Tasty pizza, but pretty $$$ for what you get…read more We came here for a late lunch. My husband got the lunch special, which was half a margherita pizza plus a salad for $10. If you add a topping, you pay the full upcharge, even though it's just half a pizza (though maybe they put a whole pizza's worth on half?). I got the calamari, thinking that for a $15 app, it could just be my lunch. Alas, the portion was quite small (see photo; several of the fried bits were fried pepper, not even squid), and it was just okay. Some pieces were pretty rubbery. I also tried a bit of my husband's pizza. The crust is lovely, and the sauce was very flavorful and complex. Service was friendly but a bit lacking. They forgot to bring out my husband's salad until after his pizza came out, and when we were done, I had to go find a waitperson to get our check. Also when I googled up the lunch special price to double-check, I learned it's also supposed to come with a drink, which I guess they forgot to tell us or offer us. It was nice to sit outside and enjoy the spring weather. If a friend suggested meeting up here to grab a drink and share a pizza, I'd say sure! But I wouldn't waste my money on the calamari again.

This iteration seems…read morelike the best for the area: it's very family friendly, with tons of games and playground area for the younger set. I came at 5:45 on a Monday (because no other places are open on Mondays!), and was one of maybe four me. In the place. The rest were moms with one or two (or more!) kids, some waiting for dad to join them after work. I ate in a covered patio that in a few months will be too hot to endure. But tonight, mid-March, it's a sunny delight. I ordered a smashburger and a Kingstown Negroni. Drae stirred my drink and out the order in, and it arrived with fries just minutes later. Juicy double patty burger, caramelized onions, cheese, salt & pepper fries. Fresh and very tasty. WiFi was fast, music was smooth but subdued. (Think Sade and Barry White dueling. Wish I wasn't alone!) Kids were everywhere, but very well-behaved and in explore mode, which I find adorable! There are outside areas covered in open or tarps, clear flexi-glass walled off areas, and true "indoor" places you can watch TV in. Everything from Top Gear to REN & Stimpy. A great way to spend an early dinner/very late lunch.

Very intrigued by the unique menu so decided to stop by for dinner on Friday late afternoon…read more Very large open area both inside and outside. Casual with various seating options booths, chairs, benches. Very kid friendly, there were many young children running around inside and outside. My only negative would be the amount of flies around the food and landing on your food while you're eating. Service was great, fast and friendly. I appreciated the ordering system. You could order from the bar or order from the unique QR CODE attached to each table. You could close out from your phone or the bar. Staff brings out your drink and food order according to your unique QR code id. Food was amazing! Can't wait to come back and try something different. I had the smash burger with regular fries and the peach ginger non alcoholic drink (very yummy).

One of the top meals that I've had in the Triangle, and it was 100% vegan! The food was awesome,…read morebut what stood out even more was the service- the epitome of Southern hospitality. Since it was our first time at Pure Soul, the host gave us drinks on the house (we got Sweet Tea, Lemonade, and Root Beer). The tea and lemonade were on the sweeter side, but I enjoyed both. My sister liked the root beer, which was from Uncle's Scott's, a local NC brand. They also offer a discount for teachers, students, and veterans. For entrees, we got the: - Drumstix plate (BBQ, buffalo, or fried- included rice and a sauce): We chose fried- it was perfectly crispy, so tasty. Couldn't choose between hot honey and honey mustard, so they gave us both, again so nice. Rice was well-cooked. - Chicago burger (grilled onions, cheddar, pickles, tangy aioli): Classic! Enjoyed this overall. - Fried fish plate (includes rice, slaw & tartar sauce): This is funny, but this dish was a bit too fishy for me lol. But crazy how well they do their vegan alternatives. - BBQ plate ("pulled pork" in a sweet BBQ sauce, served with slaw): Probably my least favorite entree, I think the pork was too sweet for me, but it did balance with the slaw. We tried a bunch of sides, which from my most to least favorites were: Soul Mac (not too cheesy), Hushpuppies (crispy outside, pillowy inside), Rob's Favorite Cornbread (so moist), Sweet Potato Fries (classic), Bilbo's Greens, Blackeyed Peas & Veggies, and Nik's Candied Yams (too sweet for me). Ambiance is nice with both indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of parking available. 10/10 would recommend!

This is easily a 4.5 star spot but yelp won't let us do halves…read more Great attentive and helpful staff with plenty of options to choose from to curate your own plate. Our son had the kids impossible burger and mac n cheese. My wife had the Soul Rolls and I had the bbq (vinegar based) plate with slaw, mac and cheese and greens. We also had 2 drumsticks. The kids plate was devoured quickly- the burger is slider-sized and comes with onion, tomato, lettuce and pickles on the side (surprisingly the veggies were untouched but I claimed the pickles). My wife said the Soul Rolls were a 10/10- crispy eggrolls stuffed with mac, greens and sweet bbq protein. My plate was good too but I wish it came with bread instead of counting it as a side. Also wish it had a little sauce on the side. Greens were seasoned well and the mac was creamy. Drumstick was amazing but a bit steep at 4 bucks each. Only criticism is that we wish the side portions were a little bigger for the price. Still won't stop us from returning in the future when in town!

The sandwiches were packed with flavor, perfectly cooked, and the bread was soft with just the right texture. The Clifford's Cutlet was crispy and delicious, while the McSteak was rich, cheesy, and seriously satisfying. And those chocolate chunk sea salt cookies? Absolutely phenomenal. Soft, gooey, and the perfect sweet ending to the meal. Everything arrived fresh, and I was already thinking about what I want to order next before I finished eating. If you're debating whether to try EASTCUT, do it. This was easily a 10/10 meal, and I'll definitely be ordering again.

Yelp told me this delicious sandwich shop was just 5 minutes away, which seemed like the perfect option. It was a hot summer day and I couldn't believe how many people were sitting outside in the heat. We got the last table in the air conditioned inside, which made me happy. We placed our orders at the counter: - The Jane for me - Pine Street Pimento for my daughter and a bag of chips (salt & vinegar for me) for both! We did the smaller size sandwiches which were still quite large, but we were quite hungry and finished them off. They were so good that I even thought about coming back for lunch the next day, but knew there were plenty of delicious restaurants in the area to try. However, i'll come again when back in the area!
