I work with a lot of contractors, trades and subcontractors, and I put Masing Construction at the top. They have a great office manager, who handles all calls and schedules all appointments. They are detailed in their bids, and very fair in their pricing. They follow up timely. Most importantly, they do very high quality work. I usually hesitate recommending a contractor, because it's a tough business and I've been burned by making recommendations that didn't work out. Our contractor used some of their people for our remodel. The first guy he brought out was completely incompetent and we had tell him to leave. The 2nd guy worked on several things but none were repaired properly. They both had Masing Construction shirts on their backs. Not very impressed. My rental property had water damage from rain. 3 separate contractors came and looked at the issue and mis-diagnosed that the walkway needed to be ripped up and replaced to allow for proper drainage at a cost of $10,000-$15,000. When Boyd came out, he took one look at the situation and quickly identified that the water damage had nothing to do with the walkway. The problem was a faulty front window letting in rainwater. Boyd tested his theory with a hose and was exactly right! Boyd and his crew replaced the window and also refurbished the interior of the house with laminent flooring, moldings, drywall, paint, countertops, ceiling fans and lighting. The work was done at very competitive pricing and within just a couple weeks. Based on my experience, I would highly recommend Masing Construction! read more

We were introduced to Boyd last year as someone that could finish our final bathroom. Our final bathroom was a bit confusing to us on how to complete it and the direction to go. Boyd and his team came up with a plan and proposal that was extremely good. We competitively shopped around and Boyd wasnt the cheapest but was definitely the most thorough. Enough for us to know from previous contractors that we got a much more detailed breakdown, and likely realistic. We also knew people whom spoke highly of Boyd so we opt'd to go with them. Best Decision we made. They were always on time. They cleaned up after themselves every day. They bought very good idea's which we went with in our design and we have a gorgeous bathroom. Due to a water leak in my kitchen slab, I had wallboard removed in my kitchen as well as a floor to ceiling pantry taken completely apart and placed in my entryway. I hired Masing Construction to put my kitchen back together. They replaced all the wallboard, completely reconstructed my pantry and replaced some floor tiles. My pantry was missing an end panel and they were even able to match the color almost perfectly. They were great about keeping me informed. All the workers they sent were timely and did an excellent job. I am so pleased and would highly recommend them. read more

They redid my kitchen, which was a hassle in itself, but it does look great in the end- except the electric breakers keep going out- which is their fault. The reason they get 1 star is the way I was treated. 1- Being a female, they were very condescending to me, and treated me like I was stupid. 2- They kept adding more onto the bill. 3- I had MAJOR issues with their electrician that they used. This electrician was only supposed to wire the kitchen area and another room behind the kitchen. Also kitchens are supposed to be on a completely separate breaker from the rest of the house. He didn't install things properly, was brought back to fix some issues, and when he did- he was annoyed, rude and in a hurry. So what happened? Now my kitchen wiring that was separated- is NOT separated so when I run certain appliances and have the lights on in the family room and tv- the circuit blows. This happens all the time- very frustrating. Boyd came out to inspect it- and immediately said- "We didn't do this, it wasn't my guy," when I have documentation that shows what day his guy was there and indeed it WAS his guy. What happens when we call his electrician on the phone? Well the electrician talked over me, wouldn't hear what was going on, then hung up the call. Boyd refuses to fix this issue. We spent over $25,000 on the kitchen remodel,but of course he's already been paid and they won't fix it so the circuits are separated. REALLY? 4- They absolutely won't resolve any issues after you've paid them in full- GOOD LUCK with that. I am absolutely HORRIFIED at the way I was treated, and their customer service is disgusting. What kind of "Professional" comes in a house and says immediately without even looking at the circuit box- "We didn't do this?" Then to have his electrician hang up the phone on us in mud sentence is totally unprofessional. He never even took a look at the breaker box either. Im left to deal with this on my own- really? Speaking for all the women out there- BEWARE of this company! read more

I can't say enough great things about Masing construction. All of their guys were professional, diligent, and did a thorough, complete job. What was initially supposed to be a quick, easy job grew into a far more complex repair, due to some unforeseen elements of a prior renovation. Masing handled the unforeseen elements in an incredibly professional manner. Masing installed headers, did stucco work (which matches perfectly), drywall work, window replacement, plumbing, and electrical work. The job site was cleaned daily, and we were left with as minimal an interruption as possible.
