My husband and I decided to get a couples massage at the last minute. I called around and Massage Crystal was available and affordable. $50 per person for a couples massage? Yes, sign me up! I should have known it was too good to be true. Overall, the staff was friendly and the ambience was nice but I was EXTREMELY uncomfortable. My husband and I got undressed to our comfort level (we left our bottoms on). Strike 1: As soon as my massage therapist started, she tried to take off my underwear. I said "no, I am leaving my bottoms on and you don't have to massage that area." She rolled them down mid-way and started massaging my back and buttocks ANYWAY. Strike 2: She spent the majority of the time massaging my butt and then said "Can I tell you something? You have a great butt!" After that I could not relax and wanted to end the massage (meanwhile, my husband is on the other table relaxed and falling asleep). Strike 3: The two massage therapists talked to each other throughout the couples massage so even if i was comfortable (which I was NOT), I could not relax because of all of their talking. Went here today for the first time. I was greeted promptly and after looking up my reservation I was taken to my room. The room was nice and had a flower on the massage bed which I thought was a nice touch. I laid on the bed and I actually like their massage bed better than at some other places they have the little face hole in the bed rather than the extension out of the bed. My wife and I have been to several massage spas but I have to say that Crystal Massage in Crofton is the best. The staff is friendly and the price is reasonable. I have neuropathy in my feet so yesterday my wife and I went to Crystal massage spa and I got the foot massage and then the body massage. The lady who massaged my feet and body was in my opinion the best I have seen. She used a special oil on my feet and it was awesome! It felt like she knew exactly where to use the amount of pressure on my that was necessary and although it hurt a little it felt great at the same time. When I got the body massage I got the hot rocks application and it was incredible!! I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a good massage at a reasonable price. They are nice and honestly pretty on point. I've been going to them for quite some time. Like 5 or more years. I gave them three stars due to my overall experiences with them. However my last couple of massages were only OK. I'm used to a nice working over with fingers, sometimes toes, palms, squeezes, stretches, the whole nine- from this very same place, despite the masseuse. However, tonight I'm not happy. For starters there was a lot of noise in the lobby. It made it hard to relax. On top of that, my massage wasn't a massage at all. While it was cool, it wasn't "good" as it was more like $120 back rub. Lots of elbows and forearms but no fingers and hardly any squeezes but there was this awkward butt thing! She was sure to keep checking about the pressure but explaining that I wanted more fingers in my massage- I don't think she understood. Being undressed you don't exactly want to get up to find the receptionist. By the time I left I was a little disappointed and tired and needed to process my experience. My wife and I decided to come here for date night. The price is decent, but for me that's where the value ends. I've had a few massages before to compare it to, and I'd rate this more at the lower end. The woman I had used her elbow the whole time and it just didn't feel good at all. When I went to go pay, I left what I thought was a reasonable tip. Apparently that wasn't good enough for them and they proceeded to pull out their tip chart to show me how much I should tip. Massage crystal was amazing! Sophia did an amazing job. I work in the restaurant business and am on my feet for 60 hours a week so I am constantly in pain because of how long I am on my feet. Sophia knew exactly where my problem areas were and I didn't have to tell her to go any harder or lighten up, she could feel where I was tense and knew how hard to go. Visited this place for a couple message for my Husband's bday we did a combo 60 min body and 30 min feet they soak your stinky feet first I don't blame them,then they dry them and start the message the guy doing my feet was a little heavy handed I had to tell him ease up, i didn't go to sleep but my husband did, onto the message it was great softer pressure was applied they also used hot stones!!!. I added that for an additional $30! So let me start by saying that if you want a spa experience with cucumber/lemon water and spa robes, this is not your spot! What I will say is Massage Crystal offers a very quiet and tranquil environment! I was instantly relaxed! My full body massage was everything! The gentleman had very strong hands! And did a total number on my shoulders and back! But I totally needed it! It literally was awesome! I was taken to a separate dark room full of massage chair and tranquil music for my foot massage! This is a very good place when you are in a pinch. It reminds me of any average nail shop...but it's a massage parlor. Pros: I walked in without an appointment and they took me 10 mins later. Prices are low so you can get the extra 30 mins. Clean The man that gave me my massage was great. He asked about the pressure and was concerned if he was doing it too hard. Cons: My room was behind the receptionist, so I heard the phone ring, the door open and clients... No lockers No doors No hooks for clothes It's a get what you pay for kind of place, this isn't a luxury spa day. But I could barely walk and needed some relief fast and I was pleasantly surprised. After looking at yelp reviews I decided to visit Massage Crystal today. It was not crowded and I was able to get in to get a foot massage immediately. I got the one hour foot massage. Overall, the experience is what I'm used to. One difference was when my feet were soaking, there were ridges or dull prongs to stimulate the bottom of my feet while soaking. The massage itself, put me to sleep. So I cannot say exactly what happened. I know that about 30 minutes per foot was done. I'm giving four stars because I was sitting up for the massage and I think laying flat would be more comfortable. And since I was sleeping, I can't comment on everything that was done. There is a $2 charge if you use a card to pay, but I'm used to this at other places as well. All in all, the prices were good and the massage was relaxing. read more

A little skeptical about them not finding out if you have health issues or specific preferences as far as the gender of masseuse no waiver or any form to fill out. Was delighted to find this massage parlor in Crofton. It is very clean and professional, you can make a reservation by phone and they will confirm via text. My masseuse was Lisa and her hands are magic. Highly recommended. The staff is mostly Chinese and they use traditional Chinese massage techniques (which means they will get up in your personal space, but you'll feel great after). There can be a bit of a language barrier, but the service is excellent. I try to leave a healthy tip for them. read more

As a disabled veteran, I have a barrage of issues which includes disc herniation, disc bulges, no disc space, sciatica, degenerative disc disease, bilateral hips and knees, and an inflamed rotator cuff. I was in tears all morning because I was having issues walking. My chronic pain was getting the best of me. My man tells me to find a place I can walk into and I came across this true hidden gem. I called at 12:30 and they said they could take me at 1. I drove straight over. I requested the 120min body massage. It's listed for $100!!!! That's insane pricing! I went to the restroom and as soon as I came out I was directed to a small room where I took off my clothes and got under the sheet. The masseuse spent some time kneading over top the sheet which was different for me. Then he massaged my scalp and my migraine went away (it's been around 4 days and they usually last a good 10-12 days)! Then he brought out lotions and oils. He used a unique path/pattern while massaging my back but I realized even though it's not text book, it worked because it truly followed my body. We are not all the same so why are we all wanting the same basic massages? Anyway. Then he proceeded to my lower body before flipping me over to do my arms, legs and feet. For the first time I wasn't moving slowly and telling a masseuse that. Needed this or that to change because my back was seizing. When the massage was done I was almost asleep! This is also rare for me between the chronic pain and the PTSD. Hot stones and hot towels were also used throughout the head to toe process! I highly recommend this place if you need an escape from the chronic pain. I just left and got my nails done without seizing in the salon chair! Definitely my new place. Only $60 for a 60 min body massage OR $90 for 60 min body massage plus 60 min reflexology massage! Can't beat these prices or the attention you receive. The ambiance was perfect. The walls a deep shade of purple. It smells nice and the first thing you hear when you walk in is a small water fountain couples with relaxing music. There's a nice waiting area with tea and water. The lights in the rooms are a bit brighter than I'm used to but he put something over my eyes automatically to keep me relaxed. The location is easy to find. The staff is professional and friendly. I really wanted to like this place, but my massage was not relaxing at all. My massage therapist could not give me a soft & relaxing Swedish massage no matter how much she tried. After I told her she was being a little too rough, she really did try to meet my level of comfort, but it just wasn't relaxing. At one point, when she was standing in front of me giving me a massage, she got on the table & ended up kneeling on my hair. I had to tell her that she was literally pulling my hair because she didn't realize her knee was on my hair. She apologized, put a towel over my head, and got back on the table. The massage also wasn't relaxing because I was in the first massage room near the front door. It was sooo loud & constant foot traffic. I could also hear the street traffic outdoors because the front door of the spa was left cracked. Out of the full 60 min massage, there was only like 3 mins of silence. No joke, no exaggeration. I am giving this place at least three stars because the staff was really pleasant and I was able to be seen right away with no appointment. Also the prices are reasonable. You can get a 60 min Swedish massage with hot stones & essential oil for only $60. However, I will not be back. I'd rather pay a little more for a more relaxing experience. read more
