"Amazing Smiles Dental" -- Yeah, amazing all right…read more Why do 8 fillings on a 24-year-old when two other dentists said he only needed 4? Did the drill slip or did the greed kick in? They went so deep you'd think they were mining for Bitcoin. Now the poor kid's gonna need crowns every decade -- at a grand a pop. That's like a subscription plan for dental trauma. By the time he's 80, he'll have spent enough to open his own clinic -- which, ironically, would be less painful. Oh, and guess what? The patient had Medicare. Translation: "Cha-ching! The government's buying!" And here's the kicker: the poor kid can't even enjoy ice cream or cold water anymore. The sensitivity's so bad, his teeth scream louder than Sam Kennison. Ice water? Forget it -- that's a luxury item now. Amazing Smiles? More like "Amazingly Expensive Smiles."

I did have a little wait - prob 20 mins past my appointment time. All of the dental hygiene staff in the back were nice. I told them I was anxious and they assured me I'd be okay. Dr. Hassan told me he would make sure I didn't feel too much pain and was patient with me when I was ready to get the numbing shot in my mouth. But he def made sure I was comfortable and okay. They do see a lot of patients but I didn't feel like my treatment was rushed. They put the white fillings where my old silver ones were and my teeth look great. I'll be back for cleanings and treatments in the future!

It's hard to find a Dentist practice that will take your insurance as well as providing a…read morecomfortable place for dental work. After searching for a dentist in the Mason, OH-Mainville, OH area, I found that this practice has a lot of great dentist. The front desk staff are always very friendly, they explain all of your benefits from your insurance plan, and they always ask if you need detailed receipts for your HSA plan. Also, after initial consultation, they print you a summary of work needing performed and costs of each service before and after insurance has been applied, so you can plan out the dental work that you can afford. I didn't have the most knowledge on each dentist, so I didn't have a preference when I scheduled my first appointment. I was given Dr. Gene Schlank. He is a very skilled dentist that used to teach Dental Medicine at the University of Maryland. I explained my issues and the suggestion from another dentist in the area trying to push gum grafting on me. Dr Schlank explained that it's easy to suggest this procedure if you don't really look into why the gums are receding. Instead of gum grafting, he suggested a bite guard after letting him know that I do grind my teeth, which is a primary cause of gum recession. This was a lot cheaper than having gum grafting. I value his opinions because he's not just trying to push unnecessary procedures just to get money. He explains everything he's doing in my mouth before it happens so I'm not surprised. I highly recommend this place and especially Dr. Schlank!

I went here as a child, so my experience up close was not pleasant at all. It was a nightmare…read more I was afraid of this man every time I went in because he would threaten to send my mom out of the room when I would refuse to stop squirming in the chair or crying. That would get me to stop only for a couple of seconds when he would intentionally jam a sharp tool into my gums to hurt me. My mom didn't see it at the time because she thought it was just a normal thing to be scared about the dentist. I don't blame her at all. But the one day we came in - Dr. Gordon pushed too far and hurt me to the extent of me taking on about 5-6 of his assistants to hold me down so he could get some 'work' done. And yes, I have read the reviews. I can confirm that he himself or his assistant has forcefully held a kids head in place to perform dental work. Because it happened to me as well under his care. His behavior all around was creepy and pretty sure he took some sick pleasure in hurting kids and watching them cry. And the place was constantly dirty and smelt like fluoride, teeth dust, and used gloves. I felt sick every time I went in. I feel bad for all the kids that were there when I came in to have some work done because all I could hear was screaming and crying. This man should have lost his license years ago when started abusing children like this. I'm glad it closed. I would give this 0 stars, but I'll have to give it a 1.

We were at the office for two hours just for a cleaning which is completely ridiculous. 2. The office was cramped and they had more patients than they could actually see. Dr. Gordon doesn't even have a hygienist so we had to wait until he was done. 3. He said my daughter needed two filling, and stainless steel crown, and a pulptomy and thank god my mom is an EFDA and told me to get a second opinion because all she really needed was two fillings. He was going to do things that didn't need to be done just to make extra money from me. NO THANKS. We will not be going back.
