I have had the opportunity to use her for 2 very different issues. I had a hyperstrained muscle in my back which radiated through my chest and it felt like a heart problem. Even a trip to the emergency room yielded no positive results. In my appointment with Dr Cruz, she located the source of the pain, and gave me an injection into the problem muscle. It immediately relaxed and the entirety of the pain and discomfort were gone within 10 minutes total. A miracle in my mind. My second issue was 2 years later as I was experiencing pain with what is normally associated with sciatica caused by lower back issues. After 2 1/2 months of therapy from a chiropractor in which things were only getting worse, I made an appointment with Dr Cruz. She located the source of the pain. She developed a non-surgical treatment plan which involved a non-invasive radio frequency procedure. One treatment and I felt all pain disappear. Another miracle in my opinion. Dr Cruz is a wonderful doctor. She is cordial and professional, and she listens intently while you explain what you see as the source of your pain. She branched out on her own and opened Adavanced Physical Medicine Spine & Joint Center. The office is located in the plaza on the west side of the intersection of Alt 19 & Alderman in Palm Harbor. The plaza is located just south of Fairway Pizza on Alt 19. Dr Cruz gets my highest of recommendations. You will get personalized focused attention from her. She also speaks fluent spanish which is a big plus if you communicate best using spanish.

Billing…read moreagent at the practice told me that she couldn't see where they had sent me any previous emails either. So I paid that bill with a different credit card than the one on file. I thought at that point it was over. Nope a few days later they charge me again on the previous credit card that I had used. Without authorization. The billing department has both people out now so I can't even talk to anyone about the issue. Now, while waiting for one of them to get back in the office... I just received another email saying my payment is due. Be very careful with billing this practice has issues with it.

The surgery went very well and aftercare was excellent. If you're looking for a awesome orthopedic surgeon, this is your guy. He is very caring and very thorough when explaining the surgery and aftercare I went home the same day of my surgery and he is so patient and kind I just can't praise him enough. He did an excellent job on my shoulder. He has great people working on his staff, and I would recommend Dr Williams to anyone looking for this awesome doctor.

Unfortunately, he has shown a huge decline in his performance and would seek elsewhere for surgery, moving forward. I've lost trust in him as a surgeon. After seeing that he has had 3 arrests since January 2021, and 2 of them are DUI's, it's very concerning! Evidently, he was convicted of his last DUI in August 2025, with property damage. I would NEVER be able trust this surgeon to operate on me again, after seeing his mugshot online. I would be hard-pressed to have him come near me, if he was drunk or hungover, while holding a scalpel in his hand. I was devastated to see a once reputable surgeon fall of the wagon. Stay clear!
