    Hot Honey Chicken Bowl
    Lacy D.

So, so, so good! I stopped in around noon on a Saturday afternoon and was the only person there, so service was quick. I had the Hot Honey chicken bowl and it was perfect for a slightly chilly day. I sat outside in the sun and enjoyed my warm bowl. I really love Happy + Hale and wish we had one where I live!

For some reason I always just assumed this place was ultra healthy and not tasty. I was so wrong. I can't believe I didn't know how good their bowls were until today. The options here are amazing and there is a bowl for everybody. It is not focused on one type of cuisine and has bowls with indian, asian, tex mex, and more flavors. They also have plenty of vegan options. The portions are hefty, the food is fresh and so delicious, and the staff is nice and helpful. I also absolutely love that they'll mix it up and chop it up for you because most build your own bowl places are filled to the top and hard to mix. This makes it so much more enjoyable. I made a bowl with the kabob chicken, chipotle tenderloin, white rice, arugula, corn, diced onions, broccoli, feta, herb yogurt, and achari aioli. It was SO good and I was full all day from it. I'll definitely be frequenting this spot from now on.

I came here for a quick dinner on a Friday. It was just what I wanted. A grab your own bowl that I could take on the road. It was very fast and easy. I made my own bowl. The worker was nice and explained the process. There was dining inside and out. There was a base, a protein, three vegetables and a dressing. The bowl was pretty filling! I was surprised! Ingredients tasted fresh and flavors worked well together. I was overall very happy with my meal!

Clean modern atmosphere. Friendly and fast service. Said hello when I walked in the door. There are many bowls you can select or make your own, along with breakfast items, and smoothies. I chose to create my own bowl with mixed greens and brown rice, herb roasted chicken as the protein. You get three veggies for free so I had black beans, roasted broccoli and sweet potatoes. Most of the toppings are extra but not the cilantro or the crispy onion straws, which is what I got. With the honey haberno sauce to top it off. Delicious. I'll add this place to my bowl restaurant rotation.

Funny story... I was not going to come here. I had plans to get a milkshake from the Cookout next door, but opted for the healthier option. And boy, am I glad to have made the right choice. This place is similar to your Cava, almost like Chipotle.. but better. A clean establishment, decent fountain drinks to choose from, and huge portions.

I came with my boyfriend on a weekday afternoon for lunch after the gym. The inside was very clean and open (it kind of reminded me of Sweet Green if you've heard of that chain). I ordered the protein bowl with Thai sesame vinaigrette instead of the honey habanero dressing. The protein bowl was really delicious - this has become my go-to order whenever I visit Happy + Hale! Overall, Happy + Hale is a great after-gym lunch/dinner and I'll definitely be back!

I love Happy and Hale! I always feel healthier after eating here, it's definitely better than fast food but doesn't cost a whole lot more. The protein bowl is probably my favorite. I like this location because there is plenty of parking. Definitely check this place out for lunch!

I had an Offline offer to use at this location. I went with the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl. They make it in front of you so you could add other toppings if you wanted (assuming added costs). I will say it is a little pricey for the amount of food that you get so I wouldn't want to eat here that often. The taste was pretty good but I wouldn't say it was outstanding. I also ordered a pink drink and it was good and refreshing. If you're feeling like eating something healthy, I would come here. It probably helps that it's right next to O2 fitness. The restaurant is located in a shopping center so parking is super easy.

A healthy version of Chipotle... with better food. Got the Hale Caesar, would definitely recommend it. I'm not vegan, but this bowl is and I couldn't get enough of it. Buffalo cauliflower is extremely good.

    Coco Curry Bowl

Stopped in for dinner last night. The Coco Curry bowl with chicken was phenomenal. Good portion size, great flavor. Husband ordered the Mediterranean bowl and loved it, too. You could also create your own bowls picking base, protein, toppings but we thought the signature bowls would probably be the perfect combo of ingredients, which they were. This location is right next to a gym and lots of gym goers were picking up bowls after their workouts. Great place to grab a healthy but delicious dinner!

Happy + Hale is a new favorite of mine! I had a deal through a subscription which led me here for the first time. Great bowl options, very customizable, fresh, and so tasty! Even my husband who tends to not love salads and fresh food as much as I can't wait to go back. The staff was friendly and helpful. As I understand there are many locations, but this one is in the new U Hill area and is really neat. My only suggestion to the business is having a way in the online ordering to sub an item (of same type/price) in a non-custom bowl like you can in person without having a charge.

Great spot if you're looking for healthier food options. They offer a variety of healthy options....salads, bowls and wraps. Prices are pretty decent and you get a lot of food. I decided to try the beef meatball bowl and it was very tasty. I wished it came with more than three meatballs.

We had eaten at another Happy + Hale before but not this new location in the U Hill area. We came on a Wednesday night with a special offer from a local dining club. They are like many other fast casual places that offer a variety of salads, bowls, breakfast items and beverages. Our server was very quick and efficient, and we got our quinoa bowl and protein bowl very quickly, plus cups for our fountain drinks. The food was delicious and filling, and their ice tea drinks are very unique (one had dragonfruit). Definitely had a good experience and glad that this location is closer to our house than the others.

The reviews were glowing, and repeatedly warned about the wait, that my expectations were probably set too high going in. I got the steak and eggs crepe and added avocado, extra steak, and kale. The eggs sit on top, and mine came closer to over-hard than the over-medium I asked for -possibly from sitting in the to-go box for 15 minutes, so I'll give some benefit of the doubt there. The crepe itself was tasty, and honestly I'd come back to try something off the sweets menu. But the fillings didn't land. The steak was a little chewy, and the mushrooms were cut too thick for a crepe -- they made it hard to cut cleanly and felt out of place. The add-ons I'll leave alone since those were my call. Overall the dish felt fairly run-of-the-mill against the hype. One note: this might be a dish better served by not allowing customizations, to keep it consistent to its intent. What threw me is that "steak and eggs" is the menu item, yet they also offer a carne asada crepe with no eggs ...so the only real difference is eggs placed on top, which doesn't change the crepe itself. Felt clear as mud after unboxing my meal. The latte I got was standard. Nothing wrong with it, nothing memorable. TL:DR this read as a solid fallback breakfast more than the must-try the reviews promised. The dogs I saw at the outside tables kept this closer to a 3.5 than falling on the other side of 3.

There is plenty of parking on the backside of the building, paid parking out front, and be careful not to park in the apartment spaces on the side...they sounded pretty serious about towing. I had made a reservation but it was probably unnecessary as it was pretty empty when we arrived (it was about 5pm on a Saturday.) The waitress brought a bottle of water to the table and took our drink order. And I know that this place is literally call it's a Southern thing but can I mention how much I dislike drinking out of mason jars? I ordered the chicken n biscuits, my husband got the country hamburger steak plate, my BiL got wings, and my SiL got the crabcakes. We also orders charred jalapeno & sweet corn hushpuppies and frickles as an appetizer. I was VERY excited about my food. Y'all...the only thing that impressed me were the Frickles. Everything else was distinctly underwhelming. I also ordered Blackberry Betta Have My Money which was not that great. My SiL ordered a espresso martini that they said didn't come from a mix but she said it tasted like it was. The bathrooms were very clean. The decor and the vibe were great. Cute even. I really enjoyed that part of it. After dropping off our food, we never saw our waitress again unless we flagged her down for drink refills. It was especially frustrating since there was automatic gratuity added. And since the place wasn't that busy, it felt like she didn't feel the need to earn her automatic tip. Overall I was disappointed in my birthday dinner. I won't be coming back here.
