Turned that she gave a strong massage, primarily using kneading techniques. After the massage, I found out that it was another massuese. Therefore the massuese feigned her name to get my business. Came here for a massage this past weekend and had one request: female therapists for both me and my bf. Upon arrival we were instructed to put on these hospital-looking gowns and almost knee-length shorts. We then had a sheet put over us on top of all the clothes. Now it's ok if that's the way you do massages but it's a detail customers would want to know. No oils? No skin contact? No thank you. As I'm on the massage table, I see a male masseuse come in, even though I specifically asked for a female. At one point he starts massaging my neck very hard and I tried to tell him "no neck please" but he gestured that he doesn't speak English. I am more than understanding of that since I'm an immigrant myself. However if your job is to deal with people every day, you should probably learn a few basic terms, like body parts you're massaging. In an hour long massage the focus was mostly on my neck and back, no cracking and barely any leg massage. I honestly couldn't wait for it to be over. The male masseuse when the customer requested a female is unacceptable. Please do better and tell people your massage is basically in full clothing and with a sheet on top. read more

I scheduled an hour couples massage for my husband and and I and could not be more happy with the services received. We were greeted by Amy who asked what services we required, also asked for the level of intensity we were requesting. For me, I chose medium/hard for my back, arms, shoulders, legs, feet, etc. seeing how I had been experiencing some tightness; my husband selected medium. We each put on a hospital type gowns with shorts. The massage started with the sheet placed over top of us but it was subsequently removed so that we could be lotioned and then have hot stones placed on us. When we turned over, the sheet was returned and we received shoulder, neck, hands, legs and feet massage, which felt incredible. Our masseuse also massaged the temples to relieve tension. We both enjoyed the leg and arm stretches. Sophia and Nancy took great care of us, continually asked if we were okay and overall did an amazing job. I recommend this location as well as these two women providing the service. We will be back. read more

Alright so I have to agree with other reviews! Feet has been sore so on a Saturday night decided to look for reflexology on Groupon. Called next day and so glad was able to get in a few hours later. Located in a small shopping strip off Rockville pike between a few other popular restaurants. Greeted by friendly lady. Few mins later, was brought into a cozy room with relaxing lighting and music. My masseuse name was Lee , introduced himself and answered all qs I had. Not only did I able to get a full relief on my feet but Lee was very accommodating and let me have some upper body massage for 15 mins out of 60mins time. If you're looking for a great massage and I meant "great" to release all your soreness and tension I would def recommend this place. I ended purchasing a VIP member so I can add all the add-ons for next couple visits. The only downside I have to say is the thin walls around that made you hear the doors opening, microwave.. lol. But hey if you can focus on the massage and would like to feel better, you've come to the right place. Planning to be back within the next month to get my full massage. read more

Prenatal massage at 39 weeks -- Overall the staff was communicative, they called me ahead of time to let me know they were running behind and if I could come in 30 min later, that was fine. It is a nice and clean environment as others have stated. They made me sign a waiver that asks if i want certain areas to be focused on or not touched - im thinking I am about to have a nice massage. I was placed in the first room, had a nice ambience but you could hear everything going on in the reception area - not the best when youre trying to relax. It is a traditional heated bed, he gave me an extra pillow which was nice so I would be comfortable on my side. My massage begins where about 15 minutes has gone by and all he has done at this point is spread oil around my back.. I asked if he massage/knead me with pressure and he said no because of the baby. I tell him the baby is fine, I would like more pressure. He then proceeds to massage me including the slightest pressure change ever and constantly asked if its okay. Overall, I did not enjoy this massage. I couldve asked my partner to rub hot oil on my back if I knew that was all I was paying for - to be moisturized. I mentally could not even relax. I understand if he was afraid to knead around my abdomen or lower back but you would at least expect a thorough massage on your neck, shoulders, arms, and legs. None of which were touched at all. Not to mention, I came out of the bathroom in hopes I could just leave and never come back. The receptionist and masseuse were awkwardly waiting for me with a small cup of water and making awkward conversation just to ask me for his tip. The receptionist even had my credit card receipt payment ready for me to add a tip onto it. Because ive worked in service, I left a small one. Overall I feel like I got robbed of my time and money. One day in May I was looking to try out another place for a massage because I still hadn't found a place that I would consider above average for a massage yet. I happen to realizes that day how close Origins was to my house so I went there. I got a 90min hot stone and it was fantastic!!! Very very above average!!! I also realizes my shoulder felt better. She is incredible and gets knots out wonderfully. I asked why she kept looking at the door. After I closed the door, she opened it. Apparently, the owner (I'll get to) demands the doors be open. That way the staff can look inside. He stated 'really the only reason is to make sure our staff is doing a good job and what they are supposed to do'. It has taken a week for my body to feel better after receiving the most painful and uneven "massage" of my life. They schedule clients back-to-back so if the client in front of you is running late they will call you and tell you that YOU need to change your arrival time , total BS. Nobody speaks English except the receptionist and you're getting deep tissue whether you want it or not. My husband and I visited this spa for a couples massage. I appreciate that this establishment was able to fit us in at the last minute. My one compliant is the workers seemed distracted. They were talking quietly to each other throughout the massage. That made for a nice so relaxing time. The place is pristine regarding cleanliness. The message was average at best. Nothing special. It actually was painful at moments. My husband said his massage was fine. If you are looking for a low cost, effective massage this is your place. I did not get the spa experience, it's more so a quick stop for a massage. No frills. I went in for the Prenatal Massage , My masseuse Linda, was very attentive, caring, gentle and made sure i was comfortable! She was so great and definitely knows what she's doing. The environment was quiet and very relaxing, -The rooms and massage tables are clean as well. She dimmed the lights so it was very soothing along with the music. I had such a great experience and will definitely go back to her about once a month. I've had many massages before but he really knew where all the problem areas were without me having to say a word. Came here for the first time and wanted to use the Yelp coupon that says 10$ "ANY SERVICE" apparently any service does not actually mean any service. She said I couldn't use it because it wasn't a "long enough" service .... Whatever that means! I was asked to pay before the service, that was weird. But I paid and took a picture of the venmo tip QR code they had on display. I got my massage it was okay, average. I had already told them I was in a rush to pick up my son so I couldn't do more than 30 minutes massage. After my massage I rushed out and was walking and trying to do the tip on Venmo as I rushed out . I wish I could give 0 stars. My friend and I received terrible massages. I got a foot massage that was aimless poking and squeezing. I had to try to coach the masseuse through the process, but it did not get better. I asked for more pressure, so she started using a tool. She was poking bone on the top of my foot and stayed too long in one area instead of working the whole foot. She was nice, but lacked skill/technique. My friend got a foot and body massage, she too was greatly disappointed. It was as if the guy had never given or even received a massage before! He was trying to massage on BONE instead of working the muscle. Her foot massage was focused on the top of her feet instead of the bottoms! When she tried to redirect his terrible technique because it as hurting her, he became upset and rude. Amateurs. It was a waste of time and money, we will never return. In addition to poor massage skills, the receptionist charged before the massage service, which is weird but I could have gotten over. However, she tried to get me to sign a receipt w/ a blank tip. No! You should never sign a receipt w/out closing out the tip. I told her I would keep the receipt and sign it after the massage, they acted like this was a problem. When I returned to pay, she had printed a new receipt as if the one original one I did not initially sign was expired. I ended up tipping $10 to each masseuse, trying to be kind, but we left more stressed out then we came. It was awful! Another, discriminatory issue was that I (a dark skin black women) was talking/paying/interacting w/ the receptionist but she kept ONLY kept addressing/ accepting answers from my friend (a very light skin, women of mixed race). My friend thought that was also important to point out. So yeah, don't go here if you KNOW what a good massage is...you will be disappointed. read more
