I recommend that you do NOT get any services at the Canton Massage Envy location. Their customer service is terrible. They mixed up my appointment time and day and I was charged for their mix-up. I was given 30min massage when I had booked one hour massage and I was still charged for a 1 hour massage. They will not refund my money. This location is NOT helpful in any way to resolve their mistake. I am very frustrated, I will NOT be returning and will inform all of my friends not to attend this location as well. Since I find massages to be too painful, I was excited to see that Massage Envy now offers stretching appointments. First I was left waiting for 10+ minutes to only find out that my therapist was a no-show, then the person that did my stretching session smelled like BO. Overall very unhappy with the experience. I have tried to reach out to cancel an appointment this morning. My fiance came down with Covid so I am quarantining until I know something. When I called the number, a girl answered the phone - said it wasn't the number but caller ID shows that it is. I just don't want to be charged for an appointment that I can't keep. If you can book an appointment online there should be a way to cancel online.At the very least answer the phone or have a voicemail option. read more

The massage was basic by far, paid extra for a hand and foot scrub, it was so not noticeable and mediocre it was a waste of my money and massage time. They are crooks! Pls make sure to ask what exactly you are paying for - they cheat people on time (massage times are 15 mins short for 60 mins and waste time in paper work, unnecessary repeat signature, getting water etc.), they cheat people on money (pls make sure you ask what exactly are you paying); the front staff is utterly rude and have no manager to call things - those ladies in the front will bully you to extort money. Omg! My review is the first and going to persuade all of you to go to Massage Envy in Canton, MI, NOW! So, let me premise by saying I travel a lot. I spent two years in Japan and back and forth to Australia, Hong Kong, Singapore and finally back to the states to San Diego. I am a fitness buff (if only I could not be a foodie) so needless to say I workout a lot and have quite the soreness from time to time. I love getting massages. I have been getting massages from all over the world. The foot massages in Hong Kong are to die for~ but this review is about Massage Envy in Canton, MI today! ***I know you're probably not going to believe me, but this massage I had yesterday was probably one of the best ever!*** I travel to Detroit on business every so often so I am really sad to say I can't come here as much as I would like to!!! Devin was amazing! If I could have him travel with me all the time I would! I asked for deep tissue for my needs and boy did he provide! He hit all the spots I identified as bothersome and then he did more! I got 90 minutes and could have went for 120, but didn't have the time. If you want to try this location, ask for Devin. He is the lead therapist for a reason; he's really good! Other than the fabulous massage, the location and staff were great too! The massage studio is very clean and by the looks of it, very new! The staff who I talked to on the phone (Alexa) was very polite and the staff who greeted me at the time of appointment (Nicole) was awesome as well. No hustle into a membership, gave me the information that I needed and let me know my options. It was wonderful. Again, this is just my personal review. I like Massage Envy because it is a corporation and they choose to employ licensed massage therapists who have had the training and experience to provide services that you want/desire/need. Beware of this location! I was a long term customer and just experienced the rudest manager I've encountered in a long time. I am shocked they are still open if this is the quality of their management. I was promised a pause in my membership until I was ready to come back after the pandemic, only to call and be rudely talked to for asking a question politely. I now see why their ratings are so low here, and I warn you not to waste your time trying to call this place and talk to a manager worth your time. Find somewhere local with a manager who will answer the phone with respect to her customers, because Laurie proved she needs a new job or communication training, at minimum! read more

WORST FACIAL I HAVE EVERY RECEIVED!!! Jamie is not the one to book with. Not only did I not have a pillow to comfort my head, she aimed the steamer right at my face where it was hard to breath and she said it would only last for a short period but also NEVER gave me a face massage. (That to me is the best part) and when I asked about it she tells me she had to hurry up so she can clean for her next client. Talk about bad customer service. When she was done I got up and told her a I felt dizzy in return she had no advice on what I should do. I felt rushed and no relief. (I ended up with a 2 day headache) Then at the end of the service she offered me a product for $300 to purchase .. IS SHE SERIOUS! I don't even know how my skin will react to the product and you want me to buy the whole kit! And to top it off when I get to the car I look in the mirror to Find a great amount of access product in various spots on my face. After talking to my friend who referred me this ended up being the wrong Girl and she had taken someone else's client. I started with ME when I worked 12 to 14 hours a day on my feet typing, talking on the phone, and generally working with my hands a lot. It seemed like every time I went in for an appointment I had a different area of complaint. Each massage therapist was attentive, professional, and listened to my concerns and worked with me to relieve the problem areas. I have since moved to a new state and ME has made it easy to continue getting massages without interruption. I have used 3 locations in 2 states and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE them all. read more

I started a membership this year at the Canton,MI. location. No personal favorites so far, the service is either okay or I just haven't found a good therapist. Yesterday, Martha did a great job on my facial. At the end she recommended an overpriced take home product. Usually I don't mind paying more for quality but this was a product I never heard of before. Be careful if you make a retail purchase here, in fact go online. The Receptionist nor managers (Nicole no last name apparently) aren't educated on return policies. I Changed my mind on the product before leaving the store. The receptionist pretty much tried to stick me with a product that I didn't want. I never left the store or open the box. I lefty the product there hoping the manger would reverse the transaction. She caused more stress in a "stress reducing environment. I had to come back the next day and wait for the manager. Apparently she couldn't call me back over the phone. The receptionist went from pleasant to defensive protecting the "non-existing policy." Please don't defend a corporation that won't empower you beyond appointment setting. Put your people before policy and if it's a corporation worth working for they will understand your use of common sense. Hopefully the Northville location is better! read more

Not only did my massage therapist forget to massage half my body, she also made me feel so uncomfortable with the small talk during my massage. She was so negative about everything she talked about. She also stated she felt so bad for me because I was a nurse. She said being a nurse was a horrible, smelly job. I called to speak to a manager and was told I would receive a follow up call because they were out of the office for the day. I never received a call. read more
