We(Sierra Park Villas) contracted JDB for hardscape concrete retaining walls and some concrete…read morestairs. I do not recommend them for finish concrete work. 1. Jordan is very unprofessional in his behavior. During construction Jordan verbally abused one of our board members and two other owners who were present during a progress discussion. We had to ask him to leave the property. 2. Make sure if you use them that your plans are part of the details in the quote. We provided drawings and pictures with details documented. These were also submitted to the city and were approved as the details for the build. His bid ultimately did not reference this document which led to disputes on what was to be built. At one point we had to frame out one of the concrete walls ourselves to get the project done. 3. The concrete work is subpar. The main retaining wall, which was framed as a straight wall, is now curved. Their forms bulged during the setting process and they failed to correct it in time. The finish work, which was to be brushed concrete is a mess. Air pockets on the surface, deep form impressions and uneven surfaces is what we ended up with. When they came out to clean it up and make it right it just got worse. We paid them but I don't see us using them again unless they are willing to make it look like it should. Pictures don't lie.

His workers are clueless (threw away our deck hand railing and replaced with 2 x4s!). If you want to be strung along and deal with someone who has no idea how to manage a job-site then this is the guy for you!

Do not use this company. They don't do a thorough job, charge an outrageous fee, and Angelo is a…read morevery rude person. They also did not disclose their $250 fee beforehand. We've never paid that much for chimney service and would never have agreed to that if we knew it would be so high. How they messed up: It's common practice to take apart the indoor part of a wood burning stove chimney, especially if there are elbows. All they did was clean from the roof, then vacuum the inside of the stove. But this left a TON of soot backed up in the elbows of the chimney and the 90 degree elbow joint leading to the stove. None of this could possibly be cleaned thoroughly with a vacuum from the inside of the stove. When we tried to light the stove after they left, it smoked out our house because the chimney was backed up with soot. We had to dismantle the chimney ourselves and finish cleaning the soot that they left behind. When we contacted the company after this ordeal, they were very rude, tried to blame us for "not instructing them on how to clean our stove properly", and didn't want to refund or reduce the fee that we paid them.

New house build in Mammoth Lakes. Huge trees that needed to be carefully topped, blocked and felled…read morein order to safely clear the lot without crashing down on a neighbor's house. In one day Skyline took down 7 trees. Several of these were 175 inches in diameter. They blocked these monsters into rounds and moved them to the side of the lot where they can age out of the way of the new construction. I cleared about 7 trees myself but these were way out of my league. i initially wanted and thought I could do this work but the likelihood of a catastrophic failure was in retrospect; HUGE! There is a fair chance that I would have hurt myself, my neighbors and/or totaled their house. Plus I would have spent days using my truck to tow downed wood out of the way; a poor use of my time and potentially damaging to me and my truck. Michael's guys were confident, worked super fast, very efficient and very safe. Contracting Skyline was the best construction decision that I've made thus far. Worth every penny !

The employees we worked with were all friendly and helpful. The store is an Ace Hardware store with the famous popcorn machine. We have purchased paint, caulking and other painting supplies in the past and have found the paint specialists to be both helpful and knowledgable. It is nice to have a full service type lumber and hardware store in the eastern sierras. It is also nice to have a store who provides good customer service even with limited local competition.
