Just horrible. Manager not responsive, front desk people change all the time but overall they're short or rude on the phone. No customer service at all. One therapist there gave an awful massage, another one talked about religion and politices the entire time. Save yourself! The one in Wayne is much better. read more

First time going to massage envy, showed up the recommended 15 minutes early to complete the forms and ended up sitting 30 minutes after my scheduled time till I decided to leave. Didn't even get a massage here.... My therapist (Jonathan) never came out and it's not worth my time to wait over 30 minutes for a scheduled appointment. I'm not sure what was going on back there and pretty disappointed I wasted the time traveling and waiting there for nothing. If you desperately need a massage for injury or stress related purposes like I did, take your business elsewhere. I would not recommend going here as you'll be more stressed out and your back will hurt more from sitting so long. read more

I got a massage here over the weekend. Would not recommend. While it was a nice place, I really didn't get anything that I asked for. In the pre-appointment questionnaire I filled out that I wanted to focus on shoulders and neck. The front desk asked me to confirm this, as did the massage therapist. As the massage therapist was confirming this she asked if there was anything else I wanted to focus on, I said I had a knot in my shoulder, she explained that it was scar tissue, how it happens, etc. Great. So she started mid-back, found a knot, and worked on it forever. Forever. I kept telling myself it probably just feels like forever because of the awkward silence on account of the music not working. She finally moved to my legs, I'm thinking weird that she didn't go to my shoulders and neck next being that was what I wanted to focus on but ok. Then she did the foot scrub that I added onto the massage. And then time was up! Soooo - I paid $15 extra for the scrub itself, it added no time onto my massage, so just took away time from what I wanted to focus on in the first place! I'm telling you not a single second was spent on my shoulders or neck. As I was leaving the room, I saw the tablet on the wall even had neck and shoulders highlighted! I'm an awkward person so I just paid and left. I'm regretting not complaining while I was there though. I've got 2 young kids, getting time to myself is difficult, so overall I'm just sad about my experience honestly. I don't know when I'll have time for a massage again. read more

I have been a member at Massage Envy for the past several years after an injury that I figured massage therapy would be helpful. With that being said you pay $70/month to obtain a package. I have accrued multiple packages and attempted to use them. Not only do the massage therapists cancel (more than one time this has happened) they also do not return your call after multiple attempts along with attempting to reach out to corporate. I do not find this company attempting to accommodate their guests in a positive manner, the massages are often cut short, along with some therapists that do not listen to the needs of their guests. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. I have had many, many massages in my life , this was by far the worst experience ive ever had. my massage therapist whose name i will not mention since im not sure if it is allowed, literally caused a PULLED MUSCLE in my NECK. That's how rough she was. and rude to be honest. I can't even believe it. She was so rough i feel as though it was intentional. i am in pain right now. The amount of mental anguish this visit has caused me is.. unbelievable. Especially considering i went to try to relax after a year and a half of an unprecedented pandemic, and i left with a pulled muscle in my neck which has not healed a week later. If you're looking for an actually good massage with a therapist who actually cares about your well-being, go to a non-franchised place like Optimal Massage or Freedom Massage. read more

I'm not sure why this location has such bad reviews - I had a wonderful experience here today. I called up this morning and was able to get an appointment for a facial at the exact time that I wanted. The staff was friendly and welcoming when I arrived. I arrived early for paperwork and was taken in on time. The esthetician, Regina, was very knowledgeable and really took the time to talk to me about my skin and what kind of facial would suit me best. She did a great job. I left and my face was glowing! The desk staff also provided me with skin care samples before I checked out, which is always a plus. Another aspect that I liked was that they were not too "salesy." I absolutely can't stand when you get a massage or facial and the staff constantly pressures you to buy their products. This atmosphere was not like that all, it was very relaxing. I had a massage and I wasn't planning on leaving a review but after sleeping on it I know i have to. Scotty gave me a massage yesterday and I will not be getting one from him again. Everything starts out great and normal, fine. Then he immediately grips up my neck so tight I get uncomfortable. That was weird. And now I woke up with something in my pain my ear that I didn't have when I arrived yesterday. Then he starts on my arms and that really is the weird part. He's pulling and twisting my arms all over the place and in ways that they are not supposed to go. I can hear him get upset and annoyed at me that I'm not relaxed enough when my arms are twisted behind me backwards. He got in between my shoulder blades it feels like and the whole time I was uncomfortable and counting down the minutes until I could be done. I came out in pain when I came in with no pain. I will not be receiving any services from this person again and I hope no one experiences what I had to experience. read more

I have scheduled *three* sessions here and have yet to get a massage. Each time I show up for a scheduled appointment, I am told that the booked therapist is not there. At the very least, they could call ahead to let me know that nobody is available. But they don't even do that. read more

As it seems is the case with everyone my massage was cancelled and they offered to reschedule same day, which was fine but they did say the therapist was sick.....Massage was just okay....massage therapist's phone went off during the massage, like ringing. Hallways were dark but room stayed bright and there was no other option when it came to lighting, or I was not offered one. I asked for hard pressure, it was so so, maybe I should have gone for a deep tissue massage but I didn't and when asked what pressure I did say as hard or deep as they could go (fully understanding that a deep tissue was different). Just felt meh afterwards, it was a gift but I will not be returning with my own money. Facial with Regina was amazing. Felt so so good. And she was thorough. I received an awesome massage from Justin for an hour. I was going to get the membership ($65 a month) thinking that it would include coming several times a month, but it only includes one service a month. Unfortunately, that's just not worth it. I wish they would give you a little more bang for your buck. Even 2 services a month would be better. There's no incentive to get the membership. If you come in more than once a month with the membership, you get charged an additional $45. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for this. What a shame. read more

Too many cancellations which says to me, poor management. For those reading this who look forward to, and dare I say, need a massage, you will understand how upsetting a cancellation can be. Especially when it is scheduled around a stressful time, or at the conclusion of a major project. I have been a Massage Envy customer for several years and tried various locations. While this location is clean, and conveniently located, I had to stop booking appointments at the Exton Massage Envy location because of repeated cancellations and extreme lack of professionalism and care for their customers. I used to see Mai at the Exton location, who is an amazing massage therapist but terrible to schedule with. I actually followed her to the Exton location from Springfield. I tipped her over 20 percent every session. I booked a 90 minute session, two months in advance, and received a call two days before the massage that Mai had to cancel because she had other plans. Not an emergency, but other plans. Totally unacceptable. Infuriating actually How can management let this keep happening? I was offered a reschedule, two weeks later. No thanks. Good management would not allow this to happen. And would have at least offered a gift card, reimbursement for my monthly payment, OR offer an appointment with a comparable massage therapist. I have been to various locations over two years and never had this problem elsewhere. Don't come here, it is not worth the disappointment. read more

Customer service needs work. They have canceled numerous appointments, some with as little as two hours notice - leaving a message that said 'we hope you got our earlier message'. I have one phone and one voicemail, which was not called to let me know that my massage was cancelled. In calling back, the front desk staff was rude! If I had cancelled with that little notice, I would have been out my entire fee, but they do absolutely nothing when they cancel on you with no notice! This isn't the first issue I've had, but it will be the last. Membership cancelled. If you really want to stay with Massage Envy, try Collegeville, the service is much better. read more

I just had an hour massage with Rayne and it was fantastic! She found trigger points in my neck and shoulder and was able to work them out without causing me more pain. I've already set up an appointment to come back for a 90 minute massage in February. Can't wait! read more

I had originally written a review trashing spa envy and while I stick by the 1 star, I was convinced by the manager to rewrite my review which gave out my private information. I stand by the prices being too high, as well as the cancellation policy being outdated and distrusting and can now add a lack of management to the mix. I think it took too long for the manager me back and while she keep herself from yelling, she was not pleased with me and in a rude way brought up my comment here. I'm not usually a pain in the ass customer. I have customers of my own. I know how tough criticism is. But I am critical of my service at spa envy. I arrived on time to my early appointment, listened as the clueless, but sweet desk girl called her manager because she couldn't figure out why they were overcharging a patient but annoyed member, and I never complained that I waited almost forty minutes until they brought me back. I sat for another twenty minutes until they told me they couldn't serve me. Just like that. No therapist, no manager, just some sweet, clueless front desk girl who faced the brunt of my irritation and deserved none of it. I'm sure this review won't make a dent in their business, but boy do I hope I'm wrong. read more

Such a frustrating experience. The therapists and front desk staff were always friendly and great. I have to agree with the other reviewers, however, about the management. I not only had several cancellations but when I asked about canceling my membership I had been told for FOUR MONTHS STRAIGHT that it would be canceled at the end of the month and no further action was needed. After FOUR months of arguing about it being canceled and being charged, I was finally told I actually needed to send in a written notice - while the front desk staff on the phone was very respectful and offered to refund me at least one month, the manager absolutely refused, stating I signed a contract and should have known. She was rude and disrespectful. I refuse to ever go back to a Massage Envy after receiving this extreme lack of respect for a customer. Therapists, you were fantastic. Management, I unfortunately will not be back and have encouraged anyone I know looking for massages to look elsewhere. read more
