She will just try to sell you stuff the entire time and not shut up about it. I told her I was allergic to stuff, she put it on my face anyways saying it was okay because it was "medical grade". Let me tell you about this GRIMEY staff. DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE. They called the police on me for theft of service when I had two credits left on my account and would not let me transfer one to my daughter. They schedule my appointment where I mentioned that I was transferring a credit and once ready to checkout they tried to make me pay. I was a bit confused and wanted to know what the fee was for. They stated that since I closed my account I could not transfer my credit. But when would give me a member fee of $75. But I am no longer a member why would you extend a member fee to me and why would you book an appointment and not inform me in advance that I could not use the credit when I mentioned I was transferring a credit. THIS GETS BETTER, so police come and there is no theft of service as they did not explain to be me when the appointment was booked that I owed a fee. read more

I've been a member since 2006. The care and professionalism of this chain has really gone down. Today ME Atascocita location invited me to come in for an earlier appointment because there was a cancellation. I arrived on time, checked in and waited. After 15 minutes I go to the desk and ask them to notify my therapist. Five minutes later he comes out flustered, annoyed, and calling the wrong persons name. He walks me back and starts reading from the tablet so fast that I couldn't even understand him. I ask him about being over 20 minutes late and will the session be 20 minutes longer? He says, in a very dismissive and unapologetic way "I don't know". I ask him to walk me to the front to speak to the manager. He grabs the manager and the two of them huddle up in her office with the door closed. The manager was nice enough and apologetic. Clearly her employee needs some coaching and should be reminded that he signed up for a profession that involves being punctual, showing care, providing comfort and general friendliness to the customers you serve. If I'm here for a relaxing experience and I'm met with negativity and a bad attitude my response will always be no thanks. I cancelled my membership and will be happy to spend my dollars elsewhere. read more

I scheduled an appointment for my husband as a surprise. He's an active duty soldier (recruiting) in Humble. He got called in and I had to call and cancel the appointment. I did so at 11am his appointment was scheduled for 4 pm. I had to leave a voicemail to cancel because no one answered the call. When they finally called back it was pretty much just to tell me that they had to charge me $47 for the same day cancellation. FORTY SEVEN DOLLARS. Then, had the audacity to try to sell me a 6 month $60/month membership. I get that I'm not special. I get that I don't deserve special privileges, but the policy is a bit cutthroat in my opinion. My advice? 1. Buy a Groupon for a massage if you plan on gifting it so that the person can schedule it themselves. 2. Don't go to massage envy. read more

I love this location. Now at first, I was a little disappointed transitioning from the Buffalo Speedway/West University location where Hasani and Christian were my regular massage therapists. But it wasn't long before I started to call this place home. Yemeka and Misty provide excellent massages and customer service. Yemeka has me laughing with our conversations and Misty helps me keep up with pop culture. I recommend these two massage therapists if you're looking for a female. Michael is a good massage therapist for those of you looking for a male. Michael is very attentive and will offer great suggestions on how to treat your muscles with the care they deserve. As for the facial treatments, I only recommend Darius. I haven't tried the others so this isn't to say he's the only good one. Darius however, is only available at the Atascocita location on Sundays. He's primarily at the Kingwood location. Darius has helped me elevate my skin to a new level. I usually just book a facial and let Darius tell me what treatment we should do. I've done the Microderm, chemical peel, and regular facials and each experience provided my skin with the right level of care and treatment. The staff at the front are exceptional. I'll get their names and update this later. As soon as I walk through the door, I'm checked in. They remember faces and names. Not for the management of the business mind you,but for the therapist I had. It is obvious the manager they have there is HORRIBLE. They've had 6 therapists quit in about 2 weeks, and I know for a fact the therapist I was seeing was very unhappy. What manager CHARGES their employees for calling in sick? Seriously? You're going to charge your therapist FULL PRICE for a massage, when not all of your clients even pay full price? I personally would rather have a therapist who is healthy than one that is coughing and sneezing all over me because YOU couldn't handle losing business for that day. I've also tried to move my account over to them for months. The manager NEVER got back with me even after my 4 attempts. The account still is not changed and I am not going to change it. My membership at a different massage envy will be much more helpful. I now consider it a blessing. Also, it must be nice Ms. Manager to work only from 10-4 during the week. I can't even talk with you personally since I have a job from 7 to 4. Every time when I get there you are already gone, and my appt. time is at 5! You also don't seem to work weekends. My suggestion to you would be to value your employees since they are what will bring in the business. If you don't have good therapists that are happy, your clients won't be happy and they will leave, which is precisely what I will be doing if I lose another therapist. While I endured the other mediocre massages I still tipped and informed the representatives of the poor service. Eventually, I decided to cancel. To my surprise, no one seem to care a bit about the loss of a customer. I was contacted via text message about my final payment and that was it in a nutshell. After such a lackluster experience you would think they would offer an apology or credit but it was clear they were more concerned about their final payment. So I had a membership at Massage Envy - Atascocita that I canceled at the beginning of the year (when you have a "membership" they bill you monthly for massages and you can accumulate them if not used) However, when you cancel your membership they EXPIRE! I was given a Masage Envy gift card for my birthday. I called to make an appt. they refused to give me an appt without my giving them my credit card information. I told them i would not give them that for their files. This is how account information gets compromised. I explained I did not plan on exceeding the gift card amount. In the event that I exceeded the gift card amount, I would take care of the charges then. I did not want my credit card information on file there. They were rude. They refused to give me an appointment. Then told me they would not refund the person that gave me the gift card either. This place is horrible. I will never go there after the way they acted. I would rate them the worst I have encountered in many years. I don't look for them to be around with that customer service policy. I hope other people don't buy there gift cards. I have been going to this business for close to three years after receiving a gift certificate. The massage therapist was exceptional so i decided to sign up for a continual contract. I didn't feel too much pressure to join but there was some via the sales person. I would be billed one time per month on the 1st of the month I have used a few therapists in the three years I have visited but mainly see my one girl who is beyond fabulous (Pamela). At one point when I was unable to see my regular treating therapist I was seen by a male whom I felt was too touchy feely. He attempted to massage my upper chest but not too far.....just far enough to make me feel uncomfortable(Dusty). From that point on I refused to see anyone but Pamela. I have seen the front reception area move from relaxing to beyond words........and they are not decent words to repeat..... My mother made a comment to me regarding how pressured she felt to purchase a membership (after I gave her a gift card for mother's day) and she used it for a one hour massage. I still didn't listen because Pamela was SO fabulous... Last month I knew I had a treatment coming up, but couldn't remember what date it was scheduled for............."no problem, I thought, I have never missed an appointment and massage envy always leaves me a message the day before my appointment reminding me of the day" and has even called when I have been 5 minutes late..........Guess who didn't call to remind me, notify me I was late, NOTHING........! I did call a day late to find out when my appointment was scheduled for and they had NOTHING on the books for me but could schedule something the next day.... I did not even know that I had missed my appointment. I only realized that I had missed it the NEXT time I called to schedule a massage and was told I had been charged a missed appointment fee in September........that is a full appointment $59.00 charged to my account that I was not able to use, PLUS I was early billed on the 16th of September for (October) for the second September appointment. $120.00. I hit the roof when I went to my October 15th appointment and was notified that I had already used my October massage back in September and would be paying for a full massage today. $180.00 in 30 days.....At this point I became beyond infuriated and informed the front desk that I would be canceling my membership due to the poor customer service I had received. The girls at the front desk informed me that I would be charged just one more time before my 30 days was up on November 1st. $240.00 in less than 3 months!! This is unacceptable!! The front desk is always messy, the girls do not appear to know how to run any thing and the staff is constantly changing........that should tell you something about how the management works. This place is a total scam. The therapists are professional (except for Dusty) and are only paid minimum wage. They DO get an extra dollar if you ask for a deep tissue massage. What does the $59.00 a month go? What does it pay for? The actual work is done by the therapist, they keep that place running and are paid NOTHING. The front desk is clueless about how things work and extremely unprofessional in demeanor, and customer service. I have never been able to speak with a manager because there is not one that stays around longer than 3 months. DO NOT waste your hard earned money at this SCAM. The therapist are the ones who are losing out because they are being screwed over by the incompetent front desk and managerial style. I finally could not take it anymore and terminated my contract with them and even at the end they were successful at disappointing me. This is a really bad location. Let me start by saying it isn't the massage techs. The massage techs are great. There is a lack of management at this location and the front desk is horrible. The assistant manager lies and says she isn't in the office so she doesn't have to address the concerns of the customer. She calls me after I have been chasing her all week. What she fails to realize, I was there and one of the front desk employees told me I just missed her. SMH Liar!!! The front desk will leave you on hold so long you can drive there. Also, the front desk doesn't know how to schedule appointments correctly. Just asked the massage techs. SMH The front desk will tell you that you can't have an appt with your tech and your tech is sitting right there without an appt and no cancellations. Don't get locked in with a membership. I had an appointment scheduled yesterday for 5pm. That morning my child and myself had a fever and my throat hurt. I called and advised them that I would need to cancel my appointment as I believed I caught strep throat from my child's school. (Backstory: my child's school just sent out an advisory days prior of other students catching strep) The woman on the line advised me that I would pay 50% due to cancelling same day and was I sure I want to cancel after informing her of the potentials. I advised her of the seriousness of coming into the establishment with a contagious sickness. Her response was "well it is not confirmed yet". I told her to keep the appointment there then and I will come in and get people sick. She was ok with that. Later on that day, my child and I tested positive for Covid, Strep Throat, and hand, foot and mouth. I called back and advised I need to cancel my service. They stated am I sure as I will loose out %50 of my service per membership and was again enticed to come in. I stated the positive results of my illness and hung up the line. Very concerning and my trust in this company is LOST. It led me to wonder how many are allowed to come in with ailments all in the sake of not loosing out on membership cost. I will be calling Monday to cancel my membership. It is not fair to the staff that perform services nor other clients to allow patrons in the establishment that could potentially be contagious. read more

I started as a member in another location, in another state. I was extremely pleased with the service I received, and eventually moved back to Texas, retaining my membership. Because each location is individually owed, you must transfer your membership, which I believed to have happened. It did not. I only found out, after having an incident in which I spoke with the manager and area manager about a policy change that I was not notified of. Needless to say, my transfer had never come through and so there wasn't much that could be done, because my home location had never been changed. I wrote a letter to this location, and they basically left me out to dry. I contacted my original home location and they let me know that my massages had been given to other people. So a total of 8 massages that I paid for were "given" to people I didn't even know. The reality is that this place is a scam, they help when they want, and don't most of the time. Massages are ok but try to cancel the contract and their procedures are terrible. One must go there in person to cancel, so my pregnant wife had to drive there and explain how she no longer wishes to get massages while she is pregnant and we are moving so please cancel. Their response was to ask for our new address....and the tone and insistance was ridiculous. Well lady we don't have a new address yet...work is moving me and will get me a home soon....and frankly what difference does it make....so get of our back. Next we get the excuse that the manager is not around so they can't cancel....who cares!!! My wife signed the required document and explained that she showed up as requested and cancelled so there should not be a charge for the following month. What do I see today on my credit card?? He was busy at work so I called & first the person on the phone told me they were completely booked that weekend, then when I said my boyfriend was a member, she said there would be a spot for him, but not me. She was very rude & tried telling me I couldn't make an appt under his name for BOTH of us even though I had all his info. So he got mad & told them off. We went to the one in Kingwood instead.
