5/5 for Mikes honesty and professionalism…read more I had a moisture problem behind a corner in my basement so I called Arid and spoke with Mike. He came out and took a look at let me know that my particular situation didn't require his services, but he did let me know exactly what needed to be done to solve the problem. I don't know anything about this sort of stuff so he could have easily taken advantage of my ignorance. If I ever do have another problem, Mike will be my first call, and I would recommend him to anyone else who asks.

Then he recommended a plumber (Mazzone) that would fix one facet of the whole issue. After the owner of the plumbing company came out and fixed what he needed to quickly and at a very reasonable price the worker from Arid came out to view the final phase of my problem. Patrick (the owner) gave me an appointment for his workers to install a sump pump. The first pictures are of the check valve portion of the project. The second picture is an extension installed by Mazzone to my check valve two feet below my basement floor. The third set of pictures are from the completed job by Arid. The workers from Arid were very polite and worked quickly and very effectively with a great deal of carefulness for my home and living spaces. I completely recommend both these companies for any waterproofing projects you may find that you need.

I reached out to Valerio from Jersey Pride after spending the whole day ripping out my basement…read morefloors due to water seepage problems. Despite having a French drain and sump pump, it was all improperly done many years ago. I received 4 quotes, including Jersey Pride. Valerio was the only one to do an in-depth assessment of my issue and explain to me exactly what was causing me these water problems. He was the only one to bring a water meter to find where the water issues were and what parts of the basement we could salvage because they tested dry. All other three quotes were from companies that just took a quick glance at the basement, recommended redoing the entire perimeter, and threw out some astronomical amounts in the tens of thousands (it's a small basement). The honest and more than fair pricing from Jersey Pride shocked me after having recieved the other big quotes but Valerio really earned my trust by the way he conducted himself and his work spoke for itself. They fit me in the same week they came out to give me a quote and did a beautiful, clean job with the French drains and sump pump. They helped me redirect where the sump pump drainage was going, replaced my sump pump and basin and I even used them build a concrete pathway to my studio so I wouldn't have to walk through mud and water to get there. Even with all the additional items, I still paid less than what I was quoted by others JUST for the French drains. This last rain storm completely flooded my yard but I was pleased to see the sump pump and drainage working smoothly and the basement completely dry. Trust me when I say, there are no better waterproofers and masons that give you masterful work for incredible prices. Go with Jersey Pride. I will be using them for a drywell and any other projects that may arise

NJ Pride Waterproofing I had a water problem in my basement…read morefor two months, which was getting progressively worse by the day, especially after heavy rain. I called several waterproofing companies for an estimate. Several never returned my phone call, one company that came, gave me a very high estimate. I then called NJ Pride Waterproofing and within a few hours one of the owners called to say he would be over that same day to give me an estimate. Valeriaro arrived that afternoon and the estimate was thousands less than the previous company. Valeriaro explained, in detail, what had to be done. The work was completed in three days and we are very happy with the results and the care that was put into the project. Valeriaro and Pete did a great job and took extra care with getting things back to perfect condition. They also give you a lifetime guarantee on their workmanship.I highly recommend NJ Pride Waterproofing if you have any water issues in your home.

Their pricing was similar to the competitors, but what set them apart was that they offered unlimited pier depth per section. Other companies had limits--for example, up to 20 feet, then an additional charge per foot after that. I'm glad I went with Groundworks because several of my piers ended up going 90 feet deep across 16 sections. With another company, that could have cost me significantly more. I also had their gutter guard system installed (similar to a French drain, though they claim it's better), along with a vapor barrier and mold treatment. I will say, if you have a serious mold issue, I'd recommend hiring a dedicated mold remediation company instead. I did have an issue with the mold spray, but after calling a couple of times, I was able to speak with a manager who surprisingly took my concerns seriously and resolved the issue. The salesman who came to my house, Randy S., was excellent--very thorough and knowledgeable. He always answered my calls and would text be back in a reasonable timeframe. One thing I didn't like was the same-day discount tactic. They present you with a price, then offer 10% off (or whatever discount they choose) if you sign that day. It puts pressure on you to make a major decision on the spot, which is difficult when you're spending over $50,000. There is a three-day cancellation window, but some people may see the discount as more of a sales tactic than a real benefit. I also want to mention the foreman on the job, Jose G. He was great--he answered all of my questions and even let me watch and learn a little while they were working. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience. Their warranty is transferable, which is a nice bonus, and hopefully I won't have any more issues going forward.

Can I be a waterproof specialist? I doubt it but I am much more educated on the matter. Prices are very good and transparent at all levels. Proposals are easy to understand and no reading small print, because there are none. The owner Steve will match competitor pricing if lower than what Blue Umbrella offers. A crew of four came. Jose, foreman, did a great job! He was responsible and the crew were timely. Jose even helped me reinstall the dehumidifier to the new sump pump area. They took away all the garbage too! The crew had two large trucks and seemed to have everything down to a science. One truck replaces the other once all the dirt from the basement gets loaded. My job was finished in two days because I needed additional work but this was explained to me and I had agreed to the extra service and charge. Knowing in advance is a good thing! Steve, the owner, came out to meet the me on day one. It was nice of him to come out and meet his client. After having a conversation earlier in the week, I can say Steve is very feisty and passionate about his company. During the early stages, Marvin made sure to show me an additional footer ledge was needed and I wasn't charge for something made up. Everything overt! No surprises or hidden wallet breakers! At the end of the job, a customer appreciation care box came to my attention! This review will keep Blue Umbrella's five star record on track! Great to help local businesses! He brought out a small model to explain how a sump pump works, and how it relates to the home's original foundation drain, cement foundation slab, cinder blocks, etc. He was also patient with me as I asked MANY questions (especially straightening out the false information I received from the previous "hard sell" inspector from a different company). Now I want Luis to be here to provide better explanations for my plumbing, A/C, and other house repair issues! :) Thanks Blue Umbrella!
