I can count on one hand how many times I have made a negative post such as the one ahead, but the situation my wife was in this morning is the type that I cannot be quiet about. This morning, while at Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips, my wife, our barely 2 year old son and a friend were told by who I assume to be one of the owners, that if she was not able to "quiet" my child down, she would have to "take him outside" for fear that he make start to "rile other kids that were there up, and we can't have that". My son, who, again is barely 2, sat in his high chair the entire time, threw not one piece of food on the ground, and sat as politely as a 2 year old could, occasionally cheering "YEAHH" whenever our friend or my wife did something he found entertaining. YES his voice was elevated the few times he cheered, YES there were SIX other children of varying ages in the restaurant all making noises (as all children do), YES it is a very casual restaurant serving breakfast and lunch, and YES there was a grown man sitting at a table near them talking on the phone, on speaker I will point out, for several minutes. So to say that both her and our friend were shocked would be the understatement of the year. We have visited this restaurant on countless occasions, with friends, with my wife, with my children, purchased freezer meals from them, done our parts of supporting a small local business, all to be told to quiet our child down who was making far less noise than many other people were in this restaurant. My wife spent most of her young adult and adult career working in and managing numerous successful restaurants spanning an almost 11 year period. I am appalled, disgusted, and saddened at this clear lack of compassion, professionalism, and customer service. And we wonder why moms are fearful to take their children out in public these days. We will unfortunately not return to Momma Rabbits, ever. read more

With the addition of putting real butter and organic maple syrup on it, the combination tasted very good. The staff were also very nice and they even offered an extra side with our meal . I chose to order the side of hash browns which turned out to be delicious. My dad had the German pancakes which were protein packed with eggs and were so he good that he hopes to someday order them again. This spring forward vibrant restaurant had excellent friendly staff. Perfectly cooked food. And things I have never tried before. The bunny tails are amazing (pancake like bites to dip in a sweet sauce) they are lightly crisp on the outside but fluffy and airy on the inside. I also tried a special called island time soo good. The food is fresh and is made with TLC. This is a great girls day place lots of salads on the menu or great for brunch on weekends. Been by this place all the time, but never stopped in. Today, a brunch was needed, and man, it was so good. We were able to sit outside in the shade on an August day, and it was cool, and I know not the norm. Our waiter was amazing and was so fun to talk with. They also had GF bread, which made the meal even more amazing. The owner was there and came and asked how we were and about the food. IT was so good, the inside is full of bunnies and nice and welcoming. The son was there and was nice to talk to. Finding another homeschool family is always something that is a treat. Our server during lunch was super nice, and knew the menu to make suggestions when I ordered "the Trifecta" which was chicken salad, pimento cheese, and she suggested the hummus over the egg salad. Everything about this restaurant is great. We were there for brunch and had Just a Wowie. The French toast had a delicate orange flavor that was set off perfectly by the lime dipping sauce. The bacon was crisp and delicious. The cinnamon roll was generously iced and soft, gooey and yummy. Sam, our server, was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious - they have a lot of different specials that they rotate and have a lot of different mimosa choices. Came for lunch with coworkers on a Thursday. It's located in a strip mall set up with other businesses sharing the parking. The place was pretty spacious with 2 sides and a shopping display. The ambiance is nice and gives home feels. The service just meet standards. We had to consistently ask our waiter for refills and napkins after waiting for him to take the initiative. I ordered the chicken pot pie 2/5. I'm use to pie like crust and this had more of a thick bread crust. It also lacked flavor and was loaded with peas and carrots. We also shared the pimento cheese 4/5 and raspberry flatbread (very distinct dish) 3/5. If I was to go back for lunch I would def try a sandwich as most of my group was satisfied with their picks. That doesn't bother me at all but if that raises your hackles you will want to give this place a pass. Again, food is amazing and it is very fairly priced too. Our lunch group returned here yesterday. We'd been once before and it was a favorite amongst our group. Had six of us. We were promptly waited on and our drink orders were taken. I had a bowl of clam chowder and a half salad, one other ordered the Shrimp Po'Boy, and I think we had an order for a salad and a couple of sandwiches. Everyone really liked the food. The Po'Boy apparently was different that any Po' Boy he'd had, since it had chopped green and red peppers and provolone cheese. Wow! Rolling from southwest GA to Maryland and wanted something other than fast food for midday meal. Yelp search terms for food and wheelchair accessible led me a dozen options in Lexington, SC. The name "Momma Rabbit's Nibbles and Sips" was appealing, and the good Yelp ratings made the decision to head there a simple one. And wow... so glad we did. Yes - wheelchair accessible little place tucked into a small strip mall. Indoor and outdoor seating. Clean. Clever. Comfort table. And very creative -- the menu options, the ambience, the everything! The service was excellent. Friendly. Patient. Helpful. The food was off the chart excellent. Delicious. Healthy. Ample servings and variety. And I say again -- delicious! We shared the Trifecta - choosing guac and chicken salad - both excellent, and pimento cheese - good, which were all served on lettuce with fresh chips and pita wedges. Could have used a few more of the chips and pita, but not complaining. We also shared the raspberry basil flatbread - which alone was worth the stop - want more more more of this thin crusted tasty offering, and we shared the tacos - good but nothing compared to the flatbread, and the Duke salad - fresh and plentiful. We topped the meal off with mimosa treats... who woulda thunk there could be a whole mimosa section on the specialty drink menu... yes! Each unique and enjoyable. Prices are fair for the quality and portion size. Food is fresh and hot or crispy or chilled or whatever it is supposed to be - perfectly. Service, again, above and beyond excellent.
