It's spot in the city serving up delicious Mexican food and tasty margaritas. They have a full bar area, minimal outdoor seating and a varied menu. The Peach margarita was absolutely delicious and you could taste the peach(yummy) The beef Chimichanga was a great choice, flavored and well seasoned ground beef in a flour tortilla deep fried and smothered with cheese served with rice and beans. Husband had the Pollo Mas Tequila and gave it 5 stars, grilled chicken breast smothered with cheese served and chorizo served with rice and beans. I'm not sure how we have never been here! Our friend invited us out for drinks on a Friday and we ended up having dinner. We sat at the bar and had fantastic service all night, the bartender was so nice and helpful. I was SO impressed with the vegetarian menu. This is the first time I think I've ever seen the vegetarian options just as plentiful as the meat options without going to an actual vegetarian restaurant. It was amazing. My husband and I both got chimichangas - his with meat and mine filled with veggies. They were huge and super flavorful. The beans and rice were fantastic too. I tried them out last night with friends and holy moly taco joint!!!! AMAZING! This restaurant is nestled on a popular corner in soulard and while there isn't a great deal of space on the first floor (several 2/4 top tables and the bar) but the second floor has much more space for larger groups. You are quickly greeted when you walk in (we were by the bartender) and given a table. Our party started at 5 but quickly grew to ten with an out of town friend, but the restaurant was so accommodating and excited to have people come in on what seemed to be a slower day (they just opened in this location). On Tuesdays, street tacos are $3 and I will be back literally every tuesday. I have not had a street taco so packed full of flavor, with the two corn tortillas perfectly crispy in the right spots, the meat was so tender and falling apart, on top of the spicy taco sauce on the side! Holy moly. So so good. I also got the fajas fajitas but on top of nachos. I love that their fajitas come with queso (as I usually add it) and that the rice was SEASONED!! I have no complaints. My fav marg was the Traviesa, YUM.. but all the margs we had we loved (with an extra shot because the sweet and sour mix was a bit on the sweet side for my liking. I want to take the time to shout out Jose who was not just our server but was also the bartender! Came here with my boyfriend and some friends for a fun, casual night. The owner greeted us when we arrived. He was very welcoming and made us feel at home. He ended up being our server and was just so positive the whole night. We even learned that all the artwork and murals were painted by him, how cool! Arrived at 9:00 on a Friday night and only one person was handling all of the service - inside, outside and bartending. Took forever to place an order. We made the mistake of ordering the house margarita special for $4. Ended up ordering $10 tequila shots to make the margarita palatable. Food was just ok. Paid $8 for a side of rice and beans and $5 for chips and salsa (which didn't arrive until well after we received our food). I had a great experience here! On the corner, it is a bit dark with no notable sign. However, the inside was decorated and smelled delicious, when walking in. Sat at the bar and was served promptly. The cutest little place! Javi, the owner, was so nice and welcoming. So very friendly, the perfect lunch stop for taco Tuesday! They have $3 tacos specials on Tuesday which is a killer deal because that's almost half price! They had a DJ who was playing great music, albeit a little too loud. We started with chips and queso ($7.50) which were delicious. We also ordered a 22 oz mango margarita which was strong and yummy (~$15). I ordered the shrimp tacos ($16.50) which came with two small tacos and rice and beans. For the price, I wished the tacos were bigger or it came with one more. However, it was delicious!
