Upon my arrival I was kindly greeted by Kylie who checked me in. After completing a few pages of paperwork, I was given a brief tour of the facility and directed to my sauna. It was a very relaxing session and I highly recommend to those needing a good detox. I have had sinus/ allergy issues since the 4th grade. Fast forward to this week a bad cold and crazy temperature shifts had left me with a headache for 3 days. It would be nice if the room was a little more soundproofed or located further back in the building away from the road; I could hear lunch hour traffic rushing by on the street about 20 yd away. But other than that, this was a great massage, and I've had plenty over the decades. A lot of therapists these days slop through the motions, but Karen really has a pinpoint, accurate understanding of the human body and I give her full props for 90 minutes of targeted, firm pressure body work. Me having slightly arthritic hands, I greatly appreciate her stamina! I left the appointment, amazed with an amount of flexibility in my neck and shoulders I haven't felt in probably 10 years. This time, they tried to upsell me on a manicure (I never get my nails done, I'm a woodworker and my hands are not girly). I got a regular all body massage even though I pointed out the two areas still hurting, and neither one was given as much attention as my ankles, which isn't why I was there at all. It's been two hours and my eyes are still burning from the perfumes, which were much more noticeable than the first time. I was so disappointed. If only the first time could have been repeated. They went out of their way to air the room and fix my shoulder pain, and then this week it all went weird and I left feeling like my $100 was a complete waste of time and money.
