Always love coming here. Depending on time of day there can be some noise if patrons are waiting and making noise, or if staff and therapist are talking, just due to how easy sound travels. With that said, it is fairly common for spas that focus on Asian/Reflexology massage to have this issue. It is very affordable for the awesome quality of the massage. The happy hour during the typical work hours of weekdays is am amazing deal! I always tip in cash and especially since it's a great deal I tend to tip rather generously and try to do a cash tip because I don't know how or when they do the typical credit card tip reconcile (anyone who has worked in any sort of service related jobs knows sometimes that's a pain) but regardless I always tip on the amazingness of the massage itself. It is no frills and all about the massage which is what I'm aiming for, good deep tissue which is what I like and they are amazing at. Very clean space, love the new(ish) layout as well. I've always enjoyed visiting this place and the majority of massage therapists do a very good job. My only feedback would be they get tighter fitting nitrile gloves for therapists that choose to wear gloves. Lose gloves all bunched up aren't super comfortable. While I understand businesses doing what they need to do to remain in business, the price increase to $45 for a foot massage makes it very high versus alternatives. I think a more gradual price increase would not feel soo difficult. read more

I show up and they have me undress and turns out Davie is no longer working there. They tried to put me with someone else. I left. 2. I do not choose a specific massage therapist, but go at a time that is convenient for me, all the people working there are good specialists. Excellent chair massage at $1 per minute and worth every second! We dropped in here after a long weekend of fun in the sun. My neck was aching and we decided to have a quick 20 min session. The make technician worked on my guy friend while the female went to work on me. We both felt completely refreshed and not in pain when we walked out - success! Highly recommend this place. I love this place! They always fit me in, they are polite, accommodating, quiet, and super Intuitive. They don't do the typical massage you find too often where they just go through a pattern of your body, they actually pay attention to what needs special care. David is the GOAT! He has a brilliant rhythm that allows me to get knots out without feeling tense after. David is strong and very intuitive! Wish I could give Golden ocean a higher review! Been going there for the last couple of years , been there maybe 20 times over the years! The turn over of the staff is just the worst. You find the person that you want to massage you and knows what you like, then suddenly the next time you come or call to set an appointment they are no longer there! This has happened 4 or 5 times already! That was fine because if was close and usually there recommendation for new masseuse was ok! That Said the value was the real reason I would go back, A 90 minute massage was only $65! Well that has changed and now it's $90 that's almost 40%! Every-time we go here we cal prior to going to check availability. They say they are available then when we arrive they want us to wait 30 minutes. Used to be good but now they just lie to get you in the door. Will not go here again. Update to your response to my review. That is a lie it was clearly stated on the telephone that there were 3 of us. This is not the first time your company/employees have pulled this stunt to get customers in the door. Just wanted a nice hot stone massage, good location but I wasn't happy at all. The lady seemed like she was in a rush to give me a massage I asked for a foot massage because she was massaging me it was too abrasive, not what I wanted. Especially before Thanksgiving, it was disappointing. I told them to do a foot massage instead of my full body and they didn't listen they proceeded to do the whole body when I specifically asked them to do a 1 hour foot massage instead. Ugh, I feel really ripped off from this place. They don't even speak English here, just barely. It's not too hard to make a customer happy but sadly I really wasn't here, and they expected me to tip them more than I would've liked why would I tip more if I hated the service? I had an amazing massage by Sunny. She was absolutely wonderful. I did a 60 min total body massage with a 30 min foot massage. Worth every penny. There is a lot of wear and tear with my back, neck, and shoulders and she was able to concentrate a lot on those areas. No. Don't. Just don't. I used to work in Sunset Plaza and had always been curious about this place. I heard they can just get you right in, and they were cheap. So, on a whim I went in today. I got in, quickly chose the 60min massage for $70. It is really creepy in there, very dark, the only thing separating you from other guests are big curtains, but you're literally a foot apart. You feel like you're in a third world country, and in the worst way possible. I requested my masseuse to use very light pressure, which he agreed to. He used every pointy part of his body to give me a massage, elbows, knuckles, knees, whatever. You could tell he didn't know what he was doing. It just felt very uncomfortable. I honestly left feeling worse than when I came in. My back is aching as I type I feel really beat up. So.. the kicker is when I was leaving and being rang up I tipped him $5 because the massage was bad, he didn't listen to what I asked and the whole experience sucked. He pointed to a sign on the counter that had a tipping chart. I just added an additional $5 dollars because he made me feel guilty. Jerk. Never going back again. Honestly, I love this place. I've paid way more for the type of massage I get here, but I always end up coming back here. They definitely dug deep into my knots and knew exactly where my pain was radiating even when I didn't fully know. Working on a computer or laptop all day + the physical activity really takes a toll on my back. I have a lot of tension in both my upper and lower back. I get the fully body massage usually. The person didn't initially add oil when I first got it, but I asked the guy giving my massage to add oil since it can be a little too rough after a while without oil. (Not sure if they add it halfway or something, but I ask for it in the beginning.) He readily complied and they always have whenever I've asked. The full body massage also included some stretching. They also focus on the specifics parts around my spine where I am extremely tense. I swear the massages I've gotten here also have aided me with indigestion at times. It's a very straightforward massage, and I appreciate it. For me, getting the body massage is "maintenance" instead of a cure since there's a limit to how much I can change my work environment or activities, so I find myself coming back here at least once a month. read more

The lady was yawning through out the whole session, and it was rather painful then soothing. Once this torture was all over. They demanded a big tip.
