I had high hopes for this place, but I was uncertain how I would feel after it opened. We recently took some family members to try to the food and... Man, did Masa show up! First of all, the ambiance of the restaurant is outstanding. It feels like an upscale spot, very modern and stylish. The lighting, bar area, and seating are well suited for the type of food served. We were all pleasantly surprised by the flavor of the food. The chips, salsa, and guacamole were AMAZING. I prefer to have more mild salsa, but the poblano spices were a nice surprise. The guacamole was fresh and had a powerful flavor. It's some of the best I have had in a long, long time. The Mexican street corn was a delicious addition to the meal and was only enhanced by the lime on the side. I had the carne asada burrito bowl. Wow, wow, wow. "Fresh" is the best word I can think to describe the experience. The bowl was so much more than I expected. The meat was cooked but not dry and the crema wasn't overpowering as it sometimes can be in a Mexican dish. While there wasn't a kids menu, we ordered a cheese quesadilla. It was pricey for the basic quesadilla that we received, but I think the high quality ingredients were likely a contributing factor in the price. The initial price tag on the menu items was a shocker, but it's no more than a meal at Chipotle. After the meal we had, I would 100% return. Overpriced. The inside is nice and restrooms are clean. BUT the tacos taste a little weird. I'm not sure if it's the sauce or something. The meat is chewy and sometimes the tortillas are tough to chew. The queso is okay. But almost $4 for a single chewy taco isn't worth it. I'll take my coins to taco bell. The horchata is watered down and flavorless. The burrito I had was disgusting and full of black beans with no sign of chicken in sight. The workers are nice though. read more

In a strip mall in camden, this place seems fancier and hipper than its surroundings. It's dimly lit with trendy decor, and a bunch of locally crafted beer. This time I had a carne asada bowl, and it was delicious. I've had the tacos before, and they were good, too, If a bit smaller than I'd expected. There is a pretty bar at the front, and booths and communal high top tables in the back. I've only ever been by myself, but If I went with a friend, I'd probably order one of their "snacks," too, like the chips & guacamole. I'm sure I'll be back! read more

Not impressed, especially for the price. The restaurant was really clean, had an upscale feel & a fancy bar with some really terrific friendly staff. But the food was less tasty, much smaller portioned & more expensive than what I can get at Moe's. I got 2 tiny street tacos, a drink & an order of chips with queso (which was about 15-20 chips & a tiny bowl with barely enough cheese to get through about 2/3 the chips, no salsa) & it was almost $18 before the tip. The great staff really pulled the star rating up to where it is. Heard good things, kinda disappointed after driving 35 min to try it. read more

We were attracted by "street food". Taco is really small and overpriced. I didn't feel full after three tacos. The taste is just ok, nothing special,same as quesadilla. You need pay right after you ordered. And also the tips will show on the screen. You will give tips before you got service. Honestly we did not get refill or any service during meal. Although the food was excellent, I feel that it was extremely overpriced. $11 for a burrito seems a bit steep when you don't get anything to accompany the meal. It would have been nice to have some rice or refried beans. Also at many Mexican restaurants chips and salsa are complimentary, however here you have to pay and the portion size is for one. My latest bad habit! I love this place. I eat from here at least once a week or more. The food is fresh, flavorful, and at least in my Gringo mind, authentic. The Guacamole is the best I've ever had, and the portion is more generous than what anybody else in this space offers. The tamales and sauce are perfection. I usually get an order of chips and guac with either a tamale, a burrito, or maybe a couple of tacos. I have only had lunch there. As I wait for my takeout I have often sat at the bar and admired the carefully curated selection of spirits. I think I will have to go eat inside one day and enjoy a libation or two.
