We had pizza two different days while staying at Chautauqua Institute. The first time the pizza was great and we would've given this restaurant a five star. The crust was similar to a Pizza Hut hand tossed but much better. It was cooked all the way through and the toppings were cooked perfectly. The second time the crust was overcooked on the outside, but undercooked on the inside. The pizza overall on the outside and all the toppings were overcooked, too brown, and it was dried out. So a dried out pizza with undercooked crust in the middle. This pizza would've been a one star rating. The first time we ate in the restaurant and were the first people in the restaurant for lunch to order pizza. Again, for the style it was an excellent pizza. The second time we ordered in the late afternoon takeout so that we could bring it back to our condo before the evening show at Chautauqua. My guess is the second time the oven was much hotter, so they could accommodate turning more pizzas more quickly. This made their product inferior by cooking it at too high of a temperature. The restaurant really needs to look for quality control, and consistency. Based on the number of good restaurants in the area, or more like lack there of, if they were more consistent, they could dominate the market. read more

If Andriaccio's were in L.A. (my hometown), I'd probably rate it a solid 4. But given its location near the Chautauqua Institution - where dining options are limited - it earns a full 5 stars. It's a must-visit for us every year during our week in Chautauqua. Andriaccio's has a large Italian menu, and because we've been several times - sometimes just the two of us, other times with friends - we've had the chance to try a lot of it. I'm especially fond of their pizza, but the pasta and steak dishes have also been consistently good. There really aren't any bad choices on the menu. Service is another strong point. Even when the restaurant is busy, the waitstaff is always polite, attentive, and unhurried. They check in regularly and make you feel taken care of without hovering. It's reliable, welcoming, and exactly the kind of place you're grateful to have nearby when options are limited. read more

Such a beautiful restaurant we always get pizza and spaghetti from. 2.5 star experience today. We're really sad that we had such a bad visit this time. There were only 2 other tables and we had a long wait time on drink refills because our waitress was talking with friends while the kitchen kept dining the pick up bell for her for about 5 minutes straight. No sides come with the pasta dishes not even a slice of bread. Our food came out luke warm on ice cold plates. The flavor of the spaghetti and meatballs were amazing, but they break their noodles in half which is a sin and it was room temperature. The flavor of the Alfredo was very bland. The chicken had zero seasoning and it tasted like it was from a can or frozen and boiled with chunks of cartilage in it. I told the waitress and asked for seasoning or something to save it. Nothing did. I had 2 bites of it and left it all on the dish in a big pile. When the waitress came she looked right at it and I told her I didn't like it at all. She still charged us the upcharge for the uneaten chicken that I complained about twice. I always tip at the very least 20% everywhere, today I tipped $3. read more

Great spot for a sit down Italian meal at Chautauqua. This place is as much of an institution, in terms of longevity, as the literal Chautauqua Institution. I've been visiting since I was eight years old and looked forward to the opportunity to visit as an adult. They were able to seat our party of eight on a busy weekend night during tourist season, but we had to go with an outside option. With two round tables pushed together and some slight table wobliness, it wasn't seamless. However, we appreciate being seated without a wait because we had young children with us. I went with the eggplant parm and also got to try the garlic bread and some cheese pizza. The eggplant parm was fairly thinly cut and well-breaded. It was soft in texture and swimming in tasty sauce. Also, the pizza was hot and cheesy! Lastly, the cheesy garlic bread was a nice app. But I'd probably skip it next time because it was just straight carbs and the rest of the meal was carbs (by design). Service was a little slow, but it was understandable given how busy they were. Also, they had some live music, which was a welcome surprise! Overall, in the Chautauqua area this is definitely a spot worth visiting for a meal. Andriaccio's is a staple in my family's diet. Their pizza competes as some of the best I've ever had. And I have had the good fortune of trying chicken wings in almost every corner of the east coast, but none come remotely close to Andriaccio's. I tried their garlic parm wings and they are a new favorite of mine. They have an extensive menu of other great options from pasta to steak. There is a takeout side of the restaurant and a dine-in side of the restaurant. The dine in side is a bit more upscale, with table cloths and a wine selection. It's a favorite amongst Chautauqua Institution visitors. But the dine-in section is versatile enough that casual dress is also welcome without clash, definitely a "pick your own vibe" type of place. And the service is always exceptional. read more

SIMON DID A Phenomenal Job with our food. We gave Simon the green light to have his way with our food and he did not disappoint. The ambiance was on par with what i expected although they could use some coasters. I also loved the napkins. It was like I was eating in bed and grabbed my bed sheet and wiped my face with it. However there was a fly that was definitely in the little boys room flying around us and followed us into the car. Rip fly i lowkey killed him. The waitresses lowkey clocked our tea on the way out. Every time we go to the Chautauqua Institute, we stopped for dinner at Andriaccio's restaurant. It is always a slam dunk. The food is stellar. The proportions are large. The service is second to none. Sunday July 28, 2024 . My wife and I enjoyed eating here several times before and after the pandemic and up until two years ago. We returned to Chautauqua again excited for the good Italian food we remembered. No luck. Both cocktails were poorly made and my Manhattan up was both short and warm. The calamari appetizer was mostly hot, but really small compared to its $16 price. We both had eggplant parmigiana and at $20, very small, tough with a small side of tasteless spaghetti. Sides salads' lettuce were limp. Our pleasant and prompt server couldn't save this one. read more

There are several vegetarian options, including excellent eggplant parm, and a variety of pizzas and salads. Nice wine/beer/cocktail list. Food was so fantastic that after eating there for dinner on Saturday (great job Simon), we returned Sunday afternoon for lunch! Pizza was great, salad was great (try the Concord grape vinaigrette, so unique & different). I'm so happy we opted to try this place, it is a diamond compared to many of the other options around - perfect for a casual dinner, but I could see it as a "nice" dinner out as well. I've been eating Andriaccios pizza since summer of 1988 and it has not changed..so good! This time I brought my mom for a weekend getaway and this was our first stop. We played golf in the area during the day and then had reservations at Andriaccios for dinner on Saturday night. I had a group of 36 guys and had created a buffet dinner for our group with Sally. The food was good and I thought we received a good value with the buffet. What stood out for me was the service. Our waitress was phenomenal and she was incredibly nice even after a guy was yelling at her (I never found out why but drunk and tired can be grumpy I guess !!). Anyway... she not only remained nice the entire night, she offered to put a meal together for our grumpy golfer after he stormed out and went to his car ! That girl was an absolute sweetheart and should be commended for her efforts !! We tipped very well that night but after what she endured, we couldn't give her enough !! Well done !! read more

Excellent meal today! Ordered the mussels and garlic bread as appetizers (I love garlic and this hit the spot!!), then the sea bass - so good!
