Absolutely best salad I have ordered out in a long time. This place offers a variety of fresh made to order salads, sandwiches, gyros and some bakery goods along with smoothies and a coffee bar. Outdoor seating was a nice option. Service was excellent.

Chicken Souvlaki

Stopped by here for a light dinner. We were in the mood for some sandwiches and wraps. I ordered the Chicken Souvlaki. I had to take off 1 star because it took a while (at least 20 minutes) before our food came out. Food-wise, my wrap was amazing. The chicken was juicy and the tzatziki sauce brought a lot of flavors. Also, they really piled on the mixed field greens so I got my daily serving of veggies. The pita was warm and soft. I'll definitely be back in the future.

Thank you for a great post work-out meal 2 days in a row. The salmon yesterday was cooked perfectly and today was a little bit on the dry side, but still good! Great food and good service

I love Saladelia, but this location steps it UP! SO SO GOOD. You need to try the Mexican White Chocolate and the grilled cheese on pita with tomato basil soup. Phenomenal!

I had never heard of Saladelia Cafe before my visit and I always excited to try a new spot. The parking lot to the cafe was good. It's inside of a shopping center so there is plenty of parking. The inside of the restaurant is fairly big in size. There are 2 sides one near the register and then other side is like open seating. We ended up sitting near the back. They also have a HUGE table for large groups which was great. I ordered the Gyro + Chips, my son had the grilled cheese sandwich + chips and my husband had the chicken sandwich + chips and everything was tasty. My son finished his entire grilled cheese so either he was hungry or it was really good. I think it was the latter. Here is why I didn't rate it a 4 or higher. When I went to get my fountain drink the sprite tab wasn't working. So, the staff member went to get the manager. He comes out and I tell him that it wasn't working, he replies with an attitude "yes! It does" and pushes the machine a little harder and the "sprite" comes out, well, when it comes out it's like yellowish almost like ginger ale. So, first he had an attitude & second it was yellowish, then he just walks off. The staff members there were all very nice and pleasant. The guy that checked me out was very knowledgeable of the menu and he answered all of my questions. Overall good restaurant & food but the manager I wasn't to impressed it. I would suggest they change out their filters.

Greek wrap and kale salad

Hadn't eaten here in many years and stopped in on a Monday evening for a light dinner. It was confusing at first because there were several customers milling around and no staff person acknowledged us. Then someone who looked like a manager came out and took our order, but he didn't ask for our name or give us a number to take to our table. He said we could swap out chips for one of their housemade sides. We ordered two ice teas with mint, a chicken shawarma and a Greek wrap. We were handed two hot mint teas instead of our ice teas (okay, maybe he misheard me). When I saw the receipt that was emailed to us, we were charged extra fees for the two sides -- they never mentioned that. When our food order was ready, a server was walking around looking for our number but we were never handed one. I had to show her our number on the receipt that was emailed to us. We enjoyed the food and the sides, but the service was very uneven. I know getting good help is hard for restaurants right now but the man who took our order was clearly a supervisor of some sort and should have done better.

First time here. Won't be my last. Had chicken melt and homemade chips. Delicious. The only real complaint is that they don't take cash.

I moved back to the area a couple of years ago and came here for the first time after many years. It hasn't changed much which is good. Order at the counter and get a number and they'll bring your food to you. The bakery case has lots of delicious choices including large cookies and scones. Service is fast and friendly. I got an avocado toast. I prefer fresh avocado to the creamy kind that comes out of a package but the bread was good as was the presentation and generous fruit garnish. I got an iced tea but I'm sure their coffee is good. It's kind of noisy because it has that industrial, almost cafeteria type vibe but it's a good place to go alone or with a friend because it's so consistent and reasonably priced for the portions.

Nice facility layout, both indoor and outdoor seating. Hard to separate service from the quality of the food. These are where they fell short. Have been here several times over the years and the food was served in poor condition. Clearly the worst of all of our visits. Toast and eggs were room temperature upon delivery. We noted that servers were of a different caliber than in the past. Hopefully just the shift that we visited a Friday morning. Coffee good, not stellar. Bottom line of fun place to be and eat or enjoy socializing. Just the service and food did not keep up at least for this visit.

Not a lot of parking out front so they allow parking next door at Kings gr but they kept a line of folks. Yes it moved, don't worry. Fresh pastry variety was quite impressive. The goodies were: Vietnamese coffee donut & creamsicle donut from Red Start bakery. An apple pop tart, & blueberry cheese danish also caught my eye. Yes I got them all. There was more but a guy gotta have limits. But I'll just they were mmm mmm good. I'll have to get the donuts again. There is limited seating, and a children's play area which was so cool. I'm hard pressed to not get my jolt of Java so I got a cortado with a drizzle of caramel for a little sweetness. LOVED the flavor, would've loved it if a little hotter. My son-in-law got the Mexican Coke, vanilla espresso. It was cold and amazing as per him. My wife's latte also needed to be hotter. I'll cut the barista a break as she was a one woman show.

You can tell the quality of the drink and beans Omie's is high quality as soon as you taste it. I absolutely loved their fun and creative seasonal menu. I ordered the pumpkin pie brown butter latte, and it was so tasty. Normally, I have to ask coffee shops to reduce the sugar, but this drink was perfectly balanced. In addition, Omie's sells baked goods to complement your drink. There was a selection of tasty treats to pick from. One of my friends got a HUGE cookie, which looked absolutely delicious. As a fair heads up, parking and inside seating areas are limited. However, Omie's has done the most to maximize the space to make it a cozy place to sit. Pro tip- there is a little more seating to the left of the bathrooms, and there are several comfy spots interspersed throughout. Come for the good coffee, good vibes, and lovely service staff. I definitely know that I will be back!

Upon entering, the atmosphere was clean and bright. In addition to their dining room area, they also have a delightful small market of house-made baked goodies and other items for sale. I ordered their daily specials, which today was a Chicken Salad Wrap with either potato salad or fruit cup. I opted for the fruit cup. I didn't have to wait long for my food. I took a bite of the wrap and that's where my culinary experience kinda plateaued.... the chicken salad was completely lacking in flavor. I'm picky about my chicken salad and this was far from great. To be honest, it tasted store bought, though I'm sure it was made in-house. I say that because I found a lovely piece of cartilage in the chicken salad. As for the fruit, it was pretty basic, cubed watermelon with most of the seeds gone and blueberries. I get this isn't fine dining but guys come on...let's put a lil more effort into our dishes, shall we? At least add some salt and pepper, perhaps come celery and a little onion to that chicken salad. And oh, make sure all the bones are removed. As for the fruit, get seedless watermelon for crying out loud, and it's summer, so use other summer fruit and punch up that fruit cup. I was charged $14 for this plate of food. That means it cost about $4.60 to make each plate. Bit over priced for bland chicken salad and boring fruit. $11 or $12 would have been better. Their bathroom could also use some attention as well. Bottom line, might be back, might not. They had other tasty looking options on the menu, but if what I had today was example of how they other dishes would come out, then no thanks!

Service is very friendly, and as quick as possible, considering that stuff seems to be made to order. I ordered a chicken kebab platter which comes over a bed of basmati rice, possibly with saffron. Whatever the rice tasted great and it wasn't dry like at a lot of places. The chicken was marinated in a tangy yogurt-spice mix, grilled and topped with a tahini sauce. Delicious! As sides I got mujadara and roasted vegetables which were also tasty. I'll be back for takeout for sure in the future.

"Bodega-like Mediterranean Grill & Grocery in Parkwood area of Durham"…read more This place is WAY off the beaten path for most, but I'm so happy to have gotten to try it out. Nestled in a little strip between a Muslim school and a mosque is this grill and grocery. We came on a Wednesday evening, and almost every table was already taken by diners. You order your food at a counter, and it has the Middle Eastern foods you'd expect-- kofta, shawarma, gyros, falafel, baba ghanouj, hummus, baklava, etc. I opted for the lamb gyro sandwich with a side of baba ghanouj, and my dining partner had the falafel sandwich. They call your number when it's ready. Food took maybe 10 minutes to receive, so we browsed the market area. It's not a huge selection, but very traditional-- nice seeing so many labels in Arabic, and along with standards (e.g., canned fava beans for Ful Medames), they also had things like frozen chopped mulukhiyah leaves-- that's definitely a rarer sight. Lots of good spices too. The food was EXCELLENT. The lamb was juicy and perfect (unlike what another Yelp review said), the tzatziki sauce was delicious, and the baba ghanouj was perfectly cooked and textured. I had a small bite of the falafel, and it was indeed one of the best I've had in the US. Price was fair, too-- the sandwiches are all under $10 before tax and tip, and making it a combo with side and drink cost just something like $2.50. And service was friendly-- although they called out numbers, they did walk out with the food to try to find and bring you your dishes. And while it was an older space, it was overall still generally clean. Overall, I'd VERY happily come back.
