I got my second massage with Junny yesterday. It was a deep tissue and I felt properly lobbed after! He's such a wonderful masseuse. I've had a relaxation massage with him before and that was heaven! Also, he's funny ( which helps esp when it's deep tissue!). Asia and Adam at the front desk were super helpful and sweet with the check in process and they helped me find the right option so I could come back for a few more visits with Junny! I love this location! I had the most amazing massage by Mo and the friendliest guest service from Adam. Both Mo and Adam were extremely friendly and attentive. Mo checked in with me during my massage to ensure I wasn't uncomfortable with how much pressure she was applying. I had a lot of knots and she was able to get a lot of them out without being overly aggressive! Adam has the most angelic energy that you can feel as soon as you walk in. He made every step of my check in process seamless and I found myself wanting to stay longer just to enjoy his kindness. It's so mid to low end for massage. Unsure if these people are even trained. Avoid signing contract, despite major hygiene issues unable to cancel. Therapist blowing their nose in tissue 5x during session was so gross and his response was "I put hand sanitizer on," unacceptable. It's not even the half of it here, plus the attitude. Given a partial credit and can't cancel- "there are other locations." As if I want to drive in traffics to a distant location. Once you get the ick...... no options. I have been a long-time member and looking at these reviews it's unfortunate people have had mixed experiences because I've had nothing but pleasant encounters with the massage technicians, aestheticians, and customer service staff. Over the years you'll definitely see changes in staff but that to me is normal if you've been a long time member like I have (over 12 years). It's definitely an investment that you make in your own self-care and when you find people who go the extra mile to make you feel better you want to keep them a secret but my current go-tos are Cathy for massage and Ladan for facials. Cathy was the first technician to figure out what was really making me tense and once she addressed that I've been so much more relaxed and sessions have been much better. And Ladan! Wow every time I go to her I fall asleep. My skin definitely benefits from her great care. The service staff have also been great with me, no issues. Even if there is a scheduling issue they call me in advance to reschedule and offer alternatives. So for me I'm happy to continue to go to this location, small parking lot in the back and either neighborhood parking (look at the signs) or metered parking on the street. read more

As a 12 year Yelp Elite and an original member of this spa, 9 years later I am reporting that nothing has changed! I very rarely write 1-star reviews, but Just like Evie D, we had very disappointing experiences. The pros have not changed--the masseurs are great. Over the decade, Miriam and Hercules have been wonderful as well as the other staff members at the front of house. The cons are also the same...ME Beverly Hills management and owners are CONS! They demonstrate no care for their clients and show their customers that their loyalty is to the dollar, and there are no exceptions. The staff at the front desk are very mean to me, I know this location doesn't represent the other ones. So I recommend trying out a deferent Massage Envy location. Unfortunately this one is just horribly managed and the staff treat people unfairly :-( Maybe one day they will change and be nice to people and maybe even be managed better. I don't think I have ever given a one-star review to any business but Massage Envy Beverly Hills should be used as a case study of how NOT to treat customers. I joined this franchise over 10 years ago and unlike many people didn't cancel my membership during the lockdown. I have always had a card on file and never missed a payment in all that time. A couple of weeks ago I had to replace my credit card because of a fraud alert. I called ME Beverly Hills and left a message telling them that I needed to update my card info. Nobody called me back and as life goes on I got busy and didn't remember to chase them to give them my new card info. Today I went for a massage at the Pasadena location and learned that the Beverly Hills location has cancelled my membership! They never called me back, they didn't email or text to let me know they needed a new card, they just cancelled me as a client after more than a decade of being their customer. To top it off, when I called them about it from the Pasadena location (which now was regretfully saying they needed to charge me a nonmember price for a massage) I was told the manager was too busy to talk to me and would call me back in 5 minutes. I waited and waited because I didn't want to pay non-member rates but nobody called me back. After a while the lovely people in the Pasadena office offered to make me a member there, and to honor my current rate for 12 months. I was happy to give them my business. It is now several hours since I first called the Beverly Hills location and I still haven't received a call back. This is the worst customer service I've ever received at any business in Los Angeles. I have been going to this Massage Envy location ever since I started working in West Los Angeles almost 3 years ago. But ever since I officially moved out here, I have been coming here more often. The only gap in time that I have been absent when this location (along with other massage places in general) locked down starting in March 2020 because of the pandemic. But ever since they opened back up, I have trying to come at least once a month to get some much-needed relief for the tension and stress that I have been feeling lately, especially from work! The only hard part for me after they opened post-pandemic was getting used to wearing a mask face down on the massage table. It wasn't and still isn't quite comfortable. But I know they absolutely must require mask-wearing for the sake of all the employees and customers, as well as checking our Covid-19 vaccination record cards upon entry. I really like both Olga and Maryam :) !! I have gone to Olga for Swedish massages! I know that deep tissue massages are supposed to be better for you in regards to really hitting your trigger points. But I think I'm a little too fragile for deep tissue! Haha :D ! So I opt for Swedish massages. If I can, I try to book 90-minute sessions with Olga because I feel that 60 minutes is really just a warmup. But because she is a very highly requested masseuse, it can be really hard to book her for 90-minute sessions! She really knows how to intuitively sense her clients' biggest and greatest needs in regards to relief, and she is also very receptive to feedback because she truly wants to make sure that her massage pressure is not too light or too deep for you, but JUST RIGHT ;) !! Yesterday was my very first time trying a Massage Envy 90-minute hot stone massage session with Maryam :) ! I was told that she is one of only two masseuses at this location who can do hot stone massages. I have had hot stone massages at other massage places and companies, but yesterday was my first time trying hot stone specifically at Massage Envy, and it certainly did not disappoint! Maryam was SO AWESOME and she has such a strong and effective technique for really relieving the knots and muscle tension in my neck, shoulders and upper back!! The hot stones felt SO NICE :D !! I can't wait to come back later this month for another one ;) !! Just like Olga, Maryam can be hard to book for because she is also very highly requested! LOL :D !! I just try my luck and see if I can book either of them, depending on who happens to be available sooner first ;) ! Yesterday's rejuvenating and relaxing hot stone massage session really helped to relieve me and get me into the holiday spirit :) ! SUPER disappointed by this service provided here. I booked a 90 minute massage and was shortchanged by a barely 65-70 minute massage. The masseuse while nice felt inexperienced. In the beginning they had to switch out my masseuse because the wrong person came in which ate into my time. And then they did nothing to make up for it other than a comp enhancement for next time . Good service would have picked up on that quickly and tried to better accommodate. I was fully prepared to sign up for a membership but I won't be. this was the worst spa location ever! The supervisor/manager was the worst she lacked simple compassion, understanding and conflict resolution! I had a massage scheduled at 4 but was caught in bad traffic from Orange County. I called in advance to let them know I wanted to reschedule the first agent was kind enough to give me a verbal okay cause she understood. Where do I start? Customer service is chaotic, disconnected and not professional. Different people calling at different time for the same issue that they just didn't talk amongst themselves first. Looks like the employees are each on a different step and as they come to work they never review the issue And just call customers rather than review files, and solving their internal problems. Massage technicians are on the rude side each asking for reviews so they get raise ?? Another insight to company 's business model.. they also don't really follow the massage basic principles nor they come across as really helpful. Lastly they leave you all oily with out wiping all the oils they pour on you ?? It's basic courtesy to clean customers in any business as we didn't walk in with grease on our body? All other massage places they wipe oil off at the end if the session with a warm wet towel. Common courtesy is to release the customers the same way they walked in like all massage shops, Hair Salons they remove the hair on your body as they are finishing you up, manicure places they remove extra stuff they used on your skins at the end of the session, Car wash businesses, dentists, doctors, no one releases customers with products used during the service on customers!! The idea is to get pampered relaxed and feeling better than when we came in not oily all over and irritated because now we have to drive our car back home and the car or steering wheels are getting all oily?? The esthetician was very nice. She upgraded me to an extra moisturizing facial for an additional $85. I obliged and the facial was good. However, I wasn't expecting my 60 minutes facial to only be 40 minutes. It ended 10 minutes shy of the 60 minutes, in addition to the 10 min of undress and consult. I expected more, especially with the upgrade in price. Prices are now as much as Burke Williams without the quality. read more

Well.. after being a member for over a year I thought I'd give some insight into my experience and why I finally decided to cancel my membership. Being someone who has regularly scheduled monthly appointments, sometimes twice a month, and both 90-minute and 60-minute appointments, I would highly recommend Daniel. Aside from how great of a massage therapist Daniel is, the front desk and management is hit or miss in consistency and quality. That said, asking to tip before an appointment is inappropriate (in my opinion!) I would at least like to receive the service before judging how much to tip. I have previously given $100 tips and also tips for $25. That said, it's just unprofessional. Second, prices increased and without my knowledge. That's the main reason for the cancellation of my membership. After speaking with a manager, apparently an email was sent out back in February but must've slipped into my spam. I'm only bringing this up, because going monthly, you would think during one of my visits from February-April it would've been mentioned in personal as well. It was a great experience while it lasted, but unfortunately there are many competitors nearby and as the saying goes "all good things come to an end". I would like to note one thing, the cancellation policy is clearly noted, and when I have inquired to cancel an appointment last minute, within the 24-hour window, this location has offered a one-time courtesy cancellation to accommodate my needs. This place is a bit of a scam. They sell you a 60 minute massage but 10 minutes are what they call "hands off" time. They dedicate those 10 minutes to a "consult" which you also have to on an iPad and repeat again in person, and 10 of those minutes are also dedicated to "dress" and "undress" I have never seen this at any other massage place. When you pay for a 60 minute massage you get a 60 minute massage. When I asked about it at the front desk, the gentleman helping me was really about it. So much attitude and treated me as if I was in the wrong for even asking about it. I have never come to a massage envy before and only came because I got a gift card as a present. The massage itself was a 7/10 so it wasn't all bad but I definitely won't be returning due to the rudeness from the staff and the fact that you really only get 50 minutes but you're paying for 60 minutes read more

My appt. was at 1:00 pm, and I waited 10 minutes before Kira came to get me for a facial treatment. She was nice and funny. Kira discussed my options, so I chose a basic facial since this was my first time with ME. In addition, she explained what she was doing step-by-step with the cleansing. Steaming, extractions, exfoliating, etc. The hot towels are soothing, and a few products have a fruity scent. Kira made her final touches and instructed me on the remining steps for overnight. If I could leave ZERO stars I would! I signed up for a membership here, SENT IN MY CANCELLATION FORM, Received confirmation that they received it and it was cancelled AND PROCEEDED TO CHARGE MY CARD FOR SIX MONTHS AFTER IT WAS CANCELLED!!!!! I called and spoke with the manager who found my cancellation form and said he can only refund me for two without having to call corporate so as a courtesy to them, I kept four credits on file. He told me I would have ONE YEAR to use them. Called to make an appointment and was told they were EXPIRED. He was no longer the manager, and I had to explain the whole situation to another manager, who agreed to extend my credits. Six months later this last Thursday, I called to make an appointment and I tried to use it with my boyfriend, and they would not let me transfer a credit (which I pay $10 for each time) because I didn't have an active membership. I was also told that my credits were expired AGAIN! The receptionist sent a message while I was on the phone to a third manager, and I had to explain the whole situation to her so she could attempt to relay it over email to the manager who then said she would do me a favor and extend them for two weeks! TWO WEEKS???? And still would not let me transfer a credit. When I called on Thursday I was told she wasn't in, but would definitely call me on Friday. Today is now Tuesday and I still have not heard from anyone. Not to mention every single time I call they are apparently fully booked for weeks in advance, so how exactly am I supposed to use two credits which I didn't even want in the first place within two weeks? DO NOT GO HERE!!!!! This has been the biggest waste of money and time and a HUGE HEADACHE!!!!!! EDIT - today is not Wednesday, I called back yesterday and was told the manager would be in today and called back today and was told the manager will be in tomorrow. Meanwhile, I've been calling since Thursday and was told the manager read the note to call me, but just didn't call it has been almost a week that I've called every single day. I booked a 60 min massage. Before the massage began I did what I always do before a massage, went over with the therapist, Sarah, why I was there and the areas of my body that felt tender. The massage ended and I was surprised because she had not massaged my shoulders, arms, hands, face, or head. She then proceeded to explain to me that 60mins is a short amount of time to do the whole body and focus on the parts I had mentioned. I never told her not to give me a full body massage. The massage therapist should know to do the whole body first and then concentrate on areas that are mentioned by the client. She should have better communicated this to me BEFORE THE MASSAGE NOT AFTER. The two young women in the front also had such little articulation to share. One just looked at me dumb-founded and never said a word. The other gave a very insincere apology but still managed to ask me if I'd become a member. LAUGHABLE!!!! Terrible customer service. So by the time I got undressed, it was around 7:20 ish. After going over my target Arias for the second time we finally began my 60 minute massage. She stopped the massage at about 8:05. After going back-and-forth with her about the time, she finally just threw her hand up and walked out the room at 8:11-ish. So happy ME is back open. When I received the notification they reopen I wanted to book asap with my previous therapist Terrence but I learned he was no longer there. I requested a therapist that could handle deep tissue and they recommend Calvin. I was nervous at first because my body is all jacked up LOL and I was praying he was strong enough. Boy oh Boy Calvin is the business. Safe word is TACO. That should say enough right there. I have seen Calvin twice so far and I see him again this week. So happy to have been paired with him. I can feel my range of motion improving in my neck area. Also ME is taking safety seriously by taking temperature and providing sanitizer.
