I have tried many barber shops in NW Albuquerque, but have decided this is my favorite place to get my haircut and beard trimmed. Though I have had a couple of folks perform these services at Marz, my favorite is "Ash!" She is the first barber in the 10 years I've lived here since moving from NJ, who has solved the mystery of my cowlicks!!! It's an upbeat venue with good (though a bit loud for this old geezer) music. They offer a generous senior discount and their prices are more reasonable than other places I've been to. Took my son for back to school haircut i sent him in like I normally do as he's walking out, I see the look on his face of disappointment i looked at his hair and the barber copped it up he went in just wanting a slight trim off the top and on the sides as I went in to talk to the barber who cut his hair, which was joe she told me he did not say anything about what he wanted which is false? But as I told her being a Barber, she should have never let him walk out Looking the way he did. Although he was not happy unfortunately he still paid her the only excuse she had was I should have gone in there with him she had a very poor communication skills and to find out that she was the manager. It was even more disappointing how she was talking to me and the way she left my son walking out of that barbershop she did not try once to make it right as far as fixing it or as far as giving my son back his money we will never go there again. read more

Friendly as soon as we walked in. They were hopping too, nonstop walk-ins (a good sign). The gentleman who cut my son's hair was really good and even though my son was pretty wiggly, he came out with the most clean looking fade I've seen. Edging was perfect too. Overall great service and the other patrons getting their hair cut looked great, from really curly hair cleaned up to some cool edging around a buzz cut. Sure you'll pay more than Great Clips, but after some really uneven cuts at Great Clips I decided it's worth it to get it done properly. Marz Barbershop is the place, easy location too on Golf Course. Also don't worry about the bad review with the picture, all I can say is I saw 6 guys get really good haircuts while we were waiting our turn. read more

It is sad when you treat a regular and loyal customer like dirt. I always go on-line and schedule an appointment. Today I scheduled an appointment for 345pm. Arrived at 340pm. waited 20 minute. When the customer ahead of me was done, Mr Tee walked out and stated that he needed to eat. I waited 20 more minutes and Tee never came back. Rude and disrespectful. Marz baber shop Albuquerque has so many good things going for it and I would recommend this barbershop to anyone that needs a haircut. First off there open 7 days a week. If you know not that many barber shops are open on Sundays in Albuquerque. But not only that the team there are solid people and they always greet you on your way out when your done paying. that makes you feel valued as a customer. The shops is clean and always up kept never any hair on the floor. The barbershop plays music and makes sure there isn't any bad language for the little ones. Personally my barber is Malachi super dope guy and very professional and super welcoming. Now they aren't the cheapest and they aren't the most expensive. But you get What you pay for here. I've never been dissatisfied with my haircut and I come once a week on the dot. He's so good with the customers you can tell from the interactions he has with each one of them. Oh lord, where do I even begin. Went in earlier today to get my hair done and was trying something new. I went to the guy who's stationed in the back. Don't know his name. He was barely speaking whispering to the point where I had no idea what he was saying. I was trying something new with my hair so I was trusting him with it because I had no idea what I was doing. Anyways, described what I wanted, he said he was good with longer guys hair.. that was a lie. I sat down and he began to cut it. It looked nice at first. He kept and kept cutting. I was there an hour at least before he was finally done. I walked in with hair down almost to my chin the whole way around, walked out with the most choppy psycho hair ever. two small sections in the front were down to my eyes (very jagged) and the rest is to the top of my forehead. I look like I got jumped by Edward Scissorhands and a pack of raccoons. When I saw my hair I was near tears and wanted to puke. Do not go here. TRUST ME. Both sides are very uneven. read more

This has to be the worst haircut I've ever had. I practically had to coach the guy through the haircut and he still messed it up. I also asked to fix up a ton of spots he missed but it was apparent he just didn't know how to cut hair. One side doesn't match the other and the fade doesn't exist; on top of that it took an hour and costed $30.
