Mashy was friendly and her salon is cute and clean. I found her through Groupon and went in for a Brazilian. It was very painful, as a previous review said. More painful than other brazilian waxing experiences I have had in the past. I think that her salon maybe specializes in other services more than the Brazilians. We ended up stopping before completing the full area because I was ready to stop anyway, it hurt far too much to keep going; and I'm pretty familiar with these and not really a super sensitive-to-pain person. I think it just wasn't her specialty since they provide a lot of other services. I came to Mashy on a trusted friend's referral about 6 months ago and she did not disappoint! I only come here now for waxing. She is super affordable, so upkeep is no problem. Mashy is quick and thorough. She pays extra attention to anything you ask for specifically. Love our conversations (no awkwardness) and she is sincerely one of the sweetest women I've ever met! I just had a Brazilian wax here. I have had them before a couple times. It wasn't any more painful than previously and the products seemed like the same kind of products that were used at other places. Technique seemed good. Mashy is a phenomenal human being from the inside out. Being an esthetician is her way of helping others. This is not just a job for her - it's her passion in life and she does it extremely well. Both men and women can feel very comfortable in coming to her. She is extremely professional, yet supremely caring and compassionate about each and every client she serves. I have been a client of hers for about fourteen months, and have never been happier. I was extremely self conscious about coming to see her at first, because I have Multiple Sclerosis. I wanted to get the waxing to keep my appearance at it's best. She put me at ease right away. The waxing did not hurt in the very least, even the Brazilian. Mashy is very open minded in that she doesn't care what walk of life you come from. She treats everyone with the respect and dignity in which she would be wanted to be treated in return. Mashy gladly takes appointments for men. women, and children alike. Her goal is to make their appointment as enjoyable and as relaxing as possible. The ladies in the salon are super sweet and warmly welcoming of all their clients. The rooms for the waxing are very private and you can feel very secure that no one will accidentally walk in and suddenly see you. Everything is thoroughly sanitized and cleaned, meaning all instruments and the salon itself. I am always getting complements on my appearance, and I credit it to Mashy. She helps me to feel better about myself. It shows how deeply she cares about her clients when you come in and see her. Mashy's reflexology is a clear winner. It's a 45 minute massage that is to die for. She can tell just by massaging your feet what your stress points are. When she was doing mine one time, she knew I had problems with my balance without even asking me beforehand. If you have a physical disability and don't have the mobility to do certain things like shave your legs, underarms, or face, Mashy can take care of that through waxing or threading. It's all totally pain free. In that aspect she's been an absolute lifesaver for me. One can feel comfortable in enlisting the help of her professional skincare services. Mashy offers facials that are incredible. I had one and fell asleep on the table. Mashy just let me take a nap because I was so relaxed - lol! I wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone wanting a kind, caring, and compassionate esthetician who will professionally perform the waxing or facial service you want. I jokingly told her one time that if she were to ever move back to Iran, that she would have a line of clients lined up at DFW airport going there to seek out her services. She's that good at what she does. She's very open minded and accepting of all people no matter what their religion, race, sexual preference, disability, etc etc. I am not a spokesperson for Mashy. Mashy's Salon is a true hidden gem!! The owner Mashy is so delightful and has the best attitude. She is very funny and truly make you feel like she values your business and you as a customer. I always get a Brazilian wax and eyebrows done. But wait.....she does more!! She also does nails, and doesn't use a lot of unnecessary chemicals. The way nails use to be done before powder and acrylic. She also offers reflexology and detox which will give you a lot of insight into different things that may be going on with your body. My appt was at 3:00, I was a few minutes early. She told me she was a few min behind.... I waited 20 min past my scheduled time, finally left. I understand waiting up to 10 -15 min even, we all get behind from time to time, but 20 min and still no indication of when she'd be starting my appt? I work 3 jobs, my free time is precious. Nice salon and service! I discovered Mashy's via Groupon, and also noticed that their home website also posts special deals. I like that the Mashy's Salon stylists and aestheticians have their own personal spaces to work their magic so customers can relax behind closed doors. Every part of this cozy salon is nice, clean and comfortable. Upon walking in, the staff greets you like family. Mashy is especially friendly and welcoming. I came in for a wax and threading; she's a pro at threading--very meticulous. However, she uses the strip hot wax, which tends to be painful for the sensitive parts. Mashy does a great job keeping you distracted through the brazilians, but it still hurts like heck, and tends to miss a few spots.Great salon that's been around for a long time; I have not seen an unhappy customer at Mashy's. First off, let me start by saying I have been getting Brazilian waxes since I was 18 years old. I'm now 27. And I have gone to at least 5 different locations over the years. THIS WAS THE WORST WAX EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE!!! Pro: quick Con: didn't wear gloves, went over the same areas multiple times (Very painful) with strips- not a hard wax, which left me BLEEDING in small dots!!! & at the end, without gloves on, she applied a very thick amount of lotion!!! Not a cooling gel or anti-bump/ ingrown hair solution... LOTION!! It was so much I couldn't even put my underwear back on. I had to pull my dress down, stuff my undies in my bra and wobble out of there with goop between my legs! Not a fun experience AT ALL!!! I was in so much pain for hours after leaving the shop. On top of that, I am pregnant. So I was extra uncomfortable. Needless to say, I left my tip and vowed to never return again. And to make sure to write a review! Other women should stay CLEAR of this place. I promise you there are places in the area that are MUCH better!! Try Depil Brazil! That was my normal place but I tried this one on a Groupon. Being trained in France and Germany as well as the US, she searches the world for the best products and really knows what works and what doesn't. As far as customer service goes, this lady was sweet as pie. As far as service goes, I can only give one star. I've had many brazilians done and never this poor of quality. I know what to expect so pain is without a doubt going to be there but after this job, I cannot walk, nor wear anything touching me at all, it's excruciating. The owner looked at me as if I was walking in to a Beverly Hills salon which was far from it lacking the customer service and how rude she was.
