And, wouldn't you know it, making an appointment to see Lucy was to guarantee Jennifer would be waiting for me. Wouldn't you know it, I arrive and who is waiting for me at the bottom of the stairs? Jennifer. Due to the stiffness in my back and the tightness of my leg muscles, I had a real difficult time negotiating the stairs. As I was making my way down the stairs, I made a mental note to self to make sure Jennifer spent extra time on my calf, thigh and back muscles followed by some mild stretching to make sure my muscles were relaxed enough to climb back up those formidable stairs once the massage was over. Once Jennifer began, the tightness slowly ebbed as she worked out knot after knot until my entire body felt renewed and rejuvenated. For a while, I was going to make seeing Lucy my quest. Unfortunately, the experience after the massage was very disappointing. When I went to check out, the front desk tried to charge me $125 as a non-member, even though I had an active membership. As it was later explained by the manager, there was confusion in their system due to multiple accounts connected to my name. However, the main issue was not the system itself, but the fact that the front desk associate did not seem to understand how the membership pricing works. I explained that members receive one service credit per billing cycle and can purchase additional massages at the member rate (around $85). The associate insisted that this was not the case and continued to show me the computer screen indicating the higher non-member price. I spent about 15 minutes trying to resolve the situation. During that time I asked if I could speak with a manager, but I was told the manager was not working that day and there was no way to contact them. Eventually the team figured out the account confusion and charged me the correct member rate. That part was resolved, which I appreciate. However, the follow-up communication from management was even more disappointing. Instead of focusing on the issue and acknowledging the inconvenience, the manager focused on trying to point out inaccuracies in my review. For example, I originally estimated that the situation took around 30 minutes. The manager later replied that, according to their camera footage, it was about 15 minutes. Whether it was 15 or 30 minutes does not change the fact that a customer had to spend time resolving a pricing mistake after a massage. The manager also suggested that I had spoken rudely to the front desk associate. That was simply not true. I never raised my voice or used any inappropriate language. English is not my first language, but I remained calm throughout the conversation. I even recorded the interaction. Another surprising point was the mention that I did not leave a tip. While tipping is common in the service industry, it is not mandatory in New Jersey. Considering the situation where I was initially being charged the wrong price, it felt strange to have that brought up afterward. What disappointed me the most was the overall approach to resolving the issue. Instead of focusing on how to address the customer's frustration or retain the client, the discussion seemed focused on proving that the customer was wrong. To be fair, the therapist did a great job and the massage itself was very good. But the checkout experience and the way the situation was handled afterward left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, based on this experience, I would not recommend this location.

The girls at the front desk were super sweet and gave me the rundown about the spa's layout and etiquette. Check-in was super simple. You walk in, ask for a day pass, make reservations for additional services if you want (I recommend reserving at least a week earlier to get your preferred time), and they give you your wristband and lounge attire/towel. The women's locker rooms and bath area were pretty clean and very spacious. You don't need to bring very many toiletries, as they have large dispensers of lotion in the locker room area and shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower area. They have hair dryers for use and lots of outlets in the vanity area in case you want to bring other styling tools of your own. I started off with a 30 min Quick Fix Facial and was serviced by Ellie (10/10 recommend). It was super relaxing and we made small talk about skincare based on my concerns. She was super nice and very professional. After I left my skin was glowing! I then headed to the juice bar and got an iced matcha latte (also super good) and relaxed by the lounge area with my laptop before I had my next service. It wasn't too loud, and there's free wifi, so you can get some work done, watch a show, or read a little. Keep in mind the lounge area is an open space connected with the juice bar and food court, so it's not library quiet. That being said, people aren't yelling, and nobody was playing their online media out loud, so it's easy to tune out all the white noise. I then got a 30 min Swedish Massage by Andy, which was more than satisfactory. I was worried about the massage being too rough, but he did everything just right. Only during a few second-long periods did it feel a bit heavier, but I knew he was working out a knot. Even then, it was not bad, and I was glad to know he was being thorough. For lunch, I got a shrimp tempura roll and miso soup, and both were tasty and fresh. I loved the complimentary yoga class, which happens daily from 2-3 PM. Regarding the bathhouse, it's listed on their website that you have to be nude, and plenty of people have talked about that, so I won't bore you with those details. That being said, the varying temperatures are nice, so you can choose based on your comfort. The showers are in the same bath area and are open, just to note, but nobody is really looking at you. You get comfortable pretty quickly once you realize nobody cares and there's a lot of body positivity. Overall, I had a lovely experience. The staff are friendly and help you feel comfortable, and there are plenty of things to do. Definitely recommend staying the whole day. If you want to enjoy all the amenities but are a little wary about the nudity, I suggest coming early when there's less people, and it feels a little more private. I was slightly hesitant to visit the spa based on the mixed reviews I saw online, but ultimately decided to give it a chance. I had never been to a Korean spa, and I live over an hour away, so I was really hoping for a good experience. That being said, I'm very happy I decided to come and look forward to coming back.
