I have been a loyal customer of the D'Iberville location for many years now. The girls on the sales floor have always been helpful, and I loved the product selection. However, after my visit today, I will be taking my business to the Sephora across the street. I was shopping in the hair section when I overheard a man in the salon (I am assuming he's a manger) LOUDLY berating a young female employee. Reprimanding employees should never be done in front of customers, and I could hear this man from a few aisles over where I was shopping. It was a very uncomfortable experience, and I do not want to support a business who believes it's ok to treat their staff this way. read more

Im not blaming the stylist because I honestly don't really think it's her fault, I understand some things are just procedure, but Ive booked for a brow-bar appointment THREE TIMES and all three times my appointment had been cancelled, first cancelled cause the stylist was sick, so its rescheduled, then my next appointment I go all the way to the ulta, only to find out the stylist isn't even at work due to an emergency (not mad at that) but nothing notified me that my appointment would be cancelled so I just stood there all dumb at the bar until I had asked the staff who notified me about it, I reschedule, then my next appointment I go in, stand by the BROW BAR because my service is for EYEBROWS, and again, Im waiting all dumb. The store was busy so it took me a few minutes to speak with staff and I ask them about my appointment, they direct me to the salon, and while Im trying to weave through to the back of the store the stylist called me which I didn't see. I make it to the salon and I let them know about the appointment only for the stylist to say she cant do the appointment because IM LATE???????? which yes, my appointment was for 12:00 but I WAS LITERALLY IN THE STORE AT 12.. I told her I was waiting by the brow bar because I had assumed thats where the service would take place and she explained that the store does not currently have a brow benefit worker so the salon is currently doing the services, which explains the empty brow station, but my service still couldn't be done, so we rescheduled it AGAIN. I feel like the worst part is that not only was the time frame for late appointments so small, getting the call at 12:04 about how my appointment was now cancelled due to being late and leaving the store at like 12:07 after talking to the stylist, so all under 10 minutes. Im just extra confused because whenever I would come in for cuts on time I would have to wait for the stylists to finish up, which makes me puzzled about how the scheduling works. I ended up cancelling the appointment and trying out the lash studio because this whole experience has made me feel frustrated and kinda embarrassed? Im not mad at the stylist, but this has just been wacky, the staff is really nice but idk.. Ulta needs to notify their customers better if they're gonna be all strict about appointments, my poor gas...a heads up would've been great... read more

Gracie has colored my hair twice, and it was not a great experience. The first time she colored my hair, it took me a few weeks to get the hair dye out of my hair. The second time she got done coloring my hair, it wasn't even close to how I wanted it. I didn't leave the store yet, and there was still hair dye in my hair. She only gave me wipes to get the hair dye out of my hair. read more

I can't compliment this Ulta enough! Having been to several different ones around us, I always felt they fell short, and I usually stuck to ordering my makeup online. After coming into this one recently I knew I had to use the salon services. I hadn't had my hair professionally done in two years (I know you can tell) But Kelsey was so patient with me and understanding as this was an emotional time for me. She made my hair goals come true and I don't think I could get this service and care anywhere else. I felt embarrassed when I would try to style my hair myself but Kelsey gave me plenty of tips and tricks and now I look forward to coming in. I cannot recommend Kelsey in the salon enough. SHE IS AMAZING! I made an appointment back in June 2020 hoping for a "lived in balayage" look. Unfortunately, I had some very dark, stubborn color that was difficult to lift in a single appointment. Kelsey safely and expertly treated my hair in three separate sessions. Today was my final session and I seriously could not be happier with the results. (See pics for my progress since June) My hair feels great and I love the way it turned out. Also, Kelsey is just an overall awesome human. She is super nice to talk to and you can tell she really cares for her clients. She is, without a doubt, a true expert in her field! If I could leave no stars I would. The manager, Kelly, was extremely rude and not understanding. Regardless of the time of year and how busy the store is, customer service employees should present themselves in a respectful manner. It is frankly classless and rude with how she handles her customers. We will not be shopping at this Ulta again and I hope everyone else thinks about how they would like to be treated before deciding to step into this store. read more

This is the best Ulta Salon you will find. It is hard to get lucky with a walk in appointment, but this particular one really knows what they are doing. They have Certified Redken Specialists working in the salon, and that is a HUGE plus, especially for color. I spoke with the new girl that does facials and try actually have a Spa room in the back of the store. Ulta is a great place for a quick pit stop to have a very affordable facial. It's way more affordable than the casinos and you get the same type of service with high end products, just not the super atmosphere. I would totally recommend coming here while traveling to get your beauty on. Plus they have the nicest staff in the south. read more

Come here with my wife about twice a month. They're always out of the items she needs and the customer service is Terrible. On top of that, you better be patient. Expect long waits in lines. They do not believe in opening more than two registers. They should fire the current management and hire new management to take a look into this the location and do a total makeover!! read more

Won't ever go back to this location. And they need to be reported for advertising a sale on items they don't carry. On Sunday the website advertised their 6 piece bare minerals set for $20 as their special offer during the 21 days of beauty event. I looked online to see if it was an online availability only item and it wasn't. Ulta puts a small circle that says online only next to whatever merchandise can only be purchased through their website. So we drove here to get my bare minerals. First off, 3 times I've been in that area of the store and all 3 times there's nobody covering it. After we just stood there staring at one of their associates for a while she finally came over. I showed her the ad and asked where it was cuz we didn't see it on the shelf. She said she didn't know. She called the person who inventories what comes off the truck and they said they've never seen that item. They don't carry it. So the associate tells me that there have been 2 items advertised in their event that they don't carry because not all stores receive the same merchandise. Got ya. Here's MY response to that...if the sale event items aren't available at every location then perhaps your ads shouldn't be as well. Or state on the ad which item is available where. Yall don't pay for my gas and nothing irritates me more than thinking I'll just go buy it in store rather than pay shipping only to find that you're advertising merchandise to the public THAT YOU DON'T CARRY! I'll go back to sephora from now on. I've NEVER had that problem with them. When sephora advertises a product, they have it. If they don't, they call to get it. And if that's not possible they have offer a comparable item for less than its original price. Ulta can't even be bothered to do ANY of that. read more

I found my new stylist. After my stylist moved I've had a hard time getting a cut I was happy with. Loree took the time to cut my hair, paying attention to how it naturally lays. To cut to the chase my hair was butchered by a "stylist" named Connie on Saturday. I am not exaggerating when I say it was the worst hair cut of my life. Not merely because she cut it too short. Nor because it resembled in no way the pictures I showed her. No, it didn't even look like a real hair cut. It looked like a 5 year old attacked my hair with scissors. Large chunks missing, and no lengths matching up. It was a joke. I am not a dramatic or crying type, but I literally could not stop myself from bawling right there in the salon when I saw my hair. And what kills me even more was that when she just glanced at the pictures when explaining how I wanted my hair cut and I tried to get her to look more closely she just waved them away and said she didn't need to see them. Then she proceeded to take away all my hair. It feels like I was assaulted. I have no idea how this woman obtained a license to cut hair. I know it sounds like I'm rating one stylist and not the Ulta itself, but frankly I think if this business is going to hire someone who would do such a poor job it reflects their level of service. I used this woman because the woman I usually went to had quit. But because I trusted Ulta as a reputable business I allowed a new woman to touch my hair. And she ruined it. The manager, Melissa was very kind. She worked with me for another hour trying to get my hair to in some way look ok. And I appreciate that. But still, it shouldn't have happened to begin with. Now that I've washed my hair it looks terrible again and I'm going to have wait a couple months for it to grow before I can go anywhere else to try to reshape it. It won't even go in a ponytail without clips and stuff. I just feel robbed of my hair. read more

I absolutely love Ulta. It's the only makeup store I shop at, and up until this point, I've loved this location. However, I have gone in 4 times in the last 2 weeks looking for the new ABH Modern Renaissance palette. The first time I went in, they hadn't received any of them yet, and told me to come back on the upcoming Sunday. I went out of town that day, so I came back twice when I came home. One time, they told me they were sold out and didn't know when they would get any in. I went 2 days ago and they told me to come back Thursday (today). So today I walk in, and I asked an associate if they had any. She didn't even look at me for 2 seconds before running off and saying no and telling me to come back in a week. I spoke to another woman and told her about the lady that told me to come back today and also informed her that this was the 4th time I had come in for this 1 item. SHE SAID NOTHING, and she just stared at me like I was crazy. The original woman came running back by and said their truck came in today but they did not get any of the palettes in. I told her that I have come in 4 times, and with so much sarcasm she said "Well maybe you should call next time before complaining." SO RUDE. If there was another Ulta near me, I would never return to this one. read more
