don't have time for that", when she insisted, the kid said, "it tastes the same." The whole interaction was rude and disrespectful. Absolutely reprehensible and vile interaction. Low class. We live in WNY...there are PLENTY of options for amazing pizza. If you experience something like this it taints it forever. If you want to order pizza the way you like it and like having a good experience, GO ELSEWHERE. NOTE: The manager or owner, some kinder woman answered the phone when I called to cancel our order and she was very apologetic...But the experience was jarring and no corrective action was taken to make a wrong right. I've gone here time and time again, and i don't know why i keep returning. Older lady at the front counter- stop eating and drinking between customers. Try actually getting the costumers food out within 45 mins for once. Don't know if the lady on the ovens is the owner or not, but allowing such poor customer service during peak times is so outrageous. Phone will ring 6/7 times before anyone picks it up. Also- stop handing me parts of my order before it's all finished, i don't want cold food. highly suggest getting some new employees. read more

Went into the pizzeria with no expectations based on previous reviews. We had a group of 7 and were the only occupants of the dining area. Service was very good for our purposes as having the pizza and wings just set out on another table and allowing us to serve ourselves was what we wanted. Requests for any additional items ie: more blue cheese, additional napkins etc. were responded to quickly. So while maybe not a traditional dining out experience, it was good for a group of friends or family just wanting to hang out together. Food was good. Tables and chairs *anchored* so we could not all sit together but that was fine too as we just moved around sitting with one group and then with another. Still popular for the two-slice and a soda lunch deal for $5, but I've stopped eating here after getting sick. The pizza dough is, well, doughy and I do like that from time to time, but after the past couple of years the pizza has gotten waaaaaay to greasy. I mean it's terribly greasy. Wings are average and the subs are not bad at all. I've ordered a number of both hot and cold subs and the only dud was the veal parm. That was flat-out terrible. Food joints are limited right in Angola so that has a lot to do with why people still go here. Tredo's opened up in the last year - I wonder if they are taking any business away from Maria's. This place has gotten to be the worst Pizza I have ever eaten. The Pizza Hut in Derby and the stuff you buy at Tops taste better than what Maria's is serving. Their pizza sauce is bland and tasteless. Their peperoni on the pepperoni pizza is non existent, and then add to that its burnt cups. I guess you can say the pepperoni pizza is Cheese with Pepperoni oil smothered on top of it. Also this was the only pizza I have ever eaten where there would be oil running down my arms when I eat it. Its super disgusting. I'm not sure why or how everyone is giving this place high ratings? My friends who were staying in Angola wanted to get food at somewhere close, and this was what they decided on. Let me be clear: this place is a total dump. I wouldn't voluntarily dine in here again. It's hot, dirty, and oily. There are a few tables inside for eating at, but it is definitely lacking in atmosphere. The pizza on the other hand was pretty decent. The crust was chewy and cooked well, the cheese was decent, and the sauce wasn't as sickly sweet as I feared it would be. They also use the small style of pepperoni, in case that is useful to know. I wish I could give a zero star review!!! On Friday, June 15th I called Marias at 11:30 am to order a large order for a pickup at 6:00 pm. The girl I spoke with on the phone repeated my order back to me, I double checked to confirm the order would be ready at 6:00 pm. When my husband went to pick up the order, they didn't have it! There was no record of the order?!?! I had 25 people at my house waiting for pizza and wings! I called several times trying to speak with an owner or manager, and still have not been called back or gotten through to someone in charge. I grew up in this area and now live in South Florida. This is still the best pizza I have ever had! They may need a deep cleaning and a slight remodeling, but you don't go there for the look of the place! I cant wait until my next trip to Buffalo! I dream about this pizza! Today was 2hours, fries wilted, fingers cold as was the pizza... warning other folks who order when hungry. This place I gave another chance to as it was one of my favorites, but lately the food SUCKS. My pizza when I picked up and got home had half cheese, other side was pretty bare, 10 mushrooms on if that and it was burnt. Called and complained but didn't seem to care. Ordered a taco mild today with sour cream, no salsa, came and it was hot, hamburger burnt, sour cream (think it was bad)and most of the taco was shell, what is happening to your restaurant?????? Chicken finger pizza is good. Cheese & pep is decent but greasy. Service is a complete disaster. On a consistent basis, I call ahead, arrive to pick up my order 45 minutes later, then the workers scramble around for a few minutes trying to figure out where my order is. Then I'm almost always told that I'm too early and I need to wait another 30+ minutes (for a single large pizza). On multiple other occasions, nobody on staff had any recollection of even taking my order. Then, while I'm waiting, I observe the same thing happening to the next five people who walk in to pick up their orders. If this happened every once in a while, I wouldn't be writing this review, but the fact that it happens every single time I order here is inexcusable. This is for a basic pizza...
