Massage Envy Beverly Hills is the first place I've gotten a massage from and I'm glad it was. I got a massage with DeShawn not too long ago and it was amazing. She respected any boundaries I had (including letting me keep my shirt on and not massaging any place I would rather she not touch) and really helped my shoulders and back feel much better. The manager was so helpful and friendly, as were the other people working behind the counter. They are way more flexible with your membership then other locations. I got the full body massage with a sugar foot scrub. I am on my feet working all the time and the foot scrub is heavenly. I also got a facial and felt completely refreshed by the time I left. The prices were reasonable, the atmosphere was very serene, and the staff were simply lovely. From the first moment I walked in, I was greeted by a sweet and chipper young manager, Maggie, who pleasantly directed me to sit in their tranquility room as I waited for Elli, my massage therapist. I didn't have to wait long. She was very thorough and released so much tension in my back and shoulders. I had an overall very relaxing experience. I highly recommend this massage envy. Whether your first massage or frequent, I believe their skill as therapists combined with the atmosphere and quality care guarantees that I'll be back again. Lastly, I'd get a membership if you plan on going regularly as I do. This place is determined to scam you out of your money!! I signed up last year and was promised by the front desk clerk that I could sign up for only 3-4 months as a "trial period" and then cancel if I needed to. When I went to cancel after 4 months, I was told it wasn't an option and I HAD to be a member for a year. Then, when I went to cancel my membership (which you can only do after 12 months), they wanted to charge me for an extra month since it takes "30 days to process" - but when I complained, because I'd already been forced to be a member for 8 months longer than I could afford, the manager, Alison, checked her computer and found that it WAS in fact in their records that I had the option of canceling after 3-4 months. It cost me an extra $552 (8 months of membership) because one of their front desk employees didn't check the computer, and INSISTED I wasn't allowed to cancel. And even better, the manager handled the situation horribly. She agreed not to charge me for the extra month, but offered no refund, no gift cards, NOTHING in return for forcing me to be a member for an extra 8 months when it was in my original contract that I didn't have to be. read more

Kayla is absolutely wonderful! I started getting massages from her after suffering from a herniated disc in my lower back last year. Massages were one of the only things that helped with the pain. Unfortunately, since my back was so tender, I often found massages to be quite painful and would tense up. But Kayla knew just what to do. She's excellent at assessing exactly how much pressure to use and worked with me on breathing techniques and stretching exercises for me to do at home. She really cares about her clients and will go above and beyond for them. If you are going to Massage Envy in Beverly Hills, definitely ask for Kayla. read more

I have been a member of Massage Envy for 8 years and at this location for 5. They have gone under an ownership change but for the most part service is good at the front desk. I have had great massages from great Therapists. I have been going to Terrance over the last 6+ months and he is awesome. Always is kind, respectful and listens to your needs. Very happy to find Massage Envy! I became a member after my first massage and love it. I have at least 2 massage's a month, and that makes the membership extremely cost effective. I was a professional dancer, and suffer from a lot of pain due to years of injuries, and need experienced Massage Therapists with thorough knowledge and understanding of how dancer/athlete bodies need healing. I agree with J.A. Byron SERIOUSLY ROCKS. I've been getting massages my entire life but he did an amazing job. I was disapointed that in order to get the discounted price I'd have to become a member i.e. committed to a massage once a month (charged to my credit card) otherwise it doubles in price. With Touch Massage Boutique across the street and no commitment they will probably get my business. I think Massage Envy is losing business this way - they need to rethink their program. read more

Massage Envy is not great across the board, I am a member there and I have had both good and blah massages, However I did fin one therapists named Kim at the Mission Viejo ( Marguerite location) and she is fantastic!!! i wont go to any one else, even if that means I may not get in when I want she is just that great. The massages here are not very good. Massage Envy is very hit and miss. My one hour massage was actually 50 minutes.

I enthusiastically signed up as a member, as a way of taking good care of myself. I am very disappointed, in the 10 months I have been a member, I have booked massages every month, I have had maybe one good massage. Maybe 2. When I tried to book the same therapist again, I found that one had left and the other was fully booked. I was able to book with the therapist I like, got there, and found that my appointment was not recorded and had to go home without a massage. I am trying to end my membership 2 months early, it is definitely not worth it. I am sorry to say I would not recommend them. read more

I was trying to go to the Massage Envy in West Hollywood and their customer service was not that great. It took forever to try and get an appointment and when my friend and I did they cancelled on us at 8pm the night before. When I called the Beverly Hills Massage Envy they had wonderful customer service and My friend and I were to schedule day of. They were flexible and made sure to accommodate as best they could. The manager Joshua is super informative and sweet. We were greeted kindly and were given water as we waited in a tranquility room that was peaceful and comfortable. I had Terence as my massage therapist. He was so nice and made sure to pay attention to detail to the spots on my body which needed most work. I enjoyed my experience so much that I ended up getting a membership. The memberships are so worth it. After coming from the massage I feel more clear and calm. read more

It's really hard to give them a single star at this point. I wanted to give myself a day to cool off after visiting the location yesterday. I was in the tranquility room and a lady comes in with her dog. One of the lady's from the front desk let's the woman know that dogs are not allowed. I let them know I was allergic to dogs and her dog was walking around all the guest and she was there with a gentleman who they suggested that he could wait out front with her dog. She then starts cussing and making a big fuss about how she need the dog for medical reasons and I let them know of my medical reasons which she fails to produce any paperwork to the fact. The Owner comes to speak with her and she is still cussing at me and calling me names and the owner does nothing and not even offering an apology or asking her to stop and intern goes against her rules and allows the person to keep the dog inside and take it with her during the massage. I asked myself why and all I can come up with is that I guess being African American and spending my money in this location I wasn't even offered the respect that a person who my The locations rules and speaking with the owner not once did I receive any apology for being viciously attacked by this woman. So long story short I will be canceling my membership and I'm asking all my friends whom also joined under my recommendation to do. The reception area they were very friendly, the wait was short, overall a very positive experience. It was a bit on the pricy end or else i would go every other day . I just received the best massage I've ever had here. I went to the Beverly Hills location which is just a few blocks from my home. I get massages regularly and was happy to find a place so near my house. Why two stars? After my awesome massage, I went to the front desk to pay and I was planning on scheduling another massage. Immediately, the woman behind the counter launched into her hard sell sales pitch (obviously trained to do so). I tried several times to talk, but I wasn't allowed to get a word in edgewise. Finally, after several attempts to speak, I put up my hand and said that I was getting really annoyed by her hard sell. She said " I'm not trying to sell you anything" and then launched back into her script. I couldn't leave because I hadn't paid. Finally, I had to raise my voice to be heard over her and just handed her a gift card and told her that she had just undone all the good my massage had done. I was so aggravated and more tense when I left than when I got there. I just walked out without scheduling another appointment. I would NOT recommend going here. I'm going to try to find out if the amazing therapist works elsewhere and I'll go there! read more

Quite possibly the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I generally don't write a lot of reviews (negative ones for that matter) but I feel it's really important that people understand just how awful this establishment is. The 2 owners need to really pay attention to the people they are hiring, not to mention their ridiculous "policies". The dismissive and pretentious front desk people need to be taught the proper skills to communicate to clients in person and over the phone. The manager Ana is not personable or helpful in any way. It is no wonder the same 1 star reviews all have the same experience here. I have referred many friends here, but after my several failed attempts to receive good service, my friends and I have cancelled our memberships and will not be referring or saying anything nice about this place. You should never underestimate the power of word of mouth. I regret coming here. read more

they have great massage therapists and i probably would have stayed with them if it wasn't for their membership policy. you can't just buy one massage at a time (or maybe you can, but it's twice the normal price). they suck you into this membership deal that requires a commitment of at least one massage per month. i suffered with that for a while- maybe 2 years, but finally cut them loose when they had me sign a paper with fine print saying that i agreed to auto-renewal of my membership. when i asked what i was signing, they told me it was just the same contract that i always sign- but that wasn't the case. i never had auto-renewal before. and who is going to read the fine print on a long document like that right after coming out of the most relaxing massage?? so when i discovered the charge on my credit card the next month and complained about it, they said all they could do is offer me a free extra 15 minutes on top of my regular hour massage for that month. not even a discount, and forget about canceling the charge. so i switched to Massage Garage and i've been happy ever since. read more
