Do not go to them. I purchased the membership that includes a complimentary massage once a month. They are poor at their job. One person smokes way too much and smells like it, which makes it hard to relax when you have an ashtray touching you. The other lady feels like Freddy Kruger is giving you a massage with her nails. The last one I got I had a knot in my back that I asked to get worked out and she failed at that. They give you free coupons for trying out new things, but they have no one who can do it. I reached out to book massage therapy for for soreness, pain, trigger points, etc. and was assured that they had someone that could provide the appropriate service. I got the "up-sell" to add a facial and stupidly went along with it. Big mistake and now I know better. The massage wasn't bad, but wasn't good either. He just did a lame rub-down that did nothing to help my issues. I was hoping that the facial would be better, but spoiler alert - it was horrible!! The woman talked non-stop very loudly about stressful things while she would just glop something on my face and then wipe it off almost immediately after (x3). No explanations, no extractions, no relaxation even! I didn't know that a facial could be stressful until that day. What a sad waste of time, money, and serenity. I like the massage therapists and feel the customer Svc; starting from corporate, to management and assistant manager, is a disservice to this industry. The location is not clean, customer service relays the horrific breakdown of their business. I Think it would be best to always keep the customer happy. A customer of several years or better, would show that repeat Svc. Is based on therapist and not their customer service. Destiny, Not only is rude on the phone, but should go to customer service training to save Customer Relations instead of going out of her way to upset them, thus creating a frustrated consumer and also loss of a consumer for life. I am walking away from at least $700 of credits and services and TIPPING capability to their therapist, who are the heavy lifters. These girls, and even the regional manager have no idea what it takes to be a team. If you have credit with them, I would recommend calling Gulfport. And I say this because they will bend over backwards to accommodate, and the therapist are just as good if not better on most cases. This company does not have the capability of keeping the good ones, So the turnover is quite high. There are many other great locations to get a massage on the Gulf Coast, and eventually, if you like a therapist from massage envy, you could find them at any other place if not at the same time because they don't pay there enough money. First visit after being gifted a membership. I was a little apprehensive due to negative reviews, however, my experience was phenomenal. Welcoming staff, clean environment and punctuality. My masseuse was excellent. Courteous, informative and provided the perfect amount of pressure and technique. I booked two days prior and there was plenty of availability. I'm not sure about the complaints in other posts, but my experience was nothing short of spectacular. I would definitely recommend and must give praise to Kim, my masseuse. I've been to this particular location 3 times, and I have signed up. When service businesses began to be locked down in the first month, I was impressed that they (unprompted) asked me if I'd like a refund for the month, or would like an extra session. I commend the owners for that. In hind-sight, I should have asked for a month refund. Service businesses can only be as good as the people who are performing the service. Every time I've been here, I've clearly indicated exactly what I'm having issues with and exactly what I want done. I've pointed to the exact spot, drawn images, named the exact muscle. I've clearly said (verbatim), "dig your elbow in here, and just lean on this spot for an hour." It's not anything difficult I'm asking for. I don't know if the providers have only been taught a specific way to perform a massage, but every time, they have ignored what I've asked for. This last time (and it will be the last time), I was trying to be very specific in my instructions, but was always polite. No change. In fact, when we were done the provider was obviously aggrieved that I was trying to get him to focus on the one pain point in my upper back. He mumbled a few words and walked out. I attempted to make a 90-minute massage session online. I wasn't allowed online to book 90 minutes but could book 2- 1hr sessions online. Since the therapist that I wanted did have 2 - 1hour sessions back-to-back that I could possibly get a 90-minute massage, I called to get assistance booking the 90-minute session. I was informed that I COULD NOT BOOK 90-MINUTES! (even though the therapist had 2 hours available) They were willing to book the 2 hours at $140 but not the 90minute at $90. They offer good deals and late hours. We enjoyed a couples massage and were provided a chocolate covered strawberry (for v-day) at the end. This was my first time going to massage envy. I was pretty disappointed for a couple of reasons. The big one is during the massage you can hear people laughing and slamming doors in the hallway. It was not relaxing at all and the light in the room was pretty bright. When I told them about the noise they said I was in a bad room cause it was right next to the break room. Why even have a room there then. When they asked me to get a monthly membership and I told them about the noise the other women in the front desk got quiet and got an attitude. Made it pretty awkward and didn't ask IF I wanted to tip they bluntly said how much are you tipping. The only good thing I can say about the service is they offered another massage at the introductory price. Secondly when I was done the woman in the front asked how the pressure was and when I said not deep enough she seemed like she knew I would say that. I workout everyday so I needed a deep tissue massage... not gonna lie it felt like someone was just rubbing lotion on me. read more

Waited in tranquility room -- our Masseuse was late by 7 minutes. Which means we waited for nearly 27 minutes. We then were "consulted" for 5 minutes, and the message ended at 12:50 PM --- does that sound like 50 minutes of massage for $60? Nope. Not my fault your team was late. Also, per the nature of my conversation, their team knew I've had dozens of massages in my lifetime and very familiar. I also booked a deep tissue massage. I even communicated before and during my message that I needed deeper. Overall, I will not be coming back and I will be sharing my experience. I can get 90 minute massage for $75 and that's with a very experienced masseuse. Also - Message Envy membership program is a rip off -- make sure to read over their fee structure as it costs money to transfer your "free" massage and your friends can only use it once a month. I have had wonderful experiences at this facility. I have no complaints about the service or staff; however.... I joined the monthly plan. I'm 75 years old with serious health problems and have self isolated already for 5 months. I called to see if I could give my PAID unused sessions (9) to first responders or health workers since I will never be able to use them. I was told I could only give one a month at a cost to me of $20 more each session to a specific person. I know I signed a contract but in this pandemic I thought a little pay forward would be a boon to those are doing so much good and could use a break. It would have been good for their business since it would give exposure to people who might never use their facilities. read more

This place is all about wanting money. I got my very first facial as a gift. It was ok. But when I was done the girl had already rang up $150 worth of products she recommended for me without me saying I wanted them. After I told her to take them off she then proceeded to hand me a iPad with a monthly membership she put together for me. I had no idea how I felt about the facial or if I was going to wake up the next day with a swollen face and regret it so buying products that may or may not work and a membership was nothing I wanted to do instantly like they wanted me to. They are very pushy with it and it made me say I will never return or Recommend them to anyone. My face the next day was no different then when I went in there. The only positive thing I can say was it was relaxing. But for $130 I can relax with music in my hot tub at home. The massage therapist are nice and knowledgeable. First 5ish so minutes is designed for you to express your concerns to, your therapist. After that your in an out depending on your time. The masseuse was 8 minutes late into the massage and ended 2 minutes from the actual end time. It's not worth signing a contract and being committed to unpredictable service when you can receive better service, at your choice and convenience. It's pointless filling out a document or making an appointment if the service requested was not provided. Terrible experience on two separate occasions. I will never go there again. Our first visit we were pressured into a membership. The employee was so in my face - it was terrible. Booked an appointment for a couples massage and confirmed price when booked. Got there for our appointment and was informed the session was double the cost. When we stated we would not be staying because that was not the confirmed price, we were told there was a 50% session fee for canceling on the same day. Initially I was directed to massage envy for the purpose of removing ingrown hairs from my face. The staff was very helpful and professional. That was my initial impression. But, I was lied to. I verbally expressed my intent of having my ingrown hairs removed and it was written down by the staff on my initial paperwork. Not until yesterday , after rendering a $50 facial, did anyone express to me that no one there could remove my ingrown hairs. After speaking with Rachel and TJ , neither of them could give me any satisfaction. I even offered TJ if he could return half of my money that I paid I would let it go. I was lied to. This is unacceptable. I was totally mislead into believing that someone would remove these hairs. This location must be in a desperate situation to actually mislead a customer for only $50. I've been thinking about this since we left Massage Envy a few days ago. I took my wife and daughter in to get their facials, we currently have three plans, thankfully the contract ends next month, and the entire experience just irked me big time! My discontent lies here; We are paying close to $160 a month for services. Our schedule make it very difficult for us to get in there once a month so currently we're all sitting on at least four sessions each. I'm pretty sure your employees get paid a per hour rate and do not depend on tips to make a living. WHY after trying to relax you corner your clients in an attempt to squeeze more money out of them? Not only in tips but also in trying to sell more products? We see the shelf and are very aware of the items for sale. FYI, that takes away from the entire experience. I am pretty sure that there will be no more facials for us here and in using the 5 or 6 more appointments we have, I'm going to request that it be put on all of our accounts that no tips be asked of my wife or myself!
