It was initially hard to get an appt during weekends but since I work now from home I can go during the week. I have been going to Natalie and she is awesome. She always check to see what are my trouble areas. She is very professional but is not afraid to work the areas you need. She has to play the piano because her fingers are magical. Went in for a facial today and scheduled with a different person than usual. Her name was Paris. She had a very light touch. But she really didn't say a word during the entire appointment, didn't tell me what she was doing or what she was putting on my face and honestly, she spent more time massaging my arms and shoulders than she did on the actual facial. It felt good but it's not what I was there for. I will stick with Kristen in the future. Maybe there's a reason Kristen had no available appointments on a Saturday morning and Paris did. My family and I have been a member at Massage Envy Canton since 2011 (about 12 years). Cody and his staff has always given us excellent service. My massage therapist, George, is the best therapist I have ever had. He is so amazing at what he does that there is a waiting list to see him. Showed up today for a massage. Front desk comes back 5 minutes after it was supposed to start. My masseuse is running late coming back from lunch. Last time I was in the came back 15 minutes and told me no massage, schedule problem. TWO in a row. I am one of your loyal customers, but you are trying my patience. read more

Purchased the monthly package for my husband for his birthday. He tried out the Canton location in May. They asked him for his card to leave a tip and when they asked him the amount he simply said "whatever 15% would be" and declined the receipt. He was quite shocked to see the charge on his card was $25! Considering the recommendation on signage is $14-$22 for the service he received, the cashier certainly took advantage of my husbands trust in the moment-as well as did not honor his percentage request as the retail cost of the massage was not over $150.... Also, at both visits utilized he was not called back until after his appointment time, quickly undressed etc to stay in 10 minutes window and his massages we both under 40 minutes- no where near an hour. Management reached out with a link - still waiting on response. read more

George is the absolute best. He has helped me with focusing on my problem areas and the contributing factors. He is extremly knowledgeable and continually looking for ways to improve his knowledge. I like how he integrates his holistic chinese medicine knowledge with american massage and will continue to stay with him. 90 minutes never seems like enough time but poor George must be exhausted when he is done working out my knots and kinks. I know I feel it for several days but then the soreness wears off and life is good. Thank you George for giving me some relief in a chronic condition. read more

It was ok. The one hour is not actually a full hour; it was more like 35 minutes, even though I got there early. I was in bad need of soft tissue repair after recently being rear-ended by a knucklehead. I was excited to try out this chain for the first time but in actuality it was not what I expected; The first time special didn't feel all that special. I was hoping for a good deep tissue massage... I was expecting zen-type music with very soft lighting and soft scents emanating from somewhere (that was a cotton ball by your nose). I really should drop my high expectations but maybe it would be easier to just try a new place. read more

When I go for a massage, I schedule my appointments to see Donna - she is the perfect blend of pressure point massage, with a touch of deep tissue when needed, and also does reflexology which helps with my tired feet when I have been all them all day. Massage Envy Saving my debit Card on File and Charging it without my CONSENT. I bought my wife a gift certificate for Massage Envy a few times, never have signed up for a membership. A few days ago (end of January) I see a charge for $120, so I review my bank account and see that there was a $60 charge from Massage Envy in November. So I go to the store and ask them about the charge, what I get from the staff there is that somehow my wifes acct number got switched to another members account and the charges are that members monthly membership fees. This is where it gets strange. Evidently beginning in November they began charging us for the other members monthly membership fees of $60. However, near the end of December I lost my debit card and had to have it replaced. So the $120 charge we saw at the end of January was for Dec and January membership as my old card was no longer valid. I asked the staff member how they got my new card, he indicated they have a service that can see if your old card has been replaced and it has the ability to update for your new card. Sorry, that's just scary. Anyway I was told I would be receiving a refund and the manager would be calling me. Never got a call from the manager Amanda as promised, so I had to call myself and request the call back. The owner did call me back. Told me that the account number was not switched as I was originally told, but somehow there was another account with my same name somewhere else outside of Canton, and that when my new card was issued it triggered the erroneous charges. Sorry but this is complete BS, my original card was charged in November and my new card was charged in January. If my new card triggered the error than how was my original card charged in November. Regardless, the fact that is they are storing your debit card information without consent, and have to ability to "find" your replacement card should you ever have the original stolen or lost. Additionally, how efficient is there system when it make charges for somebody else's account. Asked them to delete all our information from their system, since canceling my card is useless as they have to ability to find any replacement card. I'm trusting they did this. With all the card fraud out there I find this situation very troubling from Massage Envy, be very wary and watch your statements. As far as I'm concerned they gave me a false excuse and are not to be trusted. I've seen vendors who are struggling with cash flow makes these "mistakes" in the past to help them get some float and carry them through tough patches. read more

After having a massage on Monday, the manager called me 2 days later to tell me that he noticed my check in and out time was longer than usual (my therapist was a bit late but I still got the full 50 min)...so without my calling or prompting or complaining at all he credited me an extra 30 minutes on my next massage. So I've never tried a place like this, I like the concept. For me. mmy job means I work 9-7 pretty much 4 weekdays and every Saturday so to try and find a place that offers massage on my schedule is difficult. I went in thinking probably not going to be the best massage but I needed one there hours are perfect for me cause I get done at work around 7:30 or 8 and you can still get in for a 2 hour massage if you want from 8-10.I met Norma she's great with the experience and knowledge she goes the extra mile to support her clients and make your time relaxing.. On Saturday I had a facial with Sharon, she was an absolute dream. Upon check out I heard of an opening for a massage the next day so I said I wanted it. But when I called to book my facial I inquired about a massage as I have two herniated disks and fibromyalgia and massage helps out a lot. So I was 5 minutes away Massage Envy called me to cancel the appointment saying that the manager will call me as to the reason why. I was in so much pain and the disappointment just made me upset. Anyone that has fibromyalgia knows that getting upset only makes the body hurt more. I don't think calling a client 5 minutes before they walk through the door to cancel is not a good practice. I called another massage spa and booked an appointment. I don't know if I would go back or not. I still haven't made up my mind. I don't want to book another massage appointment only to have it cancelled with 5 minutes of arrival time! Disappointing for sure!! read more

Very disappointed to say the least. I have never before left a bad review, until today! After 2 massages I cancelled the membership. In all fairness, I cancelled and it was shy of the 10 day window by 2 days. But because I had such a bad experience with my therapist (I was paired with the incorrect one and her intensity gave me an injury) I wanted to request a reimbursement. From the moment I called, after I mentioned my dissatisfaction the front desk associate listened but said.. sorry no reimbursement. I then asked politely since I worked with the public before and let's face its, is not her fault I was charged. She changed her tone immediately. She transferred me to Hailey (an area manager?). I her attitude was not any better (I called her out on it and did not liked it, even more tone). After explaining my situation, she asked if I was supposedly hurt by the therapist - I should have brought in my Dr. Doctor bill? other people do that??? What, who says that??? ok then... my response, I guess I could have but instead I just decided to cancel the membership. But told her I could bring it if she wanted it... I tried to explained again why I wanted the refund... she interrupted and said "I am sure you don't want to repeat the story as I don't want to hear it" You are going to tell everyone of what a horrible place this is... I corrected her and said No, I will say to anyone that ask beware of what therapist you are paired with because they can mess you up! I received my refund, but the bad review goes. Not for the Therapist - or for the way I was treated during the massage. The bad review goes for their lack of customer service that Hailey clearly did not care during our conversation. Sadly this bad review could have been easily corrected if they would have raised to the level of service they are expected to provide. They are spa- is a service industry. Not asking much here... treat people nice and with empathy and you will get repeat customers. read more

Worst massage I ever had! Then I find out that you only get 50 minutes (which seemed more like 45 min.) not 60 as advertised. They deduct for undressing and using the restroom! Its kind of a gimmick because they want you to sign a contract to become a member in order to get their advertised price! read more

This is my 2nd visit at this location and my last. I told my therapist on the first visit to work a lot on ,my neck and shoulders and i got 5 minutes on those areas! This was discussed with the time of booking and in detail with the therapist since this is my main area of concern. I chalked it up to a new therapist just not mindful of the time. The second visit came and i told the front desk the same issues and i needed a therapist that was great with the shoulders and neck and also discussed this in the room before the massage. Listening is not one of their highest qualities as i got 2 swoops of the neck and shoulders and that was it. I regret the day i ever joined, this is a rip off franchise and i will not re new. This is my 3rd location looking for a therapist that can listen and provide a great massage in one package. How hard is that to find? I have to say I also had high expectations, the massage was alright honestly, the pressure was not there as I asked, I have had better, no disrespect just being truthful. But I felt as though I was pressured to getting a membership. Business seemed as similar to your cell phone bill if you get my drift. I know it is my choice to say no but the receptionist seem like she wouldn't let me check out and leave without signing up for it. For instance she had asked me if I would like to sign up for it and I said "mmm no thank you Maybe next time" and I was really considering it even though It was an alright massage but I was going to talk about it with the husband and see if he wanted to also, I wanted time to think about it, just not at that moment! she kept on insisting and had asked "why not,whats the problem?" and kept talking about it and insisting when I kept saying "NO THANK YOU" so politely. I have stood there for more than 5 minutes or so wanting to just be checked out but she kept going on about it, and so I finally caved in and ended up paying more than $200 when I was just hoping to pay just for the massage I got. yeah i know right kill me now for that. I pretty much just gave away money to have her check me out cause then I knew right then and there I was not even going to make another appointment. I felt like I wasn't going to get out of there. I'd say it was rude when she didn't respect the first no. For someone not respecting a few hints of "no" I believe im not going back.
