    Tacos!!!!?

Still my fav Mexican place in STL! Javier is the most amazing owner/host you could ask for. You feel the coolness of the place when you walk in. Which gives you a welcoming feeling. Then you see the wall of tequila, as you take your seat, and decide. The place has two levels, so you can have a party there. I'm pretty sure you would have to call for that. I had a Milagro Reposado to start. Then I had three tacos ($3 on Taco Tuesday) 2 carnitas, one carne asada. With a side of rice n beans. They use the best meats for there tacos! The little crispy skin on the carnitas, and the tenderness of the carne asada are so scrumptious! This is my Taco Tuesday spot!

I tried them out last night with friends and holy moly taco joint!!!! AMAZING! This restaurant is nestled on a popular corner in soulard and while there isn't a great deal of space on the first floor (several 2/4 top tables and the bar) but the second floor has much more space for larger groups. You are quickly greeted when you walk in (we were by the bartender) and given a table. Our party started at 5 but quickly grew to ten with an out of town friend, but the restaurant was so accommodating and excited to have people come in on what seemed to be a slower day (they just opened in this location). On Tuesdays, street tacos are $3 and I will be back literally every tuesday. I have not had a street taco so packed full of flavor, with the two corn tortillas perfectly crispy in the right spots, the meat was so tender and falling apart, on top of the spicy taco sauce on the side! Holy moly. So so good. I also got the fajas fajitas but on top of nachos. I love that their fajitas come with queso (as I usually add it) and that the rice was SEASONED!! I have no complaints. My fav marg was the Traviesa, YUM.. but all the margs we had we loved (with an extra shot because the sweet and sour mix was a bit on the sweet side for my liking. I want to take the time to shout out Jose who was not just our server but was also the bartender! He had so many roles yesterday but didn't let that stop him from being an absolute pleasure and making sure we were enjoying our time at the restaurant. Definitely recommend!! Get the carnitas and al pastor street tacos- you won't be disappointed!!

I came here while in search for a Mexican spot to celebrate #NationalTequilaDay and I was certainly not disappointed! There was an $8 house margarita special so I ordered the mango marg and it was perfect! I was pleasantly surprised by the size as well. I ordered an assortment of tacos (chicken, steak, and pastor) and doubled back on the steak. They were all good and only $5 each, but the steak was my favorite by far. The flavor, top notch! It's a smaller spot but they have an upstairs section as well with more seating. I was able to find free street parking easily and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient. I would definitely return!

We were excited to try Mas Tequilas after reading reviews but ended up really disappointed. Arrived at 9:00 on a Friday night and only one person was handling all of the service - inside, outside and bartending. Took forever to place an order. We made the mistake of ordering the house margarita special for $4. Ended up ordering $10 tequila shots to make the margarita palatable. Food was just ok. Paid $8 for a side of rice and beans and $5 for chips and salsa (which didn't arrive until well after we received our food). We sat on the patio which could have been nice but all of the empty tables were covered with dirty dishes because no one bothered to clear the tables. Not planning to go back.

I had a great experience here! On the corner, it is a bit dark with no notable sign. However, the inside was decorated and smelled delicious, when walking in. Sat at the bar and was served promptly. Chips and salsa were not complementary. Food came out quickly and was steaming hot!! Fajitas are my go-to and these were good not great, a bit under seasoned like the salsa. Though my friend highly enjoyed his tacos. I would come again to try something new as well as experience the wonderful staff here at Mas Taquilas!!!

The cutest little place! Javi, the owner, was so nice and welcoming. So very friendly, the perfect lunch stop for taco Tuesday! They have $3 tacos specials on Tuesday which is a killer deal because that's almost half price! We got two orders of nachos as well, one with ground beef, and one with marinated chicken because we just couldn't decide which to get. Both were delicious! We ate every bit. I recommend the Pastor tacos or the guacataco!

We came here for a friends birthday, and the food was pretty standard for STL Hispanic. I'm from Texas originally and wasn't really all that impressed with the food itself, but it got the job done. There is space both down and upstairs, and parking is on the street. We ended up getting the margaritas, but apparently you can purchase a giant vat of margarita for the table. Definitely looked big enough for 5-6 people. All in all, pretty average night & experience

The parking lot had spaces available. We walked in and there was an event space on the right and a large sofa and chairs against the back wall. Signs indicated where to go for Bellwether so we went around the windows showing the climbing wall to the elevator. Upstairs we were greeted promptly and asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. We opted for inside and she led us down one level to the second floor. I think the building is really cool, and the restaurant is well appointed, exposed brick, cool lantern hanging lamps, bookshelves filled with books and odds and ends, Waitress was friendly, there were only a couple of tables on the floor, but she wasn't intrusive and let us take out time. It filled up more by the time we left. The menu had several things I wanted to order but ended up deciding on the breakfast fried rice. We also ordered the cinnamon roll for the table. Coffee was hot and kept refilled, but it was just ok. The cinnamon roll was tasty. The fried rice was great and the fried egg on top was well cooked and tasty. One of our party ordered a side of sausage, it was four links and they were good, another ordered the pork belly sandwich and that was one of my other choices, I tried it and was impressed! I thought it would be too sweet, but it was perfect. Viewing the pictures of dinner, can't wait to go back for that and sitting outside!

These are not bartenders -- these are mixologists. Every drink was balanced, strong (in a good way), and thoughtfully made.
