I had a really pleasant appointment with Jacory last Thursday and rebooked with him, but I never received a confirmation. I called 20 minutes before the appointment just to check, and they informed me I was actually scheduled for March. However, they offered to see me at the same time. When I arrived, I ended up waiting for 20 minutes before asking what was happening, only to find out he was with another customer ‍. They should have communicated that from the start. I wasted my morning waiting for this appointment and no apologies was given at all. read more

October 2020 I had a one hour swedish massage session with Samantha and she is absolutely incredible. Upon arrival to the check in desk, i signed in using an ipad, which I noted my focus areas of tension. Once Samantha was in the room, she reviewed those areas with me, made sure the room tempersture was comfortable for me and she started the massage. She was very tuned in with my muscles, which she noticed some areas were a bit more problematic than others, so she allocated a bit more time in those areas and less time in the less tensed areas. She was consistent with the firm pressure throughout session and I felt sooooo much relief at the conclusion. Afterwards Samantha offered additional tips on what I can do going forward to help in the relief and she has a very pleasant attitude, soooo professional. If it wasn't for the membership required to get a decently priced massage at this facility, I would go and use Samantha for every massage ever in life. read more

I went to Massage Envy - Willowbrook location for my birthday in October 13th. Everything was great on that day. However, I booked for a second massage in November 14. I totally forgot about the massage, but I also did not get a confirmation call either. When I got my massage back in October, I was not told that if I did not show, I would be charged $125. I looked in my bank account on Monday, 11/16 and they had deducted $125. I called the location and spike to Hailey, the store manager. I explained to her what happen. She stated she called me and left a voicemail. I told her that I have no missed calls from Massage Envy from Saturday.She had a little attitude about it and told me she could give me $10 back. The fuck you will not.I asked her was the no show/cancellation fee in their paperwork that I signed when I got my first massage back in October" she stated No. It's done verbally.Really??? Ya'll need to change your policy.. Well guess what, I will be disputing it with my bank and I will never recommend it to no one else. read more

I love my masseuse! Her name is Denise. She's been doing this for over 10+ years now. She massages in a way that it relaxes my back. At other massage places, I normally leave feeling good, but I would feel the soreness from the pressure the following day. Currently, I'm at 33 weeks into my pregnancy so the lower back pain has been unbearable. Denise was able to massage my back in a way where she didn't have to apply heavy pressure, but yet it released all the tensions. I will definitely go back to see her! If it's your first time at massage envy, their intro rates are $50 even for prenatal massages. I would at least give her a try! I also like her for suggesting Michael, who is her coworker. She said if I like heavier pressure, he's the one to go to. I like how she tries not to hog all the clients, but is humble enough to recommend her own peers. Love that about her! read more

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! I have been a Massage Envy member since 2007 and LOVE the business concept. I've visited Massage Envy locations all over Houston and Austin and have found some really amazing massage therapists. I wanted to share the "Massage Envy" love by buying my aunt a gift certificate, which she could then redeem at the Willowbrook location (which is right by her house). WHAT A MISTAKE!! My aunt had to reschedule the first appointment she had set up, and the receptionist told her it would be no problem. She said she wouldn't "officially cancel it" because if it was "officially cancelled," it'd be considered a no-show and the gift card would be cancelled. My aunt appreciated the honesty and called back a little later to schedule a new appointment. She was shocked and surprised to hear that the gift certificate had been marked as used. They asked my aunt to call back in 30 minutes and talk to the manager. Everything was worked out and they told her to go in that Thursday at 7pm. She arrived at 6:45 p.m. and was kindly greeted by a male receptionist. However, a lady receptionist came to the desk a few minutes later and brusquely told her, "Your appointment was at 6pm. We have to charge your gift card as a no-show." My aunt, who is totally non-confrontational, struggled to tell her, "No, I spoke to Christy, the appointment was at 6pm." The lady said, "Well, we don't have a massage therapist- come back at 8:30 p.m." My aunt stayed in her car and waited for two hours, only to finally get the massage she had been waiting for- someone who was clearly inexperienced and didn't know what they were doing. SO MUCH FOR THAT. The entire ordeal left my aunt with a bad taste in her mouth, which to me is such a shame. I've been successful in converting a lot of people to Massage Envy members- my sister, my mom and two of my co-workers to name a few. My aunt could have been amongst that list.... but not anymore. read more

I love this place! I started a membership at another location and got injured doing Crossfit so I was in need of a sports massage. I was told Michael was the best at Sport massages and he really is. I'm now a regular at this location. I do want to make sure you understand that a sports massage is in no way relaxing. In fact I was in some serious pain during my massage but I was at my wits end and I needed to regain mobility in my arm. Slowly but surely Michael helped me achieve it. I'm a faithful client now. These guys are the McDonald's of massage. It's a chain massage company that tries to sucker you into a membership. Yes, they are cheap, but buyer beware. You will get a massage, but don't expect much. There are other chains out there that do a better job of hiring massage therapists who haven't just got a license last week. I am not going to mention the other ones out of respect for this business, but do your research and ask around or look up reviews. But the old adage stays true....You get what you pay for, especially when it comes to this business. read more

Never been to a Massage Envy, my good friend is a member and goes all the time. So I wanted to get her a gift card for a message. Walked in they looked her up in the computer and gave her the member price. The place was clean and the staff was friendly. I can not speak to the actual services, but I am sure that as with other locations some technicians are better than others. You just need to find someone you like and stick with that person. I have also heard that on Sunday's teachers get a 90 min message for the 60 min price. read more

I've been waiting my whole life (ok not really) to be a member of a massage club. As a journalist, I'm constantly sitting at a computer, stressing, writing, editing, tilting my neck to the side to hold my telephone while typing. I need this. I should probably figure out if there's a way I can write this off. Since I added myself onto my mom's account, I only pay $49 a month! I can't believe I can get a 60-minute massage for $49 a month. My second visit was much better than my first. My first visit was about a year ago. I excepted the receptionists to be as professional as they are in Austin and they're not. My massage last year left a lot to be desired. I think my therapists name is Denise but I can't be sure of that. She seemed to genuinely not care about the massage. My massage yesterday was with a guy named Chris and he was AWESOME. It was the best massage I've ever had. At the time of check out a woman, who was not the same woman I spoke with when I first got there, redeemed my pre-paid massage instead of using the form of payment I initially discussed with them. I don't often say negative things about another business, but an agreement I made with Massage Envy management after a bomb scare is not being honored by the new franchisee and it might cost me over $1000. If anyone is considering a subscription with massage envy.. don't. I became a massage envy subscriber a few years ago, but then like a lot of people, i got busy and massages began to build up. After a bomb scare while doing a couples massage, I got a call from management asking what they could do to get me to keep my membership. Management agreed to let my fiance and I use the massages to catch up if I wouldn't cancel my membership.In December the franchise ownership changed and they are reneging on the deal and only allowing me to use them. I have over $1000 in massages backlogged. If I quit because they reneged, they will keep the money. They said they could pause the credit card payments, but then I couldn't access the massages. Then they said they could pause and let me use up the massages I already paid for... for an additional $20 a month. They will only do that for 6 months... so I'm faced with letting them go or taking the time away from running my businesses to go a minimum once or twice a week Do NOT sign up for the subscription and if you ever find yourself getting even one month behind... CANCEL!! A main profit source comes from keep the dollars you paid for massages without having to pay the therapist. Over $1000 in my case, just for running the credit card once a month, unless I pay $20/mo until they are used up. read more

I've been to many Massage Envy locations and decided to try this one out. I got a Deep Tissue with Sylvia and it was hands down the best massage i've ever had. In all my past experiences, the therapists never massage with enough pressure. I always leave feeling relaxed but have never felt like they actually got any knots out, relieved tension ect. Sylvia on the other hand, totally exceeded my expectations. She worked out my knots, relieved all tension, and focused on my problem areas. I felt like she really cared. I left feeling so much better and actually felt like I got my money's worth this time. I will never go to another therapist. Shoutout to Sylvia! This woman deserves a medal. Seriously. read more

I have been a member with Massage Envy since 2006 and have seen it improve over the years. The first therapist I went to was not very good . However I continued to come and try out therapist until I found the right one for me. I met Sophia and she was wonderful. One day I dropped in and Sophia was not in so I received a massage from Shaun WOW!!! is all I can say. I was a patron with him for over a year . Unfortunately my schedule changed and I had to change therapist. Currently I receive massage from Serloyd and he does an outstanding job. All of them are very professional and really take time to find out what your needs are at each session. Customer service is excellent from the staff at the front desk to the therapist. This place SUCKS! I've had nothing but bad experiences with this branch. One time I had an appt and they "accidentally" sent everyone to lunch so there was no one there to give a massage. They wanted me to wait another 30 minutes for someone to show up. I have to arrange a lot of things to carve out a window of time for a massage. I don't have time for stupid mistakes like this. THEN unfortunately last Christmas I got THREE give certs to this place but every time I tried to come in they said they're too busy. NOW they've told me that if I'm not a member I need to plan a week ahead of time. I HATE this place so much!!! read more

Management is very unprofessional. I have had a membership for 10 years started at the Willowbrook location but when I moved and wanted to cancel my membership l was encouraged to freeze the membership, pay $10 a month and use up my massages. I had to pay for a massage and re-enroll in this every six months. Last fall I called and was told I couldn't do that again. It was right before Hurricane Harvey and because of that, I went on a six month no use freeze. As the six months was coming to an end, I called to cancel my membership. The person I spoke to told me I needed to wait until the freeze period was over or I would be charged for the current month. He sent me the cancellation form and told when to send it back. When I opened my bank account on that date,Massage Envy had drafted against my account. I was upset and decided to send an email asking about this. No response by midday so I called. Explained I wanted to speak to the manager. Was put on hold and then told that the manager had stepped out. I explained to the lady what I needed and she said that they received the email but her manager was gone for the day. I told her to have the manager call me when she came in the next day. Still no call and credit to my bank account. I am walking away from $1000 in massages and I don't want them to get a penny more. read more

I finally set up an appointment for a massage to use my Mother Day Gift Certificate. Checking in was easy...they offer you infused water and have you fill out some forms to better help your Massage Therapist know what your needing. My therapist was great...thou I asked not to have to much talking because I wanted to totally relax..I always start yapping my self. She gave me a great massage and I was suprised time went by soo fast. Again..me chatting. I would recommend you read other reviews and maybe even message reviewers for advice or recommendation on Therapist. I called requesting a certain person but she was only there in evenings. Definitely if you walk in..buyer beware. There were a few creapy looking guys there. Because this place wants you toe desperately Join as a member It turns me off. I love the therapist I have at Massage Envy - Willowbrook (Tammy). Tammy is always very friendly, professional and most of all always has a smile on her face. I have never had a massage therapist that is so concerned about her clients. Tammy always ask me if I am having any problems before she starts my treatments & then triggers her massage on my needs. I have had problems with swelling in my leg for sometime & Tammy has been able to work my leg to where I can now walk around better without alot of swelling. Tammy is an awesome therapist I wish there were more like her. I always enjoy my massage treatments w/Tammy I feel so relaxed when I am finished. Thank you Tammy for all your hard work it shows. Had guest in from out of town and requested 2 female employees for the massage and got their and they had booked one with a male. Also told me that I could transfer credits to other stores and when I tried to transfer 2 credits they said I was only able to tranfer 1 credit per month. They have horrible empolyees and I will not rene at that location. I will renew my membership at the Cypress store as they are helpful and have great employees. read more

Receptionists are rude and do not know how to perform basic job functions. They always seem to be sniffling and coughing which does nothing for the relaxation. If you find a therapist you favor, dont get comfy cozy because they will eventually never be available. You would think after having the same therapist for over a year, they would try to be flexible enough to schedule you in. read more

Worst customer service ever!!!!! When I purchased my membership at the WillowBrook location, it seemed an ideal location for me. However, my first 2 visits to the location, their were homeless people sitting outside the front door. So I changed to the Glenloch location and LOVE that the location not just because I didn't have to walk thru the homeless but because the level of customer service. I have had this membership for a year and a half. When I wanted to cancel my membership from the WillowBrook location, I used the Contact Us email form on their webpage, after 30 days without hearing from them, I called the WillowBrook location and was told that the email from THEIR webpage does not go to them and that they had no record of my cancellation request. As if that was not bad enough, the young and disrespectful lady at that location was very sarcastic and rude and basically told me too bad so sad. I asked for their email address to submit my cancellation to their location and she gave me an email address that turned out, was incorrect. I then contacted that location again and was given a different email address. This time I am told their is a specific form I have to sign and then it will take 10 days to process followed by my required 60 day notice. So I warn anyone that may be considering the WillowBrook location to beware, this location sucks, don't do it! The Glenloch location offers exemplary customer service and is so much better in terms of their massage therapists. read more

The massage therapist was awesome; however when I had to cancel my membership it was an awful experience. I went into the store and completed the paperwork so the membership would be cancelled BEFORE the next billing cycle. They never processed it in the system so I got billed again. I tried calling but the phone was busy for three days. I drove to the store and explained what happened. They said it would be cancelled and refunded the next day and they would call me to confirm. Days later and I still hadn't heard from them. When I spoke with the manager, she confirmed my account was cancelled and the refund was processed (later than promised). When I asked about not getting a call back and the cancellation not being processed when promised, she said the phones were down and the way the system works it takes a couple of days. Extreme lack of empathy or concern for my experience. Also, when your phone goes down you should not use that as an excuse for poor customer service. The rep knew the phone was down when he made the promise to call me back. No one should have to make two trips to the store and many phone calls just to hold the office staff's hand for a cancellation. Massage Envy Willowbrook is quick to take the money from you but slow to return it when they make a mistake. read more
